I have been having hearing problems for several months. Totally loosing my hearing at times. Dr Rucker, my Audiologist (MD) bent over backwards sending my hearing aids in for repair and then taking me directly to the ENT PA to have my ears checked, a new hearing test, etc. After several appointments with my ENT physician and the PA, I was finally diagnosed with an ear infection and given an antibiotic by Dr Merritt. I am finally on the way to recovery and hearing again. PTL. Dr Merritt and Dr Rushing were very patient with me and I am now seeing Dr Merritt every 2 weeks until this is totally resolved. Thank you Dr. Rushing and Dr Merritt. The receptionists have also been very helpful making sure I get scheduled. read more

Stay away!! Waited over 2 hours my first 3 appointments. When I booked my next appointment I was told to book in the morning and I did for 10:15 today. Sat in the waiting room for 35 minutes (25 minutes I was the only person in the waiting room) finally brought into room and then sat for another 15 minutes and still haven't seen the doctor. I left and will never return. I was charged over $400 out of pocket for a steroid shot and was not told insurance may not cover it. It's seems it's all about the money and seeing as many patients as they can and not at all about patient care! read more

They would tell you you are okay when you know you are not, they will run their test find nothing which is great but will not push further to find out exactly what's wrong with you. Now I'm getting some allergy testing, because I have slim that keeps coming up! My pulmonologist said my lungs are clear and I have to speak to my nose and throw a doctor, but it looks like they're clueless and they have no idea what exactly is wrong with me. I may need a second opinion, the doctor was kind of cold didn't have no compassion and did not explain to me anything.. my sinuses are always inflamed which I have to breathe out of my mouth most of the time, I take allergy medications and they work for a little bit and then it comes back. I will need to get a second opinion because it looks like Barranco Clinic has no idea to find out what is wrong with me and this is unfortunate. read more

I had an ear infection and they put me with a nurse practitioner. She was excellent and helped me tremendously. The front office staff is super nice. I do think they make you wait in the room longer than they should. It seems disrespectful to the patient. Also they called my prescriptions into the wrong pharmacy. I called them to get it corrected and it was almost a week before they fixed it. That's along time after a Drs visit to get your medicine and alot of time for an infection to get worse. I didn't appreciate them doing that. The location of the business is horrible. One thing this plaza could improve on is having a golf cart shuttle to help people get from the car to the door. The parking lot is always full with no where close to park. Everyone I spoke to was complaining about the parking. I felt like I had to walk a half mile up hill just to get to the door. Thank goodness they have an elevator in the building. No joking. A golf cart shuttle would really make a difference for the patients. read more

This is my overall review of the Barranco clinic after having been here several times now. During the Corona virus - Now that businesses are starting to open back up. There's a lot of safety measures in place. When you enter the building prior to going into the doctors office your temperature is checked and you're asked a few questions "any fever or coughs?" "Traveled outside the area recently?" So once you're cleared you're giving a ticket and you can then enter the doctors office. The Barranco clinic is located on the second floor btw. You sign in and wait to be called to verify all information remain the same. Or make changes if anything's changed. I waited 10 minutes tops in the waiting room and then I was called to go in the back. I waited a little longer than normal this time to see the doctor. I started to get a bit impatient - So I asked the nurse if I could reschedule if it were going to take much longer; she assured me that I would be next to see the Dr. and also offered me some water. I was THIRSTY. I have to quench my thirst every so often or else I get really thirsty. She offered me either a cold or warm bottle which I opted for the cold bottle of water. She left the room and returned and made sure I was absolutely comfortable before leaving again. Adjusted my chair which definitely helped. Shortly afterwards Dr. Stuart entered with the nice nurse in tow. The service was fast! My ears felt great! I produce an impressive amount of ear wax so I like to go in for maintenance as often as possible. I would recommend this office. The staff is really helpful. The nurse I had today was excellent and kind. Definitely appreciated her making sure I was comfortable:) read more

