I love this place and the owner is very knowledgeable about pet health. I took my dog to the vet in the morning for some skin issues, and was told just to change the food. I had a grooming appointment that same day and they told me he had a major ear infection and nailed the type of skin condition he had! Obviously I have since changed vets but not my groomer. My ONLY complaint is that they are located somewhat far from me, but there's a new shopping complex across the street and typical grooming takes 1.5 hours or less even for my crazy hairy puppy. read more

I am so grateful to Bark Life! My dogs had not been thriving because the food (sold at other stores) we had used for years had changed their formula without informing the public. I came into Bark Life and explained what I was experiencing. They recommended a new food and within 2 weeks, all 3 of my dogs were looking healthy and my oldest dog had a spring in her step that I thought was gone for good. Bark Life's customer service is wonderful. They greet me immediately upon entering the store. They always offer to help me with the large bags of food I buy. The associates are knowledgeable and friendly. They have helped me with products for my dogs thunderstorm (and fireworks) anxiety. Bark life is awesome - the employees are always attentive and genuinely caring - they have 24/7 webcams so you can spy on your pet anytime - my jasper goes there 2-3 a week for daycare - you cAnt believe how excited he is to go everyone ! I have had Tammy for many years prior to opening this salon. I used it once. I thought Tammy was going to be the groomer when I brought my Llasa in for haircut. When I got home with him Everything looked fine, but in the process of removing the scarf the knot was on so tight I had to cut it off, and under that was a large cut about this long____________________ along his neck, which nobody even told me about. I call the local animal hospital for advice. It was so deep! Then I tried to contact Tammi but she was not answering her cell phone she was out eating. We had I thought was a good working relationship, her husband finally called me back, and I told him and sent photos of the large cut on his neck. He asked me what did I want to do. I said fire the girl who groomed him. informed I had contacted the local animal 24 hour. hospital. If it start to bleed again he is going for sutures and they were paying the bill. I called my bank cancelled the check. Told the bank what had happen and they said it would be something they were going to look into about there business. So Of courses I got a total refund from the bank. What upset me the most Tammi never said she was sorry or offer any help. they were mad I stopped the check, you after 15 yrs of multiple dog grooming business you could not take my call. Love this store!!! When I got my first Portuguese Water Dog puppy, I took her to Bark Life. The staff was extremely helpful in educating me on what food to feed her and they only sell the best there. They gave me a can of pumpkin and told me to mix it in with her food to help with the diarrhea that all puppies have the first few days in their new homes. Both of my dogs still get canned pumpkin every day. They love it! The groomers on staff are wonderful too. Both of my PWDs love getting their special spa days at Bark Life. I can't even say "Bark Life" in front of my dogs or they go nuts. One of their favorite places to go! read more

Went to Barklife for years with my rescue pets, both for pet supplies and grooming. Spent a ton of money there. My last visit to the groomer I was treated very rudely, lied to, my concerns dismissed and the managers only response was a blank stare. It doesn't matter whether you're a long time loyal customer or not, they do not care about keeping your business. They should treat their long time and loyal customers with a tad more respect. They lost all my business and recommendations when their ambivalence revealed their true natures. There are many options out there. I'll choose anywhere over the treatment I received on my last visit. I'm happy everyone is happy with this business.. you must have never disagreed with anyone there or pointed out really bad customer service. It's the only way to be ok with the owners. read more

Owner and staff are extremely friendly, and will spend the time to educate you on their products if you are not sure what you need for your pet. We were in a situation with horrible allergies with our little chorkie Chloe, and after the help of coming here and switching up her food she is doing so much better! Bought my cocker spaniel in for grooming. He left with a razor burn on his head. He scratched it and it became a full out wound. $182 at the vet and a cone later he is hopefully on the road to recovery. I will never go back nor recommend this butcher shop to anyone. What an awesome place! Not only did the owner take so much time explaining things to me, he told me to put the dog right on the counter! They were so patient and knowledgeable and I was so happy that they cared about me and my Snoopy to share it with us! I was focused on a problem but cannot wait to go back and check out the rest of the awesome store! While I was there a lady brought her daughter in who had made a little ceramic dog for the store! I will NEVER bring my dog to bark life again and strongly recommend you don't either. My dog is terrified to go in there and I guess he had it right. I dropped my dog off for a 9AM groom. Usually takes an hour-- he's been groomed there a few times. At 10:17 I get a call, which I assume is to let me know he's done, but some very rude employee tells me his groomer never showed and doesn't work there anymore. Ok? I ask if someone else can groom him and she says no and suggests a weekday coming up which I can't do because I have a job. Mind you they are always packed and it's tough as hell to get a weekend appointment. She tells me there's nothing else they can do. When I arrive to pick him up, I ask why they kept my dog for so long if he couldn't get groomed. Seriously they waited over an hour? The person at the counter raises a finger as if to tell me to wait and then STRAIGHT UP IGNORED ME. They said absolutely nothing else to me when they brought my dog out a minute later. Not even an apology. Save your money and go somewhere with employees who have customer service skills. Don't go here. read more

