A large and organized store. I went in the back entrance from the playground. There was a register but I don't think that's used often. There were a few sale/marked down item racks througout. Each section was nicely organized; I saw a Harry Potter section which I love as a HP nerd. The kids section was spacious; they have a little stage area for storytime. I saw a sign that they read to kids every Saturday morning at 11 am. My toddler loved the mini train set they had there. There is also a cafe onsite up at the front of the store, which was pretty popping on a weekday. There were gifts and other knick knacks; great place to buy things for book worms. Overall, a nice bookstore with a great selection!

We hardly have Barnes & Noble where I live. So this was a treat. My son adores going in this store. However him being a toddler, I'm constantly telling him no don't touch the books. We went to go check out the selection of puzzles and toys for him. They have a good kids' section. This particular location is a good size. They have helpful staff. They have a little cafe area with Starbucks within. Overall, great stop if you are in the area because it's within a plaza that has other shops as well.

Spent a very pleasant hour there today, browsing, looking for a gift, having a coffee and people watching. PLenty of bargain bins to sort through looking for treasures. Nice music section too at the back of the store. We interacted with three employees - a woman at the information desk, our cashier, and the server at the coffee shop - all were very friendly and helpful. We saw a ton of people in the coffee shop taking advantage of the free wifi.

    Mocha Frappuccino.

I just had the most unpleasant encounter at the Starbucks at this location. I asked the employee (Sarah) if my order was correct and within seconds she snapped at me. I was picking the drink up for a friend and I wasn't sure if the drink was made correctly because I personally have never ordered it. After she snapped at me, I calmly asked her to please be nicer to her customers. The fact that she is a manager is BEYOND me. And not to mention our drinks came out like ice block slushees rather Frappuccino's.

Lovely store. But long waits at the checkout. Just one poor chap working. Did someone say "Kindle"?

I love this Barnes and Noble - located in the middle of the Shoppes at Farmington Valley, it is somehow managed to be kept clean and organized.

A diamond in the rough. The owner prides himself in charging retail and limiting product so true…read morecollectors can collect. The only people that don't like it here are the scalpers. Give this store your business.

"Two of us riding nowhere Spending someone's hard-earned…read morepay" (Lennon and McCartney) Our "de-cluttering the house" mission continues, and today my quest took me to Two Guys Comics and Collectibles in Canton, CT with a white shopping bag in hand. Inside the bag were some Simpson's memorabilia I was looking to sell, namely (don't laugh) 50 Simpsons pogs and two empty boxes of Simpsons cereal. For the curious, they would be Bart Simpson Peanut Butter Chocolate Crunch and Homer's Cinnamon Donut. I met with Carl (one of the two Two Guys), and found him to be a very nice down to earth young man. He looked at what I brought in, and did some pricing research while I looked around. Two Guys is quite the destination for pop culture nerds who can't get enough of comics, DVDs for a buck, collectible figurines (Star Wars and Marvel are popular), graphic novels, games and a treasure chest of cool stuff. One cool thing I learned was that the Two Guys are hosting a Community Day tomorrow to come in and schmooze, with free comics to kids under ten. I had done some research on what my stuff had recently sold for on-line, and then cut that number in half to approximate what I was looking for.  I was thrilled when Carl came back with the exact same number! So my first visit and transaction with Two Guys was 100% pleasurable and satisfactory. As we continue to thin out our 35+ years of accumulated stuff, I suspect I'll be returning to see those Two Guys again.
