My pup has been coming here for the past couple of years. I am really impressed with their customer service as well as the handling of the dogs. They do an awesome job with my reactive and antisocial dog. Love this place. Highly recommend & and don't forget to leave them a nice tip for their hard work. read more

We had our first visit with a groomer today and I am so glad we chose Bark 'N' Bean! Chris was wonderful! My labradoodle puppy looks like a whole new dog! Scheduling was easy, although it did take a couple weeks to get in for a full groom (but that's a good sign IMO...) and all the staff members were friendly. I waited for my dog there and the guy working out front knew most of the dogs that were coming in. I got to see him cut a few dogs nails while waiting and he really has a good way with animals. Chris came out and asked exactly what I wanted-and she did just that. She came out and let me know that Maddie was doing ok and also let me know when she was almost done. She was super nice and did a fabulous job. read more

What an awesome place! This is dog lovers heaven. They feature a number of choices from full service grooming including nails and teeth cleaning to "do it yourself" wash stations. As the proud parents of a brand new baby girl who was rescued from a shelter we were delighted with the friendliness of the staff and the overall convenience of the service. Not to mention that our girl smelled bad. The team went right to work making her (and us) feel comfortable. The double shot of Espresso from the coffee bar didn't hurt either. They also feature a number of items for sale... everything from books to toys. If you have a dog this is a wonderful place to spend an hour on a Sunday morning. read more

The staff is kind and attentive to your pet. We love our groomer - Amber. She does a fantastic job with Moose. His cuts are always very good - clean cut. Pricing is very reasonable. Prompt service - no waits...no delays and no last minute cancel read more

We'd been waiting two months for a grooming appointment, as those lately have been hard to book in our area. As time was approaching, we called and were told that the groomer scheduled to do the work was no longer with their organization and so we no longer had an appointment. Poof. That was it. No communication to us at all. No attempt to fix things, such as by putting us into another time slot with a different groomer. They said they tried to contact us, but that was an outright fib. They have our email and phone numbers, and no attempt was made. So if you decide to use them, keep them on a short leash. They don't seem to care about you as a customer. read more

My new 10-year-old rescue (who has never been groomed before) had an amazing experience here! She gets frightened by strangers and they were extremely kind and understanding with her. She smelled amazing when I came to pick her up and seemed really happy. They even give you a homemade treat bag when you leave! read more

Love these guys! Always do an incredible grooming job and they really care about animals.

Only reason this place isn't getting a 5 star rating is that I only had my dog washed versus full grooming treatment so I don't know if it excels in that area. However, for just a basic bath and towel dry they sure did a good job. You can't beat the cafe/coffee bar attached so that you can sit in a relaxing store while waiting for your dog to be bathed. You can also do self wash if you want to save a little money. The prices are great. The service is friendly. And they also sell dog toys and treats at very reasonable prices. Also, this is a great location if you are a fan of dog beach at Quiet Waters Park (I wasn't). read more

I love Bark N Bean. Tendai has been grooming my doodles since they were puppies and they love her. Nothing like dropping your pups off and not having to worry about what they will look like when you pick them up. Tendai gives a consistent cut and they always look great and smell good read more

our dog isn't the easiest to deal with but Gladys handles and loves her so much! love barn n bean!! thank you!

I don't think they are business anymore. I've called several times & no one picks up. Also the voice on the message sounds like an owner with a drinking problem screwing his business with incompetence. read more

I had an amazing experience with Bark 'N' Bean, after going to petco and having a bad experience I was a little concerned of the next grooming experience for my Labradoodle, but when I got there she was looking happy and looking really pretty, I'm glad I took her! Thank you Sam! read more

I've been going to Bark 'N' Bean for many years and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is always friendly and obviously care about the dogs in their care. I always feel confident that my dog will receive a lot of attention and have a great experience. They do an excellent job, my dog looks and smells great every time he leaves there. I plan on being a patron for many more years. read more

I'm new to the area and needed a place to take my 15.5 yr old shih tzu for a bath. They were great with her!! She is a little fragile and after she was washed they curled her up in a warm blanket and gave her extra love while she waited on me to come back. I am very particular about the care she gets at her age and I thought they were great! I will definitely be back to have her groomed in the next few weeks and will update at that time. read more

Adrian & the team are unfailingly friendly & professional with my sometimes challenging Noodle.

