Finally, after hours of n/v, finally ended up at Marshall Hospital ER. The check end was smooth and professional and I was promptly taken to an exam room. Since I have worked at Myrtle Beach Regional Medical Center as a Pharmacist, I am very familiar with protocols and procedures. I was immediately seen by a nurse ( I forgot her name .. but she actually had been to Ocean Isle Beach, NC for vacation) and received great care with compassion. My MD was prompt and his choice of drug and protocols and diagnosis was quick with professional attentiveness. Shane Torgerson, MD was quite out-standing with his bedside manner and his attention to detail. AAA++ ER Physicians see numerous cases through out their shifts, and they become great diagnosticians because of their experience. I had excellent care and if this is any indication of Marshall Hospital's dedication to the community, then I can definitely say my care was impressive. Being a non/profit hospital has its challenges but I feel that the people of Eldorado and the city of Placerville have a gem ( gold nugget) in their community.
