One thing that's very important in how I perceive value from a business is there customer service and the satisfaction that comes from a good experience-- if you're looking for a quality business to fill your game niche or hobby, this place is the best in town.

I've been to a lot of comic shops, and this one is top of the heap. It's clean and well organized,…read morethe comics are in a logical order and easy to peruse. Prices are very fair for an LCS. But three things made it really stand out: 1) The owner Rob and I traded about a half-dozen messages on Facebook about issues I was looking for, and when I showed up two days later, voila, there they were. This guy had no guarantee that I'd be showing up, but he still held onto my books for me. 2) Rob asked me where my LCS was and I told him Duncanville Bookstore (about a 5 hour drive away), and he told me that he knew the owner Andy and that he'd helped Andy out at a past show out of town. Just says a lot about how devoted he is to the comic shop community. 3. He was tossing out a few damaged and coverless books and I asked if I could have them for my wife who is an elementary librarian. Not only did he give me those, but then he grabbed about 30 age-appropriate books from FCBD for me to give to her to use. I feel bad that I can't remember the name of the fellow who was running the register, but he was just as friendly as Rob. I'll certainly do business here again the next time I'm in town.

Yikes, I know, but it was her money. The next most expensive item was a set of Aura Buds TWS Earbuds my oldest daughter bought for $8. But it still has cool stuff for affordable prices on many items. The t-shirts were definitely picked over. Several aisles and/or sections were disorganized and rummaged through by other shoppers. The worst part was checking out... a young female employee checked out about half of my items then left the rest to me. Just go back to having cashiers if you're that worried about stolen merchandise. It was okay, but doubt I will be back unless the kids bring their own money.

Every time I've visited, the staff members have stopped to talk with me about games in general and advise me about particular games and series they have in stock or anticipate getting. Even when they're busy, they find time to be friendly and helpful. They are very knowledgeable and, equally as importantly, it's been a long, long time since any Gamestop here or in the DFW area has made me feel like a valued customer on an individual basis and it means a lot to me that they do. Is Costco trendy? I just know Yelp wants to ask me that question. And it sure seems like it…read more They're like the Target of big box wholesalers or something. Sure they've got neat stuff, I guess, but I'm trying to figure out why I should rate them any higher than the Sam's Club in town. They both have the same concept, just with different names on their stuff. There are things you can find here that you can't at the other one, and vice versa. Sam's has the best tortilla chips, Costco has those delectable coconut rolls. Sam's has better canned chicken (weird flex, I know), Costco has a better chilled room for their fruit. And they both suck at the keeping cracker cut cheese from going bad before the date on the package. There's the regular old concession stand past the checkouts where you'll wait in a long line for a long time. There's the telecomm salespeople waiting to harass you as you come in the door. And as with all wholesalers, I just can't stand the sheer volume of stuff they sell. I think it all just leads to greater waste.

(I chuckle real hard when I hear those Texas accents complain that "dang, it's pretty busy today.") Parking is easy. I always snag a spot relatively close to the entrance and a return cart receptical. People are rude everywhere you go, but here most of the customers still have their manners and make eye contact with you. Love that too. The gas station has the shortest lines of any Costco Gas Station I've ever seen. Did I mention their prices are the cheapest too? Most things I have found to be in stock. I don't come here for groceries, though, because I live 105 miles away. That'll change once I have a vehicle large enough for a large ice chest. That being said, they have employees who do not know where certain items are because "they don't work in that department." Twice this has happened. And I think to myself, "Okay, so whip out that walkie talkie and find out because obviously I came to you as a last resort." I noticed a big change from November 2022 to December 2022. In November they still had the plexiglass barrier at the checkout stands. In December, those suckers were removed. Not even sure why they had 'em because I always have to have folks repeat themselves. They don't seem to protect you much from illnesses (that you shouldn't be shopping with anyway) any better than those cloth face masks. So, thanks, Costco Lubbock. See ya' next road trip.

It's great but also gets me in trouble that this location is close to me and to J Roberts (so I usually go to both if I go to one). Francesca's has been the source of probably 60%+ of my jewelry purchases. They offer both trendy and timeless pieces with earrings ranging from $5-$12 and necklaces usually in the $20-$30 range. Definitely not bad. I get lots of tops and dresses here. Scarves are another top seller in my book and I have one small clutch from here. I could spend hours just looking over the tables of knick knacks. The only drawbacks to this location are that it is very small. My husband normally will go anywhere shopping with me because he is a saint. However, he draws the line here because its so small and crowded that he feels awkward waiting around for me while I prance back and forth all over the store. And lastly, the sales staff is so hit to miss. Sometimes they are welcoming, accommodating, and friendly. Other times they seem to judge you if you're not looking your best and assume you aren't worth their time. In this case they continue chatting amongst themselves and completely ignore your presence in the store. Which can be really awkward when there's 4 of them and you're the only customer in the tiny space.
