This one is in Walnut Creek. I think it's the same set up as other Barnes and Nobles but this one is not a big as the one in Brentwood but still beautiful. There are places to sit and chill or read a book which I love. Can't go wrong with a Barnes and Noble.

My happy place. I like paper books as opposed to reading on my reader. I am old school in this regard. I love coming here and perusing books. Yes, you can buy them cheaper online but it's different when you are here and get the overall book perusing and buying experience. Do support them!

I got a Katseye S.I.S album for $8 more, but since I really wanted it I said why not. I already had one but wanted more photocards. It came with ONLY 3!!! I got 4 before! Even worse, it was 3 of the same person! Worst album EVER for me. Next time I'll get it at Target cheaper, and NOT a scam

This isn't a B&N that I frequent, but when I'm in the area, I like to stop by to see what they have in stock. During my last visit, my best friend found the last two signed hard copies of Done and Dusted, and we just had to get them! She also found a signed copy of Jojo's recently released memoir, but I had to stop myself from buying since I already have a physical copy. I'm usually shopping the romance section, which is pretty small here compared to other stores. But it's always nice, clean, and organized, so really no complaints. I'm just sad that they don't have an annex section. I love me a discounted coloring book, word search, or sticker book add-on! Lol. The kids/young adult section + games and other entertainment is separated into another section of the store, just going down a couple of steps. It's pretty spacious, and I always see a lot of kids and their parents shopping there. The service is always quick and friendly at check out. Don't really see too many people working on the floor, just mostly at the cash register. But anytime I have needed help, they're happy to stop what they're doing and give me a hand! Will definitely continue to stop by here when I'm shopping in Walnut Creek!

This Barnes & Noble Bookstore was great!! I came here during the Holidays, so it was good and crowded. Plenty of books and gifts for readers here as well as games and puzzles. A very clean and organized store, and the line moved pretty quickly, even though it was long. I did like how they had multiple tables set up with books with different genres. It definitely made me stop and look. Located right on the corner in Downtown Walnut Creek, a prime location!!

Great B&N location! This one is a good size, I have yet to explore the entire store. The sections are neat and organized, there are places to sit throughout the store. Employees are very helpful and even if there is a line formed at the front, the wait time goes by very quick! The times I have visited, the shelves are always well stocked and I usually go in not looking for a particular book by a certain author, rather, I go in to browse and see what they have on the shelves. I normally enter thru the kids section as it's closest to where I park. You'll find lots of great gifting ideas here. Games, puppets, classic books, vinyls, stationary, and more! Latest visit, I left with a new deck of oracle cards and a few books - one on oracles, a few poetry, an inspo book about creativity, and a cute notebook set. I would like to explore more in the self-help, poetry, travel, and kitchen sections next time. I would like to try to find a Brazilian food cook book - I browsed really fast, but I don't think I saw one there. I'm sure you can search for what you want and then they can order it for you too. Everything is fairly priced - some are more or less expensive like stationary desk organizational goods, but you pay for the quality and the name. You can find cool gifting things here - perfect for any time of the year imo. I loved the puppets and it brought back memories to go on the hunt for some of my old children's book faves. Their game selection is pretty strong too. Always take a peek at what they have there cause I like to see what's out on the market these days. I can spend hours inside here! Good thing there are comfy chairs, side tables, and free 3 hour parking garages nearby!

Came here since I was walking around downtown Walnut Creek and it's a cute store with many selection of books to choose from. So glad I was able to stop by this store.

OMG is it the happiest place in the Bay Area? MIGHT BE. I love it!!! The best replacement for that forever 21 store. You can spend hours in here! Nothing like a book store. The staff is so helpful and wonderful! Especially Meagan! She's so delightful! Stop by IMMEDIATELY

Well curated with a very nice and helpful staff. Thank goodness we have at least one bookstore back in downtown WC.

This record store in Walnut Creek has got a lot going for it: they've got a large selection of…read morerecords in the front room and an equally large selection of budget/used records in the side room, to the left, when you walk in (that's where the real treasures are). They have live music upfront, as well as a dedicated performance space in the back of their store. They also had a great selection of free stickers that we saw on our way out. And they sell skateboards and skate paraphernalia. The only downside, which is the case for most modern records stores, is the prices reflect how popular vinyl is these days and most of the records in the front section are selling for at least $30. However... to contrast that, I saw records in their used section for as cheap as $.97, which is really great. Highly recommend.

The pricing for new vinyl is pretty consistent with what you see or find at similar independent record stores. I really like the vibe and layout of this store. It's so large that you have separate rooms for primarily their used stuff and a separate area that looks like a hang out area. There's even a room towards the back where I think they have live shows. During out visit, it was used to hold the records that came in for Black Friday or Record Store Day 2025. Came here with some family to do some holiday shopping and just generally looking for stuff. There was a coffee cart there serving up free beverages, which was a nice touch. I ended up getting a couple of records I've been looking for awhile and being able to buy a couple records my nephew wanted for Christmas. There's also plenty of street and lot parking that makes the place easily accessible.

The old Barnes and Nobles you could spend a couple hours walking around looking at books. This is the light version. Unfortunately online stuff has put us in the situation where you can go into this bookstore and cover the whole place in around 15 minutes. I was looking at the "horror" section and it's okay but again, the light version. Also the fact everything is so expensive now also doesn't help. A paperback was 20 bucks. I'm not paying 20 bucks for a book I'll read once that I can get a the library for free. Magazine prices are absurd. I did find a couple that were 8 bucks but most are over ten and usually more. For a magazine. I hope this type of place keeps going but I can see why they don't. Support your local book store.

Delighted to find it was lower than Amazon and even some other online used bookstores. I arrived at Barnes & Noble and decided to browse a bit before picking up the book. I find the layout of the store quite easy to navigate. For the most part items are easy to find. As I was browsing, a clerk named Kara asked if I needed any help. That's always nice. As it turned out she also helped me when I went to the checkout area for my book. For some unknown reason the online price did not pop-up and I was reluctant to pay the full price (less the 10% member discount). Kara was very diligent about finding the originally quoted price. Very refreshing to find good customer service. That's what keeps customers coming back!
