I had a great experience with Barlow's delivery. They delivered my new oven from Home Depot. Carlos is especially friendly and customer service oriented. Corey his assistant was also very polite and helpful. They gave me time to clean behind my old oven after they removed it. They set my clock and showed me how to operate the control panel features and tested the timer. They let me test each of the oven's features to make sure they worked including testing all 4 burners on "HIGH" and even boil a small sauce pan of water to test how long it took to boil water. Carlos even saved me money. He informed me that the 3-pring plug was already included on my unit so that I would get a refund for the one I ordered from Home Depot at $25 and he noted that on my paperwork and returned the unused plug to the warehouse. I received a call 2 days before my delivery date, a lady informed me that I would be getting a call from my delivery guy on delivery day and that they would be coming between a 4-hour window of 8am-12pm. I also made extra sure they had my home address so they wouldn't accidentally deliver to my billing address. MAKE SURE TO DO THAT. The day of delivery Carlos called and I was away from my phone but he left a message letting me know they were on their way. They showed up about 20 minutes later. I had already made sure I had made a clear path from their truck to my kitchen and secured my pet in the room to make delivery easy and had cleaning supplies handy to clean quickly behind the old oven (broom, towel and 409). The entire process took about 30 minutes from the time they arrived to the time they left. I was so pleased I called Barlow's to compliment them to their boss. Just remember: our attitude directly affects a delivery person's attitude. I greeted Carlos with a big smile and he returned it in kind! And it was raining (rain storm day after Thanksgiving!) so their job was a little harder than usual, especially since my old school 1980s oven they removed was super heavy. Love my new oven and it arrived in perfect condition. NOTE: MAKE SURE THEY HAVE YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS if you have a different billing address to ensure they deliver to your home address. They scheduled delivery between 10-3 and were a no show on a washing machine that was ordered through AHS. Called several times to not ony get told they had the item but they were refusing to deliver it, saying all the slots were filled despite having delivery scheduled. These people are terrible. I still dont have a definitive time or date. I asked for a supervisor call back to never get one. Update #2. The delivery guys showed up. The washing machine was thrown in the top of the truck every which way. They came in started to remove my old washer, and figured out they didnt have enough room in their truck to put the old washer, even though it's smaller than the new one. They wanted to leave it on the side of the street and when told they couldn't because of the HOA they got pissy and stated they had to reschedule. I was being told that I was being unreasonable by these guys for wanting them to take the old machine, and one of the guys wanted to throw down with me. Avoid this company at all costs. When they refused delivery they just tossed the new machine in without any cares damaging the machine. Update#3: Dee told AHS that they would be refusing to deliver as I was "irate," without realizing their guys were the issue here, trying to fight me. They said it "fell off the truck". they then struggled to remove and install the washing machine, damaging my stairs, walls and wood floors. I then filed a complaint with the company and they said they would reimburse me. It has been well over a month with several texts and calls, and I still have no payment- only excuses. Barlow Company delivered a dishwasher and microwave we purchased from Home Depot. Once all was installed the installers left trash all through my house and a pool of water in my entryway. Either coming in or going out something large hit the corner of my entryway walls and left gouges, dents, and scuffs on my walls and pulled a corner baseboard off the wall; they didn't bother to say anything, I found these after they had left. While this is all stuff I can fix this was completely unprofessional. I don't carry my phone around waiting for a call, had I known they were coming I would have. Note there is a gate he could have walked through and walked 30 ft to my condo unit and ask for the gate code. I have heat intolerance resulting from MS. These guys are absolutely horrible. I've had them deliver 3-4 times now appliances I've ordered through Home Depot. I imagine HD uses them because they're cheap and you get what you pay for. This is what they do. 1) they change the delivery times last minute. They were supposed to deliver between 12-4 today but the drivers called at 6:30 am saying they were a half hour away and there was a last minute "schedule mixup". Total nonsense and not the first time. I don't even know if they're employer knows they're doing this. I think they take it upon themselves to shorten their work day. Also the never do what's on the work order. The first few deliveries I couldn't be their because I was working but there were other people doing work on the house. They left the appliances in the boxes, didn't install them or take away the old appliances even though it was on the work order and I paid for it in advance. read more

