As someone who knew barely anything at all, I was a bit overwhelmed and lost while looking through their selection (which is very well presented and organized). Nick, an employee there, was so helpful in assisting me as I looked for certain titles, explaining how comic cycles work, and how their store operates. They even checked their back stock to see if they had certain issues I was seeking! My fav comic shop I have ever attempted to look through. I even signed up for their really cool subscription plan! I have been here quite a few times over many years and although I love how this place went from…read morekind of dilapidated to a very cool and modern shop that has A TON of different stuff, sometimes the staff is hit or miss. Last time I was there, there was a young boy with his mom, he was looking at pokemon cards. The mom clearly didn't know much and the people at the counter did not offer any help. He wanted to look through bulk but the counter was too high. The mom gave up and just told him to look at the cards on display and pick from there. I swear if this kid could've looked through the bulk he would've had such an amazing experience! (They have good cards). Instead he walked away with a single card from the display. Kinda sad, I know lots of adults collect this stuff but we can't forget that we became obsessed with it when we were kids like him.

They rarely keep a good back stock of past comics. Most of what's available seems to be leftover issues that didn't sell, rather than a curated selection of popular or essential titles. If you're looking for anything specific from recent weeks, chances are it's already gone. New comic release days feel like they're catered exclusively to regulars. I arrived at 11:20 AM on release day and the Redband Punisher issue was already sold out. It's frustrating to see how few copies they order--there's never enough for everyone, and it feels like unless you have a pull list or know someone, you're out of luck. If you're a casual reader or someone trying to get into comics, this store might not be the most welcoming or reliable place to find what you're looking for.