Brought my dog in for a hair cut...$65 way over priced for what we got! There are nicer and more experience groomers near by for half the price...do yourself a favor, and just look for them! The groomer at Bark Life accidently cut the rear hanging toe on my dog's leg. Bled for three days! When it happened , the owners and manager standing there, pretended not to see or hear anything. Horrible place, would never recommend Bark Life to any one! Save money, nicer and more experience, less expensive groomers near by...just take a minute to look for them!!! read more

My family and I have been buying our dog food and treats here for years. Went in to purchase my dogs food (blue buffalo), I asked the lady working who was ringing people out while replying to text messages at the same time so line was moving slow. When I asked where is the blue buffalo because it was no longer in the same spot she looked at me and said we don't carry it anymore because the big box stores now carry it. Well wake up call it's been sold in big chain stores for many many years. She also gave me this attitude as if I was feeding my dog terrible food but also did not recommend anything else either. BARK LIFE is the BOMB!!!!!! We had just moved down here permanently & live in Seminole. My son took my dog for a quick walk down the street & ended up getting completely COVERED in these seed pods. I tried to start getting them out but they wouldn't budge. The took him to the Oakhurst groomers right around the corner from us, they were too busy & no one could help us at all. We could come back the following week. I needed these off NOW!! They were in his beard & just everywhere, thousands! They suggested Bark Life. I've drove there right away, walked in with NO APPT. They took my 4 PD YORKIE immediately and was finished in no more than 10-15 min!!! UNBELIEVABLE!!!! I then left him for a fulll grooming and it was just AMAZING how quickly they handled my problem, politely, professionally & the best grooming we've ever had!! This is a HORRIBLE place to work and to shop at. The owners are great at finessing people and putting on a show to lure in more customers. They are greedy and selfish and act as though they are entitled to their views and do not allow room for anyone else to try and convince them otherwise. The entirety of the situation is they DO NOT care about their workers that put their hardest into their work and favoritism runs it's virtue at this establishment. Workers that twiddle their thumbs and are adamantly on their cell phones, and even the workers that scream constantly at the dogs the entirety of their shift are praised over the laborious workers who are constantly trying their best and working extra hours to replace others. The manager in day care is always flirting with his co-workers and doesn't give credit where it's due. TAMMY IS THE WORST on confronting an employee when they have done wrong and just decides to fire them instead of giving warning. I have witnessed myself her temperament with the employees and it is very unprofessional and childish. She can't fight her own battles and neither can her husband so she gets others to do it for her. If you can STAY AWAY from this business. They just create chaos for job seekers who have families to provide for. DO NOT APPLY HERE AND DON'T SUPPORT THEIR ESTABLISHMENT! read more

I really like being able to drop her off for grooming and return in one hour to pick her up.. rather than having to drop her off and wait 3 or 4 hours as with all other groomers I have used in the past. Last year the service at St Petes was exceptional . We had both our dogs groomed and were very pleased. Our dogs were so happy when we picked them up and they looked great. They carry our brand of dog food . We told so many people about this great place. This year we had our dogs groomed and were very unhappy and so were our dogs. They were shaved right down to the skin and we were told that it was because they were so matted. We have never heard this in 10 years. Our dogs are professionally groomed every 6 weeks. Our senior dog came home all cut up and it took 3 weeks for the bleeding to stop. They had a dog food program that after you bought 10 bags of food at $112.00 for a large bag you get your next bag for free. Now they have a new program that we have to start all over again with, so our 8 previous bags no longer count. What a shame for such a wonderful pet store to go down hill so quickly. I adopted a little toy poodle from VIP Rescue about 6 weeks ago. She was ready to get groomed and took her to one of the big pet store places. They were horrible, couldn't do anything with her and told me I needed to medicate her and take her somewhere else. OMG! I found Bark Life through VIP Rescue and my little girl had her first grooming with Shawna at Bark Life today. Amazing! They not only were gentle and loving with her, they did an excellent job grooming her. Great job with our senior Shih Tzu baby Shelbi. Not only was salon service quick, but the groomer (name?) was so sweet. She cut her as we requested and seemed to be very patient with our "talking" baby (she does all of this complaining and it takes a patient person LOL). Love the owners and it's very friendly place overall. Nice store with unique items, including gifts, and nice waiting area. Walk over to the bagel place and grab some coffee and then walk back and sit outside people-watching while you wait! Love the cage-free environment and love that our baby did not get over-heated. I can't comment about cost because when it comes to my furbabies I look for quality and compassion above all!