I called their offices this morning as I was referred to them after visiting the ER. I mentioned to the female who picked up the phone at approximately 1:05 am on June 14th that I was referred to see Dr. Elizabeth Sundean. very rudely I was told that she left "months ago". when I asked for recommendations from other offices or doctors, I was sarcastically an,d rudely told to "just Google it". Not Recommended: Barranco in Clermont lost my records as I haven't been there for a few years. I had a 9:45 appointment. When I showed up at 9:30 they told me I had an 8:30 appointment and had been reminded by an email reminder. I did not get an email from them. The Dr. refused to see me. I should have checked their ratings before making an appt, after receiving a referral from Orlando Health ER in Clermont! But I trusted OH, and went on faith, but while getting directions, I noticed the clinic had a 2pt something rating, but I thought we would give it a try. Boy was I wrong! the office is too small to do social distancing, and there is no privacy when you're being asked questions at the front desk! But oooh they go into great deal before allowing you to make an appt!! The scheduler want to have our insurance adjuster contact them, so they could find out how much our insurance would pay, even though all they needed was our claim number!! I have been a nurse since 05/1980, and I have worked across the country in large and small hospitals and clinics, but I have NEVER seen a clinic schedule a new patient for a 15 min first time visit!! The Provider was in the room less than 15 seconds, before stating that there was very little he could do for my son's bilateral nasal fx, but he had no problem trying to sell him on becoming a patient for a non issue, and procedure to get him to provide his personal insurance info, so he set him up for testing, appts etc, and was going to order medication for a non accident related problem!!! They NEVER called in the medication!!! This providers' actions made me think, that the insurance and the clinic might have been working in connection to belitle my son' accident injury!!!! My very first and last impression with this clinic was so upsetting. I am in pain and trying to see someone ASAP (bad ear infection). The pain is incredible and just now trying to make an appointment, the woman in charge of assigning appointments actually LAUGHED at me (and it was obviously NOT in a sweet/empathetic way, trust me) while I was near crying in pain. Just unbelievable. If this Dr. chooses front office help that treats patients this way it certainly does not reflect well on her care. Wish I could could go back in time. I've suffered most of my life with allergies and sinusitis. Dr Bradfield performed surgery and things have only gotten worse. Wish I never stepped foot in there office. I now have scar tissue that obstructs my nasal passage. I would have chosen a different doctor if I knew what I now know. Unfortunate and careless with his hands to leave symptoms worse after performing my surgery. Be careful and chose wisely. Do your research. I was referred by South Lake Hospital ER after losing most of my hearing from severe wax impaction. I was told they take ER referrals asap and work them in quickly. When l called, l was told it would be a month, l would have to walk around 75% deaf for a month because they would not work me in for about 15 minutes. If you can't accommodate ER referrals, then tell the ER !!!! I was spoken to very rudely. They don't care about the patients, I can barely hear on the phone, barely hear my TV etc. DON'T TELL AN ER YOU WILL SEE EMERGENCY REFERRALS QUICKLY WHEN YOU WON'T!!! read more