I've been taking my family dog and personal dog here for years. Yesterday they cancelled an appointment for my family dog that a family member had booked with no reasoning, and have since blocked their number. We have never had any issues, so I called to request an explanation over 24 hours ago and have yet to hear back. It seems very unprofessional and rude to do this after being a loyal customer and tipping generously for years. A simple call back would be the bare minimum. read more

After holding out on coming to this place, due to the mixed reviews.. I took my dog here this afternoon for just a quick wash and towel dry. Mike is the one who did the bath and he did a fine job. I didn't want nails or a cut done, which seems to be where more of the negative reviews came from anyway. This place met what I was looking for, and I will be coming back again. I feel satisfied with the service that I received. read more

So impressed with the care and kindness they all showed our skittish dog. He came out happy and handsome. We will definitely bring our dog back for all of his grooming! read more

We have been bringing our little guys here for years. They do a great job and are very caring. We have a Yorkshire terrier and the groomers here do a wonderful job. Cam is our guy for grooming now. I love how they treat my dogs like family. Tendai (Might of wrote her name wrong) is awesome. Please ask for her:)

My fiance and I are big fans of Muddy Paw Wash. We take our two greyhounds there every time the start to get dirty. We love the fact that they have the "self service" dog wash on the menu - basically they provide everything you need to give your pup a full spa treatment. Once you get your dog into the spacious tub and don your rubber apron, you enjoy a selection of shampoos, conditioner, coat conditioners, ear wipes, eye wipes, nail clippers, nail dremmels, and even eau de toilette that are all available to you at a flat rate based on how big your dog is. We can get both of the dogs washed, dried (they have a hand dryer available) and primped, for 35 bucks. Not bad! And, you don't have wet dogs running through the house or a hairy bath tub to clean out (well, you might - but it won't be from your dog!) The people there are always super friendly and helpful, and you get a free drink of choice from the attached coffee shop after every fourth wash. We love the mocha frappe. They must do well because the place is always full of dog lovers enjoying their coffees or perusing the nice assortment of leashes/collars, beds, toys and treats, while waiting for their dogs to be groomed by the very capable staff, or awaiting their turn at a tub. You might have to wait a little while for your turn, but note that you can call up to 30 minutes ahead of time to put your name on the list. Not a bad idea for busy weekends. read more

My Alice has been groomed a few times now. She always looks great. I find the people there friendly and helpful.

Love the online reservations and first time coupons! I have a Maltese and he is a grooming nightmare. So I need a good groomer that can handle him. The online reservation was key. Because only at add hours do I have time to sit down with my calenders to figure when is a good time for me to book the grooming appointment. I have taken my dog to Leah's Dog Salon which is right around the corner, and I love her! But it is hard for me to schedule with her during normal working hours. This place makes it easy for me to schedule when it is convenient to me. They are also cheaper than Leah's and they do just as good as a job. I was disappointed that the coffee house was closed! I guess you have to get there early in the morning to get coffee with them. I had a later appointment. read more

I LOVE Bark N Bean! When I moved to Baltimore I needed to find a groomer for my rescue pup who has a lot of social anxiety. The poor thing was abused by his previous owner and has many triggers that cause him to get upset. I explained all of this at his first appointment and was amazed when they scooped him up and took him back without a problem. I was invited to enjoy a cup of coffee while I waited (hence the "Bean" part of the name) but was running a few errands around Annapolis since I don't visit often. When I came back to pick him up he was happy as a clam and looked great with his new puppy cut! According to the groomers he was well behaved and calm the entire time. I honestly think they were calm, patient, gentle and loving with him and he could sense that there was nothing to be scared about. I take him back every couple of months for his new cut and have never had an issue with their service. read more

Update: I went today for my dog's grooming. My groomer did an excellent job as always but other people who works there never say hello or greet me when I enter the shop. Not very friendly. I wouldn't go here if my groomer weren't here. read more

My second visit (with Melissa) to this establishment wasn't nearly as positive as the first. I requested that my dogs be trimmed - face, tail, sanitary areas, nails and for my boy dog to have a mohawk. Not only do they only appear to have been bathed (maybe) and had their nails cut, he doesn't have a mohawk, he has been limping since we got home yesterday afternoon, and their faces look exactly the same. We left for a road trip immediately after I picked them up so I was unable to go back to the shop and complain but it seems that the first visit is the only good one. I am beyond disappointed especially since I could've done their nails and baths and saved myself $80! And as an addition of insult to injury my boy dog is avoiding use of his front right paw/leg which was most certainly not an issue before we arrived. I will not returning to bark n bean. read more

I am a new dog owner and have never personally washed a dog before, so I was quite nervous about my first dog washing experience. The staff was very helpful with explaining everything and $18 to wash my dog with towels, shampoo, conditioner, dryer, apron, etc. included was a great deal. I'll definitely be back so I can become a pro and save some money rather than taking him to Pet Smart all the time :) My only gripes were their merchandise wasn't too great... I would have loved to buy my dog a treat or new collar/leash set, but I guess it was better to save money! read more