O would be a better rating! Barlow Delivered my GE glass Cooktop and did not install it according to the directions on the GE Installation Instructions. They DID NOT use the Foam Tape that is needed to get the cooktop flush on the granite and give the cooktop extra strength. It is only 8 months old and we already have 1 chipped corner and now the other corner has a big chunk of glass missing! GE does not warranty installation if they don'e do it, so we are screwed!!! This company should be barred from any major appliance delivery as is stated in the many reviews posted that were totally unsatisfied with service and no care was taken by the delivery guys. There is more than 2 millimeters space around the edges therefore making it very weak for normal wear. Worst service I've experienced in my life. Brought new $1,019 LG washing machine on 6/6/2022, machine was damaged - dented in on one side. The next machine they brought didn't have hoses, I paid extra for stainless steel hoses. Third delivery they forgot hoses again!!!!!! Delivery guys said it wasn't their fault, said it is home depot's fault. Delivery guy contacted someone in valley and person on other line said the delivery guys need to go to home depot and get hoses. Delivery guys said not their fault so won't go to home depot. Had my side by side fridge delivered by this co. They never tested the water dispenser to see if it worked we trusted all was okay until we tried it and NO WATER!! In the 28 years living in our home we have taken extra care not to scratch/dent the laundry room entry door and doorjamb. Due to carelessness (and laziness), and for the sake of speed, in 30 minutes or so, these two guys managed to change all this by scraping and gouging the laundry room door and doorjamb, for what could've been avoided had they taken a little extra time and precaution. There's no doubt it was tight getting the appliances through the doorway, BUT had these ignorant gorillas taken some slight precautions (say, like, sliding a thin piece of cardboard between the appliances and the doorjamb as they passed through), this recklessness could've likely been avoided. **I really have a hard time believing that delivery companies provide no training or protective material for situations like this.** After reading so many of these one star reviews I also hold HOME DEPOT in equal fault as Barlow's for continuing to do business with this hellacious delivery service company. read more

Barlow delivery truck showed up at my billing address to deliver my stove I purchased from Home Depot. I told them this is my billing address not delivery and they refused to take the stove one block down to my correct delivery address. The drivers called their office who instructed them that they will have to call Home Depot to reschedule delivery to correct address. Two guys came and delivered our Fridge, Stove and Microwave on Monday. They installed the Fridge the Stove. Then they realized the microwave won't fit with the backsplash. They left our new microwave in our kitchen and then still took our old microwave away. We took down the backsplash on Monday afternoon, we called to have them come out again to install the Microwave. They couldn't come till Friday. Then today the company called and said they were coming tomorrow at 7am. I asked if they could come in the afternoon cause I have a doctors appointment on the other side of town at 8. So said they come out till next week cause we live so far. Horrible service and lack of skilled installers. This company uses unskilled labor who does not know how to install the products they deliver. They have caused significant damage to my kitchen floor and then tried to pass the blame off as a product defect. The installers who were in an apparent rush did not realize they installed a dishwasher hose which was damaged. Yet they wonder why it was leaking and again tried to pass the blame. They were out to my home twice and insisted no issues yet did not bother to remove the dishwasher or slide it out to see the damaged hose they installed. Save your money and damage to your property. I have NEVER encountered such rude people. I was told I'd have a call 30 minutes before they reached my home. Someone called to say they will be between 40 and 60 minutes out after their next delivery. I asked that they call after they are done with that job and on the way. They did not acknowledge the request and simply hung up. The next call I got was over an hour later and they said they were at the home. I told them they will have to wait a few minutes because they did not call me when they were on the way. 7/24/18 This company was prompt, the delivery people (3) were very polite and professional and very careful with the appliances as they brought them in to our home. They were unable to install the microwave as the space did not provide adequate support and would need some revision. I guess I had good luck. Barlow's (Tucson) delivered our freezer. Dispatcher called the day before with delivery time between 1 and 5. She said the driver would call 30 minutes ahead. He called about 10 minutes before arrival, but apologized saying he'd give me plenty of time to empty the freezer. They arrived right at 1PM. Both deliverymen were very courteous and appreciative. They hauled away our old freezer. I wish I had gotten their names. Arturo signed the copies of the paperwork he gave to me. Granted, I had an easy install. I had the old freezer emptied and sitting outside the front door (5 cu ft. chest). I had also installed an outlet in prep for the new freezer. Worst experience ever. The Home Depot should be ashamed that they use this delivery service. They didn't show up for the scheduled delivery date and never bothered to call and let me know. Nothing like waiting all day in a Saturday for a scheduled delivery and having nobody show up. They took it upon themselves to reschedule on a day they saw fit without even calling me. I then rescheduled for a day that I took from off from work. They were supposed to call ahead when delivering, no call. Didn't matter because I was home waiting for them anyways. I then spoke with "the supervisor" "Dee" she had a worse attitude than Vanessa. She told me I was not home for the delivery and I was out of luck and could reschedule 2 weeks from that day. Really? What terrible "service". If I hadn't been forced to use them