This Shanise G. about ESA Mini. PET OWNERS BEWARE!!! IF YOU'RE LOOKING FOR A SAFE PLACE THIS IS NOT IT!! STAY AWAY IF YOU CARE ABOUT THE WAY YOUR DOG WILL BE TREATED!! This was our dogs first experience at a place like this and it will certainly be the last. I truly wished I would have listened to all of the bad reviews this place has because we found out it is for a reason. Unfortunately It's our emotional support animal that had to find out in the worse way. We got our dog boarded here from Aug 17 - 23rd while we were away on a cruise. We had the internet package so we would be able to look in our dog because we knew she has anxiety being left behind and previous trauma. She is a rescue. We gave them a list of instructions about everything. Brought her own dog bowl which is a raised slow feeder, harness and leash to take her out because she doesnt do well with ones around her neck, two beds, portioned out food and a thunder jacket because she is afraid of thunder. Again with full instructions. We explained to them that she would not let people take her out on a leash and would sit and put all her weight down and we were reassured that she would not be forced to come out of the enclosure unless she wanted to. For the added on play time we were told if she wouldn't come out they just wouldn't try and would take it off for that day. We got her placed in a presidential room with high walls and a doggy door so she would not have to have interaction with the people too much when it came to her going to the bathroom she could just take herself out. WELL on Aug 16th we dropped her off around 12PM the door was opened she went out of it no problem we thought she wouldn't know how but she understood what to do right away and needed no help. She came back in and then we looked at the camera again about an hour later the door was shut. We were told she would have full freedom to go in and out of the run from 8am to around 5pm. This was not the case at all. The run was not opened again at all that day. Aug 17th in the morning around 7am my wife was watching the cameras and she watched as a person forcefully dragged our dog out by a small lead wrapped around her neck. we have it on video. We were told they would not do anything like this and that was a complete lie. I didn't see the video until I was back but my wife the entire trip made sure to watch the cameras because that incident was so traumatizing to her and the dog. Now I see why. By the look of our dogs neck which is swollen, scabbed, red and missing hair we know she was forcefully pulled out like this on multiple occasions. WE brought the harness for a reason and with explicit instructions and again was given false reassurance. From that point on my wife looked at the camera at least 2 - 3 times an hour and almost every single time we saw the run closed. There was no free range for our ESA dog like we were told. She was literally locked in there day and night and only once or twice did we ever see it opened for her to go to the bathroom and it was usually around 11 and then never again. We thought ok maybe its because its so hot outside and they would open it. NOPE not the case we watched day after day and the run was not opened as they told us it would be. We have photos of our dog looking at the door in desperate need to get taken out. we tried to text but our package did not work for that. August 22nd we were watching the cameras again and this time our dog was looking at the door pacing back and forth her tail was up and we know this to mean that she severely have got to use the bathroom. Then we saw her start barking to try to get someone's attention so on a whim I emailed the email I got for confirmation and that went through. I wish I would have know that the whole time. We were told by Rachel not Kim a manager we found out during pickup was the person forcefully dragged our dog out by the neck, it would get opened soon then our camera shut down for awhile. ODD!! We went to him to watch videos because he wouldn't give us a copy of the full stay even though Rachel said she would email it to us. There was not only one incident but several and to top it all off on one of the days there was a time jump meaning something was missing but we have no idea what. We have filed several complaints and hope to get justice for our ESA mini. Since being home she has been so jumpy and very skiddish. All the progress we made with her has been lost. We want to prevent this from happening to someone else's animal that's why we are posting reviews and taking the necessary steps. read more

Wish I could give a zero. I visited and made reservations over Labor Day weekend. More than a month in advance. I was told since I was a new customer I had to give a 50 dollar deposit. No papers were signed and no receipt given. Nothing was said that it was non refundable. My experiences with other facilities was 48 hour notice. They will not give me my deposit back. There is no transparency in their fees . Nothing written provided regarding rates. Be very careful as not transparent in their business dealings. I notified them more than 30 days. I dont think it is fair. Would have been if I had been told or in writing read more

I've been taking our now nine month old puppy here for daycare for about 6 weeks now. I was very hesitant at first (with daycares in general) but he LOVES coming. I take him about 2-3 times a week for half days and haven't had any issues. The staff are so friendly and caring and they were calling him by name when we walked in by the second week. :) Love the cameras so I can check in on him throughout the day and see how much fun he's having. He knows the word "daycare" now so he gets really excited when I ask him if he wants to go lol. Haven't tried the pool out yet, but he loves the water and I'm glad that's an option. They have an online portal for you to access your invoices and update pet info, etc. Dropping off and picking up is so easy and fast. Daycare has been a lifesaver for me because he's just got so much energy and wants to play all day and I can't get any work done. Highly recommend if you are looking for a place for your pup to have supervised play during the day. read more