I just got home from my first visit to Bark and Bean. I want to post a picture of Remy, but not sure how to do it here. She's so cute with her little bows! Sara did it, thank you Sara! Remy and I will be back! She had one little tangle behind her ear. I can easily cut it out. read more

Words cannot express the disappointment in the groomer and management. Continuity of service is a far-fetched term for a "well running" business. Our senior dog of almost 15 years has had a benign cyst on the exterior of her body on her chest for years and hasn't been a problem at a groomers since it is visibly noticeable. Tandai was the groomer and said that she noticed when she shampooed our old lady dog. You look at this picture and tell me you notice this when showering unless you belligerently ran razor over or intentionally cut it off. Management didn't even know this occurred and a pathetic "sorry" was all they could manage. Days after, our old lady dog is still in pain, we're sanitizing and bandaging the wounds, and not even a peep from the business to ask and follow up with the mistake they made. You cannot make this mistake unless intentional. Incredibly so upset and not sure where the down hill of service went down. What a bittersweet moment to have to look for another groomer but not have to deal with the lack of care for our loved ones. Bark 'N Beans, you held high expectations but I guess that's not all across the board for all animals and families. Not sure how you think this is ok and shrug it off so nonchalantly. She is a senior dog who cannot see well, hear anymore and you blatantly just hurt her. Her immune system lacks and this will take so much more time to heal; and I hope that nothing serious comes out of this for the intent of your business. We plan to take her to the vet and see the incision site and after the doctors note see what actions we should further take with this business. How will you rectify this wrongdoing? Disappointment is an understatement at this point. read more

Bark 'N' Bean - Benign cyst was cut off probably intentional. Tandai said she didn't notice this until she was shampooing our old senior dog. Lies. - Pet Groomers Near Me - Annapolis, Maryland

If I could give zero stars I would. We explicitly said we only wanted out Havanese trimmed and when we got him back he was completely shaved. We made it very clear this is not what we wanted. Havanese need their fur in the summer to protect them the sun because their skin is extremely sensitive and now we have to make sure he doesn't stay in the sun too long for the rest of the summer. They tried to claim his fur was matted which we did not agree with. But, if they thought he was too matted they should have called us before shaving him given that we explicitly said we didn't want him shaved. I don't normally leave bad reviews but just wanted to put up a warning for anyone else who may have similar concerns with their dogs! read more

My dog means the world to me and she has sensitive skin, so I usually take on brushing and bathing her. Recently, that was not occurring as much as it should, so I brought her to the Bark N Bean. Clover was treated like royalty and by the end of her little spa appointment, she had made new friends. The grooming area is glassed in, so you can watch everything as it happens. Each groomer makes sure to bond with the dog they are taking care of, and that's not something you can take for granted. The staff is very interactive with dogs and their humans - and the coffee bar is an added plus. There's also a store with eco-friendly toys, bags, and shirts. They also take pictures of dogs getting groomed and post them on their Facebook page. Clover got a whole collage, she was very proud. read more

This place is pretty awesome. They are near Quiet Waters Park, so I can take my dog after he played in the mud or was excessively drooled on. I always elect for the do-it-yourself wash, which allows me to lather up my happy, little mutt. They have tearless and hypoallergenic shampoos as well as everything you'll need to get your dog clean. It only costs $15 for my dog who weighs in at 40lbs. (they charge by weight). If your dog isn't a fan of getting a bath, they have free treats to entice him/her to the wash bay. I can't speak about the other items they have for sale because I go for the discount stuff at other places. read more

This place is great! The staff is always a joy to work with - they are gentle and do a thorough job. You can tell they are true dog-lovers. They will do a full service wash (wash and blow dry, brush out, eyes and ears cleaned) or a quick serve (everything but blow-dry) or you can do it yourself using all of their supplies. Also, the coffee drinks are ****awesome****. My favorite is the mocha-white chocolate frappe, but the hot chocolate and chocolate chai are good too. read more

I am ultra picky. I rescued my baby Cheeto from a shelter. We go to BnB often. They are perfect. They do everything you ask for, no shortcuts. If you dont like something that was done they fix it on the spot. They are extremely professional. And they handle him very well. read more

After a trip to Quiet Water's dog park, Bark N Bean is THE place to go. We used to do the self service wash after a day at the park, and look forward to doing so again post Coronavirus. Just brought my rescue pup, Lucy, in for an ear cleaning after I noticed her rubbing her hears constantly. Turns out, she didn't need one and the behavior is characteristic to her breed. The groomer took her time to explain this to us (she also made sure to let us know to check with the vet just in case) and even trimmed the hair inside of Lucy's ears free of charge to see if it would help with her itching. I had such a pleasant experience and was touched by that gesture. Lucy and I will be back, for sure! read more
