I met Dr. Toe on July 9th, 2019. I was recovering from neck surgery at Mercy Hospital in Folsom, CA. Even though I was not yet his patient, he looked in on me twice a day, first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Since then, he has seen me through 2 back surgeries, 2 neck surgeries, diabetes, multiple bouts with aspiration pneumonia, and high blood pressure. He has given me excellent referrals to a urologist, neurologist, and dermatologist. His office has such an uplifting, happy atmosphere that I feel better just walking in the door. An appointment is a 125-mile round trip and worth every inch. He is my doctor for life. read more

Toe and his NP, Samantha are great but the front desk staff is virtually worthless. I have had more issues with them than I can count. Very little urgency, complete lack of follow through, long wait times. Very frustrating because both Samantha and Dr. Toe are great. Not sure if it's like this everywhere, but it's very frustrating, especially if you have a more urgent matter. read more

Hardest office to reach on phone (LAND line, cell, etc.). So unfortunate that me, - patient's wife - told husband to mention he was having trouble recalling words immediately while talking. S. Shepherd (Dr. Toe's RNPA?) immediately had a "Medical Assistant" to administer a pre-MOCA cognitive test. He did't pass. Immediately S. Shepherd signed a referral to Neuro Doc. Neuro Doc decided husband had "mild" dementia. Then, proclaimed him an alcoholic. Husband drinks 2 low alcohol content regular size cans of Bud beer. Then, before dinner, he has a cocktail containing cocktail-size glass full of ice. Then a sliver of tequila, the rest water. He then eats dinner & he's done w/"cocktail" hour. Then, after being referred to wrong Neuro address, we (patient, wife, daughter of patient) got to correct address of Neuro late. Patient was driving & navigated to correct address. Neuro spent approx. 30 minutes with patient. Scheduled follow-up appt. Second appt. w/Neuro lasted about 1 hr(?). Neuro assured me (wife) he would NOT REPORT DRIVER LICENSE BE SUSPENDED. Looked me eye-to-eye saying that. Guess what? DMV sent patient letter saying his DL has been suspended based on 'negative medical report. This is a very long story, but bottom-line - patient appeals thru DMV, DMV sends form for both patient fills out & then his PCP to simply check some boxes so that DMV CAN EVALUATE DRIVER. NOT THAT PCP "OVERRIDES" NEURO'S REPORT TO DMV. Heated convo happened between wife & S. Shepherd, RNPA (?). Later, same day, Dr.Toe's office called to schedule yearly physical. Weird considering wife & RNPA (?) just had a heated /frustrated convo. Wife left apology VM for S. Shepherd on following Sunday or Monday & asked her to call me to CALMLY discuss this damn DMV form. Today, recv'd another call (They're doing their due diligence!); to clarify my VM to Nutse Shepherd. I explained, controlling my voice & hearing what office had to say. They were wrong tho. Said last time they saw patient was 6/25. Not true. Last time they saw patient was when patient was referred to Neuro. I have copy of referral (including NEURO'S incorrect address. read more

I have been a patient for years at this office but will not be returning. I have had positive experiences with the practitioners, but the office staff is so rude and demeaning that I no longer feel comfortable returning and will be transferring my care elsewhere. Patients should be treated with kindness and compassion, and my interactions with office staff have left me in tears on multiple occasions, during times I was calling for assistance during difficult medical situations. Additionally, it is very difficult to get an appointment recently. I had an appointment booked for over 3 months. Got a call 2 days prior that the provider was no longer available that day and they needed to reschedule (which I completely understand) but was told they could not reschedule me for nearly 2 more months. read more

Very rude front desk staff. They either don't pickup the calls or disconnect the call. Beware of their billing practices.

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Toe for the last year. He's conscientious and professional.

He was always dismissive if anything I complained of, condescending and taking me what I was experiencing wasn't possible. When I told him I had fibromyalgia he told me that it doesn't exist and isn't a thing. That's when I left. I don't know what he believes in but it isn't medical care that's for sure. read more

RUN don't walk away from this Practice! I made an appointment to meet this Dr. as I am new in town and need a Primary Care Doctor! I waited 4-1/2 months for this appointment to come up! I also had scheduled another new Doctor appointment for another Doctor that won't take place until the following month! I told him straight off that I am here to meet him and had a few questions about his Practice! Then told him I had this other appointment with another new Doctor on my books! Then said after meeting with the other Doctor I'd pick which one would be the right fit for me! Well he did NOT like that at all and he began yelling at me! Kept telling me I can't have two Doctors etc. Told him I won't have two Doctors as I will pick after I meet this other one! He was so HIGH STRUNG and kept saying he doesn't work that way! He wouldn't let me speak! I brought in paperwork for him which he had in his hand and he was shaking it at me all the while raising his voice! I told him this obviously wasn't going to work and he thru the paperwork at me and I left! I was very upset as this took place within 2 minutes of my meeting him! What a waste of my time! Oh and while waiting I could hear him speaking to other Patients as well and I knew immediately he was High Strung as he was anxious when talking to them loudly as well! As I said 'RUN FROM THIS DOCTOR'! Wouldn't bother with him if he was the last Dr. On Earth!!!!! read more

I was among Dr. Toe's patients for more than four years. When I first met him , he didn't have many patients, he also had good nursing staff. Despite of the fact, I didn't get enough medical help from the clinic, I kept seeing him for referrals and prescriptions. I also wrote on several occasions to praise the nursing staff as well as Dr. Toe being courteous towards the patients. Until recently I met difficulties with my care and pointed out I disagreed with one of his statements, he kicked me out without any warnings. I understand he has his right to do so. But is this the right thing to do? Nowadays it is so difficult for patients to navigate American healthcare system, especially the really sick ones. Usually I simply put up with whatever I can get. Nevertheless I finally have become aware if you can not rely on your PCP during your medically difficult times, and even more, being lied to, why do I need a PCP to confuse myself and others!? read more

Great place to come for care! Doctor Tet Toe is friendly and helps in the best way possible figuring out what is best fit for your needs. He answers all questions/concerns you may have and gives solutions that would benefit the patient's health & pocket ($$) more than the company. Also, his MA, Genevieve is awesome! she helps make you feel welcomed and does her job very well. she cares about your well-being and does everything she can to help the patient and the doctor with all of their needs. I usually hate taking shots, but if Genevieve is the one giving it, I'll take the shot with no problems , she does it quick and painless. overall, it's been a wonderful experience being in their care. Dr Toe is amazing! I haven't had a primary care Dr since I was a child. But I literally started to feel like I was falling apart. Dr Toe takes the time to thoroughly listen to EVERYTHING wrong with his patients. He will order and research everything to try and get you well. He's isnt your typical Dr that just wants to throw meds at you. He wants to find the root of the problem and will work hand in hand with whatever additional specialist are needed. read more

It's been 2 years since I've been meaning to switch primary doctors and then I met Dr Toe at work...I gave his office a call and they willingly accommodated me with their soonest available appointment the same day I called...Perfect! I would never get that from my previous MD...They were always booked far in advance or wait for a last minute cancellation...Today I had to see a doctor ASAP, it was either I'm seen sooner or the ER(which I would totally hate to do...). The front desk staff, Cori and Siram, are very friendly and efficient ...they were very helpful with assisting me to do the transition and MD switch. And of course Dr Toe is one of the best newer doctors in town...He was genuinely concerned about my medical issues and got the ball rolling right away.
