The nurses in preop (thank you, Tanya) were gracious and thoughtful. The surgical nurse, Beth, was funny and kind, which helped put me at ease as he went back to surgery. Afterward, the nurses who supervised his recovery were gentle and helpful. Overnight, the RN Carrie and the aide, Claudia were attentive, thoughtful and patient. Our day nurse, Bryan was funny and very helpful (be sure to check out his shoes!) Overall, this was the best hospital experience I've had. It was clear that the staff (and doctors: hats off to Dr. Molitar, who came out following surgery to ease my concerns and let me know how the surgery went. He had been in surgery all day, although it was late, he took time to come out to update me personally,) anyway, it is abundantly Care that Marshall Hospital cares. From what I understand, they've come a long way.

Camisa still hasn't told the patient if he should be aware of any symptoms that would be urgent…read more My first review was deleted. Haha. I am the patients family member and I am involved in every medical decision, complaints, and follow ups. Attached is a message from Dr. Camisa that someone close to me received. I blacked out the name of the patient for their privacy. This is only the most recent instance. We have several documented occurrences that prove lack of care and pure ignorance from this entire office. I also blacked out the conditions this patient is already aware of just for another layer of privacy. Gallstones is new. Are they small? Large? While I realize this isn't typically serious, a little more information would have been helpful. The big one for us; "severe coronary artery calcification." This is for a patient with no known history of this condition. He has never been spoken to about anything like this, and for sure has never been treated for it. This was an incidental finding while they looked at other organs. *Update to this; in looking at his previous scans with Marshall, this was a finding in their results from last year and was resulted as "moderate" from the radiologist. Why was there absolutely no mention of calcification of arteries at any appt, by any Marshall provider since the CT in March? The CT was ordered by another Marshall provider and this patient was seen by Rea for the first time in the beginning of 7/25. Providers here don't familiarize themselves with new patients? Go over previous care, existing conditions, recent diagnostic testing? My doctor (not Marshall) would 1000% never send me a message like the one I am attaching from Camisa. No mention of what the next steps should be. No emergent symptoms that may arise that this patient should be aware of, no comment about making an appointment, sending a referral to cardiology. Absolutely nothing. She ended the message abruptly at the end of the day on Thursday, as if she didn't just give some pretty serious findings regarding HER patient's heart. Of course we followed up today (Friday 5/8), only to be met with generic responses from assistants and unanswered voicemail messages. I asked nicely in a message that the referral for cardiology be started today since I know it can take time. No response. Then I find out later Camisa is off today. Who even knows if that is true. I've been nice. Mostly. If the one rude and justified comment I said to Regina (MA) upset them, I suggest NP Rea, MA Regina, Dr. Camisa, and Laurel in the EDH office strap on their seatbelts because after this message and the display of the lack of care we've experienced for about a year, and now once again, it's game on and they're going to have a lot of hard questions heading their way that will need to be answered. This isn't a threat of violence or even a threat of any personal attacks against any of you. This is me giving you all a heads up that the proper people are going to be notified on Monday of how each and every one of you have violated ethical, legal and clinical codes. Not to mention just the basic human decency code. I will be contacting Martin Entwistle on Monday morning. I want to see if he has heard anything about what has been going on. If he hasn't, I'll be sure to fill him in. He, along with The Medical Board and California Department of Public Health will know everything that has occurred. They will be made aware of every lie, every date this patient was neglected proper care and medications, and the incompetence of every "health care provider" I've listed above. We have kept track of it all and I suggest you don't make things worse for yourselves by not being truthful. One more thing to make this very clear; we don't expect this patient to be given special treatment, or for this office to be at their beck and call. We've accepted that these ladies don't have bedside manner, and that's fine. We've expected and given them chance after chance to just provide this patient with the basic healthcare they need. The very basic. They've sadly failed on every level. Now we have learned a serious condition hasn't been addressed, and I felt compelled to let the community know that these names I've mentioned, stay away from them if you want proper medical care and to feel like your loved one is in good hands. I will say, the rest of the ladies we've spoken with at the EDH location have been polite and have tried to help us to the best of their abilities. Thank you to those ladies. Sincerely. This is a warning for potential or even current patients; Go elsewhere for proper medical care.

Marshall - The lovely response regarding test results. Still, no follow up from her regarding any symptoms the patient should be aware of.

First, when we walked into the office, we were not greeted. The greeting consisted of "Name," which was meant as a question and came across as a matter of fact statement. We were then escorted to a room to wait as we were informed that there is no waiting in the lobby. As we had our 1 year old with us, it was challenging to keep him entertained and out of trouble in the room, so we took him back out to the waiting room, and they were ok with this. We were early and the doctor was very prompt and on time, and saw us earlier than our scheduled appointment. When the doctor entered the room, he did not greet either my husband or myself. My husband had to offer his hand to shake and introduce himself. This seemed a bit odd since he was a new patient. The doctor was very matter of fact and assessed the situation quickly. There was one thing we had to request he check, which he did accomodate. His bedside manner causes the lower rating as it is not what we prefer in a physician. Specifically, I asked for clarification on something he described, and his response was surprising. He asked me if I knew what the word he used meant and then proceeded to say that the question was a question only a woman would ask. We think he was trying to be humourous, regardless, we did not care for the comment. Later in the visit, he made an attempt to get to know us and asked about our work situations. My husband advised he is a stay at home parent, and the doctor responded with "So, you make your wife do all the work?" This type of judgement and lack of understanding is certainly not new to us, however was shocking to have a physician say to us. Anyone who has ever been a stay at home parent knows exactly how much work it is to be home all day with a toddler.

I have dealt with this man since the 90's he has always been just like what Krista K says, the only reason I've stayed on is because he was the only show in town. He was rude to my mother treated her like she was a dummy and really was in a hurry when he cleaned her ears and really hurt this 82 year old woman then just barged out of the room never to return? Now to my last visit with him on 8-11-17. In 2011 he sent me to California sleep solutions for a sleep study after a full night with them in there sleep lab in Folsom they concluded i had moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea. I have been wearing my full face mask every night ever since. My health turned around and I felt better then I had for years. I turned 65 last December had to go on Medicare first thing they did was stop my C pap supplies until I have a new sleep study. Guess what? Cal sleep is the only gig in the state pretty much offices and sleep labs everywhere, but only one lab is Medicare approved and it's in down town sacramento right around 50th and broadway. They hooked me all up and said good night that was 11 pm. Every time I would start to fall asleep someone would run in and fiddle with the wires or the noisy air conditioner would start up and wake me. Finley about 1:30am I told them I could not sleep with that A/C unit in the room and them coming in and fiddling with the wires all the time and left. Two days later Rochat calls me to let me know I no longer have sleep apnea as they concluded from my sleep study. What? I asked him and told him I never got to sleep he told me they don't lie he has used them for 20 years and told my wife I don't have sleep apnea. He is a 100% A hole if you want to be treated like a complete idiot then go see him !!!
