On my last two visits, I added the peach-infused cold foam, and it takes the drink to another level. The flavors pair perfectly, and it's quickly become one of my favorite coffee drinks. The café itself is a great place to relax or get some work done. It's bright without feeling harsh, and there's plenty of seating, including both comfortable lounge-style chairs and standard tables and chairs. I've never had trouble finding a spot. The staff has been friendly on every visit, and my drinks have always come out quickly. I haven't had the chance to try the food yet, but based on my experience so far, I definitely plan to. If the drinks are any indication, I'm looking forward to seeing how the food measures up!

You're given a number once you order, grab a seat at an open table/couch/side bar and it will be brought out to you once ready. There's a water, napkin, utensil, etc area readily available. The Arabian Sands has a light presence of cardamom and a hint of brown sugar sweetness. I would order this again, however, I'm looking forward to trying the Orange Apeel next. For a quick snack, I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese croissant. Nice portion size. Came out warm. Left nothing to be desired from a classic combination. Be sure to place your dishes in the "dirty dishes" bin before leaving. The shop was clean and they had several patrons who appeared to be regulars. Wi-Fi worked great (no lag). Perfect space for a meeting, get together, study place, reading a book, etc. They even have a Popbar connected that serves a variety of popsicles/frozen treats. Fun frozen desserts and gelato on a stick. You can order these treats in a variety of ways plus add toppings. I'll be sure to try when I want something sweet. Highly recommend stopping by Baba Java/Popbar if in the area or near another location.

It really helps set the tone for the space. Overall, Maple Avenue Coffee House is the combination of great people, great vibes, and great coffee. It's quiet and has a variety of seating that ranges from a comfy couch to a few tables and chairs off to one side. It has private parking and a huge ramp plus a relatively open floorplan so it's accessible to everyone. The atmosphere is quiet and would be ideal for working, and the beverages that I've had so far were definitely up to par. Good espresso, alternative milks available, all the standard stuff. Not too much hustle and bustle, and plenty of quality caffeine. The employees that I've encountered have been friendly and prompt so the service is great. Additionally, the business serves as a nonprofit with the goal of addressing issues surrounding homelessness so that's a big plus. I'm happy to see how well Red bike has done since taking over. I didn't have any coffee on this particular visit but I had some amazing crawfish! They had a collaboration event with a nearby shop. The staff made me feel welcomed and were very helpful. The coffee shop is cozy and had local artwork displayed. I look forward to coming back to grab a coffee and stay a little longer. Please note. And I'd love to qualify this five-star review by saying I've been traveling the United States for over 10 years and I've been to countless coffee shops from Alaska to Boston to Florida to San Diego and everything in between. I can easily say this has been a top 10 experience and if you're in Birmingham you are very fortunate that this place is here. I had a hot vanilla latte and one of the finest pastries of all time but I'm not reviewing the pastries. Both days I went in here there were two different baristas some quiet dude and then some alternative tattoo girl both of them made an absolutely exceptional hot latte. Everything I look for is here: The espresso itself is a medium-dark profile with dark chocolate, toasted almond, and brown-sugar sweetness, low bitterness, and a rounded, low-acid finish that holds its shape in milk instead of washing out. The vanilla stays clean and floral on top of that, while the milk is steamed to glossy microfoam that integrates with the shot, leaving a silky body and a long caramel-cocoa aftertaste. Perfection. Some of the best in the USA. Hats off to you.

I ordered an iced americano given it was a hot day around noon. I got my drink and went to add creamer and sweetener like I always do. And bam that's when I noticed this place was one of those we are going to force you to have what we believe is healthier for you. What do I mean. No Splenda no equal just that nasty truvia. I'm diabetic so I don't use sugar and truvia is just nasty. It tastes horrible and makes your drink taste horrible. Now mind you they will use all kinds of syrups with dyes and additives and sugars but nope not Splenda. That's bad for you. The 50 grams of sugar in a single vanilla latte is totally fine. We're ok with that even though that alone is over the recommended amount. But Splenda no we can't allow that. Will never be back.
