We came to the restaurant by pure chance and were told that the kitchen is still closed and we should come back in 20 minutes. I am ever so glad we did!
The mixed starter player was to die for. Not only were there two different types of local meat, but also great burrata, some mozzarella twists, plenty of great tasting olives and some picked pepperoncino. But the highlight of the platter was the eggplant, which was positively divine.
The main dishes were very good too... I had agnoletti, a local take on meat stuffed ravioli in a meaty sauce. It was very satisfying indeed... And quite filling at that... Other dishes were flawless, if slightly rustic as well.
House wine is inexpensive and very agreeable. The service is relaxed, but courteous, helpful and unimposing.
I will gladly visit this place again! read more
