This place is pretty tasty! Small but mighty. Bi bim bop isn't the best I've had, but it's delicious nonetheless. Staff is friendly

Long line, but definitely worth it. Came in on a rainy day and close to closing time (closes at 3pm…read moreon Sundays and Mondays), so one can imagine that the pastries were already swept. They were a few left, so we got an orange blossom oat toffee cookie. It was perfectly balanced with floral notes, tanginess from the orange, and caramel-y sweetness from the toffee. We also appreciated the lattes: halawa honey and baklawa mocha. Never thought to add tahini to my coffee (halawa) and the rose and orange blossom notes were nice touches to the baklawa mocha. You may add sweetener yourself to get it to your preferred level of sweetness. I definitely would love to come back, particularly early, to be able to sit down, relax, and have a slow meal with a latte and a book. (That and to see more variety at the pastry window!!)

Came here with a friend to do some work in a different setting. Definitely super crowded and can…read moreget very loud indoors. There's a lot of seating indoors but can be a little hard if you're looking for a quieter atmosphere. They also have a couple of seats outdoors. The pastries were almost barren/nearly sold out, but definitely saw and have had previously the chicken shawarma pita sandwich which was delicious! This time I ordered the Halawa Honey which was a bit too sweet, but it was a nice twist of flavor and you could taste the tahini. My friend ordered the Baklawa Mocha which was a little too icy and I felt had too much milk. It drowned out the other flavors which was a bit disappointing.

So yes, I fell for the social media hype and made my way to Yellow... only to be greeted by a line…read morethat looked like it required a boarding pass. Hard pass. I genuinely think social media has us all in a chokehold--one place goes viral and suddenly perfectly good spots nearby are just... ignored. Thankfully, I have zero FOMO, so I pivoted and walked into this place instead. Best decision. It was busy--don't get me wrong--but in a normal, "weekend brunch rush" kind of way. Not the "wait an hour to prove a point to Instagram" kind of chaos. We grabbed a cold brew, a pain suisse, and a croque monsieur. Everything was reasonably priced, and more importantly, everything looked (and tasted) ridiculously good. The backyard? Genuinely stunning. The kind of aesthetic that people think they're getting in those viral spots. We grabbed a couple of chairs, soaked it all in, and ended up having a really beautiful, relaxed brunch. They've got water stations, the staff is happy to walk you through the menu if you need it--just an overall easy, pleasant experience. Honestly, unless your main goal is to tell people you went to the Georgetown hotspot of the week, skip the hype and come here. If your goal is actually good food and a great vibe, this place delivers.

Not nearly as good as it used to be. Pate was bland…read more Totally flavorless. Served with no mustard or cornichon. Even the opera cake also disappointing.. Sorry to see this busy, expensive Georgetown cafe going down hill.

So I popped in with a friend (right before closing) and I wish I wish I WISH we arrived sooner! The…read morestaff (especially the woman who took our order) were friendly and efficient despite the last minute rush. The vibes were everything and you could come with a few people or even solo and enjoy a book, some pho, decor that honors anything and everything chill, and one of their deliciously addictive egg coffees. Yes, you read that correctly, EGG coffee. Iced Egg Coffee, to be more specific. It's sweet, satisfying, refreshing, and you'll want it again and again. The amount of times I've tried to mimic this at home is downright embarrassing...which means that another trip is in order! I have my eye on the Toffee Milk, Saigonese Shake, and Artichoke Refresher. The menu honors traditional Vietnamese fare and fusion, so everyone can find something to enjoy :D Would I come back? Definitely, and I'm bringing everyone. Well, 3 others, because that's all I can fit in my car; but I'm telling everyone :D Enjoy!

It's become a favorite spot for my daughter and me, and we've even hosted several hangouts for her friends there. It's the perfect low-key environment for a small group. The interior has a great vibe; kids (and likely plenty of adults) love making the origami cranes that decorate the room. My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. They are excellent and come with a fantastic house-made dipping sauce that pulls it all together. While my daughter is the boba fan of the duo, I stick to the coffee and smoothies. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient. It's a local neighborhood staple that we'll keep coming back to. My only complaint is that they are not a coffee shop for early AM!