through Home Depot, I never would have. I hope that Home Depot wakes up and uses someone else in the near future! I mean, I really like Home Depot, they are a favorite haunt of mine since buying a house, but Barlow's Delivery service makes me want to abandon Home Depot for good. I could not get a straight time out of them for delivery. I will admit that my schedule is difficult to work with, but they were not willing to be accommodating at all. They eventually said that if I wasn't available for their delivery schedule that I would have to get a refund through Home Depot in two weeks. (Really?! That's my best option? Not buying the washer and dryer at all?!) When they finally arrived, the 20 minute installation took almost a full hour. They scratched the side of the washer and dryer during the installation. (Not a big deal to me, as the units would hide the marks on each other.) After scooting the washer and dryer around on my tile floor for a while during the hook up, they ended up causing a great deal of scratches and scuffs to the tile underneath the units. Once they were finally ready to hook up the dryer, they realized they didn't have the proper power plug. Apparently most dryers have plugs on the top, but this one is on the bottom. The delivery guy admitted that they had another plug that would have worked for this unit. While disconnecting the plug he had just installed he completely stripped the screws that connect the dryer. (Forcing me to buy new ones when I went to buy a new plug!) I also later noticed that the guy had stripped several screws on the door while swapping the direction it opened! Worst of all, he connected the hot and cold on the washer backwards. I didn't notice this until washing a couple of loads of cold water laundry. After the clothes dried, not only were they shrank, but a lot of the colors had come out. This effectively ruined a lot of delicate clothing and some rather nice towels. I called Barlows to complain, and was told that I had been connected to the Phoenix office, but would need to talk to the Tucson office. When I asked for the Tucson office, I was told they could take a message and have someone call me. After more than 48 hours of waiting, I called them back. The notes on my account mentioned that the account had been directed to the Tucson office, but didn't say way. I had to re-explain the situation to some new person. After listening to my tale, she blind transferred me to a number that no one ever answered. When I called back, Ruth said that was the Tucson office and that they must be closed. Now I'm stuck waiting for a call (again). Long story short: - They scratched the units during delivery. -They scratched my tile floors. -They stripped several screws, including on the door and power cord. -They hooked up the washer wrong, causing damage to a lot of clothes. As long as Barlows is doing Home Depot's deliveries, I will not buy anything from Home Depot that needs to be delivered. read more

Had a brand new washer and dryer delivered. The guy in the truck stacks them on top of each other and they fall about 12 feet from the lift and crash on to the cement driveway. I could tell the guy was worried that I saw it. Which I did and had to refuse delivery as the items were then damaged. Where to begin? First, they called at 730am to give us our 30 minute notice that they will be there at 8. That is the only good thing about this review. To begin, my wife and small children were home, and I guess the delivery team figured they could get one over on her. The microwave they decided to leave in the box was very, very clearly dropped. The entire corner of the box was crinkled and as soon as I got home and opened it, I discovered that not only the box, but the styrofoam, and the microwave were crushed. They took everything else out for inspection. They decided to try and pull a fast one on is. Called them and the jackass that answered told me to call Home Depot and hung up. Upon further investigation, the dishwasher they half ass unboxed was also damaged and missing the kick plate gave an immediate LC code 2 minutes after turning it on. Pulled unit out and verified no leak externally and here I am. Already waited a week to get broke appliances, and now I have to wait another week for them to deliver and pick up the crap. This is an update to my prior 1 star review (would have preferred a 0 star). First, the original review was for the Phoenix not Tucson location. Took off from work for scheduled 11 am - 3 pm delivery. Called the evening before since I didn't get a confirmation call. The woman said you don't have an 11 - 3 pm scheduled, it's 4 pm - 8 pm. The prior woman that scheduled made an error. Preferred the 4 - 8 pm which originally they would not give me, but now my entire day was arranged around the wrong appointment time! Received a call "we'll be there in 30 - 40 minutes" prior to delivery. Took all the food out of the refrig. They arrived 75 minutes later. The only reason I give it two stars is because this installer (from Tucson) was helpful and knowledgeable (unlike the Phoenix team). The installer told me "we're helping them out (meaning Phoenix) because they're having some issues." Still all in all, it is by far the worst delivery service I have ever experienced. I had extreme difficulties with the delivery service for JC Penneys, Barlow's. Their service is hideous. All of the employees I encountered both on the phone and in person including the manager were rude, discourteous, and disrespectful. They lied repeatedly about delivery time and lack of contact. They simply appeared with no notice the first time and were disrespectful and demanding. They then left before I could personally accept delivery. Wow! We ordered new high end Lg appliances. A fridge, double oven, and micro wave. First attempt at delivery 2 out of 3 damaged. Refused items. 