Do not go!! Stay away! You call, ask"do you accept my GHI insurance" answer is "yes" we do. So you make an appointment. Again ask, do you accept my insurance. Answer: "yes" we do. Give insurance cards to receptionist. Pay co-pay and have a seat. See Dr. Bradfield (I give 4 stars for him. Staff "0"). He diagnose and orders testing. Prepare to leave office, told by staff someone will call you to schedule appointment. Indeed receive call to schedule, could not at the time due to travel. Return from overseas to a $270.00 bill from the Barranco Clinic stating, they "do not participate with my insurance." When you call to complain and make noise about the bill, staff transfer you to people who will not pick up their phone. Save yourself the aggravation. The staff are not astute! To make matters worse, the receptionist can't be bothered either and hung up on me twice because I inquired about paperwork that has taken them two weeks (so far) to complete. Dr Bradfeild is fantastic. Myself and the family have been going to him for years. I am a stage 4 thyroid cancer survivor of his. I went to all the city doctors, and was missed diagnosed for 10 months. I was recommended to see him through a third party. Did the biopsy and found out that I have cancer. Went in for surgery, not expecting stage 4. He painstakingly took hours to remove my thyroid. Taking extra care to not cut out my vocal chord. I can't sing like I use to, but I am alive and thriving 12+ years later. I love this man and all that he has done I HIGHLY RECOMMENDED him!!!! Do not listen to these posts. Dr Bradfeild is the bomb. Wow! I don't even know where to start with Barranco Clinic. I make an appointment for my daughter, weeks in advance, for the office in Clermont. Her appointment time was 8:45 AM in an office with not enough seating for all the people waiting. I stood and filled out the paperwork and submitted it, along with my ID and Insurance card. I was told today's visit was going to be a "consultation," therefore she would not receive any testing or treatment today. After an HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES, we were finally called back into an exam room. After another THIRTY MINUTES waiting in the exam room, the doctor finally makes his grand entrance. He spent less than 10 minutes with us and asked basic questions about her allergy symptoms before recommending we come back for full allergy testing. Wow, thanks for that valuable medical advice! We knew she needed allergy testing or we wouldn't have been there! We proceed to the counter and the receptionist tells us to wait while she answers a call and scribbles on some paperwork. After about five minutes, she tells us we can leave and the allergy testing department will be in touch. I drive my daughter back to school and realize we forgot to get her a doctor's note to excuse the tardiness. Now it gets EVEN BETTER! I call the office and reach the receptionist. I ask if she can email me a doctor's note for school and she says she cannot email! She literally told me she didn't have email capability! Seriously, in 2017 she cannot email me a note. I could drive back to the office, they could FAX it to me (yes, I said fax), or they could mail it to my home address. She suggested that I drive back to the office to pick up a note. I told her the office is 45 minutes away and I couldn't sacrifice any more of my day to make that 1 1/2 hour round trip. So I guess they are going to send a doctor's not via good old US MAIL. Honestly, I'm surprised they didn't offer to send a telegram. Finally, the receptionist tells me she was about to call me anyway (before I called her). She needs to collect the fee for the "office visit." I thought this was a consultation!!! I agree but tell her we only saw the doctor for about 10 minutes and he didn't really do anything except recommend allergy testing. She then proceeds to tell me we owe $111 for today's visit! Honestly, this place is not primarily interested in helping you. Their first priority is milking the most money for the least amount of service. Before the doctor even had my daughter tested, he was pimping a new treatment that doesn't require shots and is MUCH MORE CONVENIENT because you can administer it at home. Oh, he also said it's more expensive and it ISN'T COVERED BY INSURANCE. So, without even knowing what my daughter's allergies are, he recommends a more expensive treatment which is self-administered. He is already recommending treatment which has a higher profit margin for his office. That's right, we would pay more TO THE DOCTOR to NOT ACTUALLY SEE THE DOCTOR. This people who own and operate this practice should do a self-examination. They are in need of treatment and advice far more than any of it's patients. read more

I was in for a thorough evaluation which included a CAT scan. After diagnosing the problem, they did not do that surgery and referred me to another Dr. I asked Dr. Stuart if he could give me a cost to see if I could even afford it, and he said he could not, but it was a reasonable request and that the other Dr. should. Before spending more money on the specialist, I asked them what it MAY cost. They said they had no idea as they did not diagnose me. But if Dr. Stuart would let them know the procedure he recommends, they could look it up for me. I have been calling and leaving messages all week plus, and have not gotten a response. It is very frustrating to go to a Dr., then get left high and dry when you need something. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my mother over the phone and was told it would be for 1:45 at their Clermont office. We admittedly arrived a few minutes late at 1:50. The receptionist told us that our appointment was for 1:30 and that we were 20 minutes late and that their "courtesy" time only extended for 15 minutes. After checking with the doctor, we were told that they would not see my mother today and we would have to reschedule. My mother, who was right in front of them, is 95 years old!. They obviously care more about finishing up a little early for the day than helping an elderly patient. After reading the other reviews here, I wouldn't be surprised if we would have been waiting an hour or more anyway if we had been there at 1:30. That's another sore spot with me. Why would I have written 1:45 on my calendar - while I was on the phone making the appointment - if they had told me 1:30 at that time? I'd be willing to bet that they wanted us to show up 15 minutes early to do their paperwork and put 1:30 in their computer system without telling me. The Barranco Clinic isn't the only option in town, and I definitely did NOT reschedule with them. read more

I'm not much of one to write reviews, but when I think it may be helpful to others I do. My warning here...if you have surgery via this office, and you run out or low on meds, they are very slow to respond. Basically they send a note through an application and if/when the doc sees it and responds then another person is notified...when the next person happens to see the doctors response then you may get meds when they get to it. This IS the expedite process. lol. There is apparently no way to use phones any longer. Software can be great for automation but it does not always help the patient or fix common sense. read more

I have had canceled appointments on a regular. The office is extremely disorganized with scheduling and follow up. I had a surgery planned with Dr. Sundine and my Cigna insurance requested to have a doctor to doctor call. She refused to and the surgery was cancelled. They charge for unnecessary appointments as well. read more
