We set up an appointment for 6/29/26 and Jimmy Hodnett came today 6/28 (day early) and found we had a blockage from the house to the distribution box, he used the snake and blockage is gone. Problem stemmed from our purchasing a new toilet about the time the tank was pumped out. It seems newer toilets need to be flushed TWICE to get things moving to septic system. Very grateful for the professional manner in which Jimmy resolved our problem, answered our questions and offered suggestions to "keep things moving" in the future. Thank you! I did this, and received a call within 30 minutes (from Danville). The scheduler said no one could come out that night, but the plumber would be out between 9 and 11 the next morning. As I had already shut off the water inlets and outlets, bled the pressure, and the pipe was no longer spraying water, this seemed reasonable. At 8:40 the next morning, I received a call from Danville again, telling me that their plumber was off on Sundays, so the soonest they could get out was Monday after 5 PM. I was expecting and prepared to pay after hours / Holiday weekend rates for emergency service when I needed it. I didn't get that. Do not advertise "24/7" service if you aren't able to offer anything even close to that. I did call the Blacksburg office (the number listed in this page) to confirm that they had no availability for today. Not impressed. I'll wait for my regular guy if I'm waiting.

I used them for 9…read moremonths to empty the black tank on my 5th wheel RV...only to be told on the 10th visit by the owner, at 5:30PM on a Friday afternoon, after all other businesses were closed for the weekend, and three days after I called to schedule the appointment, that he could no longer clean my tank. He was rude, discourteous, shouted at me saying there was nothing he could do, got angry at me and screamed he had just fired his secretary and didn't need this s#$%, and then hung up on me. He's quite despicable and a disgrace to the Roxboro community who, in my experience, has a great number of reputable, helpful, kind and small-town friendly businesses. I got the impression Kendrick's is way over their head in what they can and cannot handle and may likely be on the way out of business. It would not be a great loss in my opinion.