2 days later after purchasing the proper cleaning supplies, we discovered that what we thought was scuff marks on the oven was actually huge scratches below the control panel of the $1700 double oven and a small dent. This is after delivery driver plowed into our curbside tree and busted a huge branch, while I stood trying to get him to stop. That was November 8th. This past Saturday, November 27th, delivery driver showed up with replacement micro and fridge. I told him we were putting dogs out back and to wait to come in and I also wanted to see condition of appliance. I went in and open front door while my wife put the dogs out. Next thing we know is this guy (Jorge) barged in with no mask like a freight train. My wife is a nurse. She asked him to wear a mask. He said he don't need one. My wife said well you better find one. He said he doesn't believe in covid. My wife said well you need to leave. We know Spanish and Jorge turned around and yelled in Spanish to his little helper,"put em back in truck. We're leaving this fucking bitch wants us to wear a mask!!!! We were stunned! Still am! Now my wife is crying, my daughter, my sister in law, all in tears. I had to beg him not to leave cause we need a fridge. I had to calm him down cause he was loosing it and we were a little scared of what he might do, he showed me the microwave and then through it on the ground. Not sure if it's damaged cause we haven't taken out of the box yet. The fridge though was not even packaged. They pulled the box off and what ya know, HUGE dent! They redelivered a damaged item!! Unbelievable! Most incompetent company and customer service I have ever dealt with! They said next delivery date.... December 30th! We ordered October 13th! Now our fridge is out and we're living out of RV fridge and coolers! And looks like we're stuck with damaged oven and maybe damaged microwave. Similar story to the rest of the reviews on this list. We ordered a fridge through Costco. They damaged our floors, doors and improperly installed the anti-tip mechanism for the fridge. It took 4 times from them to finally get a fridge that wasn't damaged and could take our old fridge. The whole experience was terrible, we are now attempting them to take responsibility for the damage they have done to our home but they won't call us back. GE has the contract with this company, my recommendation is don't buy a GE appliance until they can get another delivery company. read more

This company is one of the most disappointing companies I have ever experienced. They came to install our dishwasher and the guys said it wouldn't fit and then sprang the door on the new one. They returned it and I have to come home 3 more times to get it installed. They also sawed in the back of the dishwasher and it wasn't needed. They they left the part off when they remove the dishwasher and water went all over under my sink. I wouldn't let these guys install a light bulb. Took 10 days and light bulb I'm sure would have taken 5 days. I had 3 botched kitchen appliance deliveries from this company. We chose Samsung and when the install techs came out, they immediately stated they couldn't install the microwave or dishwasher....he didn't even measure and stated that it was impossible. This home was built in 2006 and the current microwave was smaller than the Samsung. So I refused all 4 appliances. The second attempt was with GE appliances. My wife took the install on a Saturday, I was not home. The fridge doors were uneven, dishwasher was bent and the oven had scratches all over it. The oven had a ding on it as well. I was unhappy. Third time was with dishwasher, again all kinds of defects and scratches. The tech started to uninstall my current dishwasher, I told him I wanted to check the new in the box before anything was removed. Let me remind you that I witnessed the dishwasher fall off the dolly on the way up my driveway. Also, I asked the tech could he use a leveler this time on the fridge door handles...and then he got it right! Wow! Why did I have to ask him to do his job right? I marched up to Home Depot and told them Barlows would never step foot in my home again, got my money back for the dishwasher and went to Christie's Appliances. They installed the new dishwasher without any issues and we are very happy. I am not sure if something is up with their warehouse handling and technician customer service, but I will never do business with them again. Home Depot should ditch them very quick. read more

They're the most incompetent service around! When I placed my order for a Bosch dishwasher with Home Depot, I was charged for a junction box. My new dishwasher was delivered 7/25. The junction box that I was charged for was neither mentioned nor left with the new D/W. One deliveryman/installer only looked under my kitchen sink and said the hot water valve he needed to turn was frozen, that I should get a plumber to change it. I did that. On 7/30, another deliveryman/installer checked under my old dishwasher and said it was hardwired, that a junction box was needed for the new D/W, but hadn't been written on his orders. I showed him that I had been charged for it so he called Barlow. The woman who answered said her notes indicated that I had refused the junction box. I was shocked. I never "refused" it since I a) didn't know what it is, and b) wouldn't know if it was necessary or not. I had read some of Barlow's website reviews, some of which indicated that the deliverymen either threw away or held back things that should have come with their deliveries. I believe it! Now I've spent 2 days waiting for installation that hasn't happened. Of all the time I've had HDS's subcontractors do work at my home, I was satisfied. I can't understand why HD continues to deal with Barlow's whose reviews on their website have been so overwhelmingly negative. As a consumer, I will think twice about buying large items from HD since I look to the store's service to have things installed. read more