I have a 4 year old shih tzu that I've never boarded, so just recently when planning a short vacation I knew I had to find the right place for my boy. I solicited recommendations from my friends and visited each of the 4 places I was considering. Paws Inn was BY FAR the best facility based on first impressions. They have a variety of types of rooms (yes rooms - not cages like most places) including a concrete block room, with a window, wall mounted tv, & "nanny cam" - great for first timers that may get nervous with barking, etc. Their prices are right in line with everyone else in the area. They were the ONLY facility that gave me the option to pay an extra $10 for an evening walk. My dog is small, with a small bladder, & isn't accustomed to holding it from 7pm - 7am, so I gladly paid for the extra outing. From what I can tell, they took him out around 9:30pm. I love that they have webcams so you can watch your dog! Seriously, since I was so nervous leaving him with a stranger I needed the reassurance of being able to check in on him 24/7 to make sure he was alright. The first night he was there, I checked the camera shortly after midnight and could barely make out a blob that may have been my dog. I sent an email asking if something was wrong with the camera & I had a response before I woke up at 6am apologizing and stating the problem was fixed. Excellent response time and customer service!! My only negative feedback, not even worth docking a star, was that they didn't give him his daily greenie, even though I provided an outline of his normal routine and snack schedule. I have no hesitation whatsoever bringing him here again. I may even consider trying their daycare services. read more

The most awful experience I have had. NEGLECT! NEGLECT! NEGLECT!! Less than an hour after I dropped my dogs off I received a call that they were being aggressive and they'd be monitored. For the next 50 hours my dogs sat in their room without a single walk or bit of attention from any staff member! THEY WEREN'T WALKED ONCE! My dogs peed all over their blankets and floor and were forced to sleep in it! The staff had NO solution to clean it for them to have a clean area to sleep in. After day 1, the ONE water bowl they provided stayed dry! You can see on the video it was dry and when I went back to pick my dogs up I saw it was dry! We live in FLORIDA, it's 90+ degrees outside! How NEGLECTFUL! It's HARD TO BELIEVE that an accredited facility wouldn't have a solution for an aggressive dog outside of PURE NEGLECT! No water! No walks! What did I pay $250+ for???? The owner says their camera system records however he cannot provide me any footage of my dogs being cared for OR aggressive!! STAY AWAY! BOARD ELSEWHERE! The girls there are always smiling and friendly when we come in to drop Zeus off for Doggie Daycare, they always take time to talk. I also really like the video cameras in the Daycare rooms so I can see how things are going. We just picked our 9 year old dog up from a 5 day stay here. She's an old girl who's VERY set in her ways. She's never been boarded before so we were very nervous about sending her. However, it was a must with our situation. Let me just say from the second we brought her in, her eyes lit up and she was filled with excitement! We thought she'd be sad and moping with us leaving but no... it was quite the opposite! She RAN to go back with the lady. We opted for the presidential suite w/ the indoor/outdoor run and webcams. Yes webcams!! Those were awesome! We could log in at anytime and see what our girl was doing. We saw her sleeping, eating, we saw when it was her "playtime" with a worker, everything! Talk about peace of mind! We could see she was happy and being very well cared for! Highly recommend!!! We will absolutely bring Makena back for our next trip! Thank you, PIP! read more

I have been going to Paws Inn Paradise for almost a year. I bring my dog there at least 2 times a week for daycare and for about 5 months we would leave him there one night a week over night so he could play with dogs and to wear him out. (He is now a 1 year old pure bred German shepherd) I was referred to this place by my neighbor. His dog LOVED this place. He said it had webcams so you can watch your dog, it's all indoors and the staff is always there to watch and make sure everything is ok. I have NEVER had an issue with this place. When I arrive, everyone knows my dog and they greet him instantly. About a month ago I dropped him off on a Saturday morning so I could run some errands and so he could play. About an hour after I drop him off, I receive a call from the owner telling me that my dog was aggressive towards another dog and that they had to remove him from daycare. I was shocked. I take this dog to dog parks all the time and his best friend is a little English Bulldog. I have NEVER seen my dog aggressive. I tell the owner, Ron I will be there in ten mins to get him, and that I am extremely sorry that he was aggressive and I hope that he didn't injure anyone. On my way there I call my husband because I can't fathom that my dog could ever be like that. My husband agrees that Bishop isn't aggressive and he feels like it's a miscommunication. As soon as I arrive to Paws Inn Paradise, Ron greets me at the door and tells me that he is sorry but there was a mix up. It was not my dog that was aggressive; it was his doppelganger that got out of control. Which at the time I was extremely relived to hear that my dog was in fact not the aggressive dog. He apologized and said that he would not charge me for day care. Well, I was under the influence that there is a NO AGGRESSIVE tolerance at day care. Meaning if your dog gets kicked out for fighting, your dog shouldn't be able to come back. ESPECIALLY if he a repeat offender. I came back Saturday evening to get bishop and who do I see in the daycare room with all the dogs? Bishops doppelganger, the same dog that was kicked out hours before for being aggressive. Fast forward. This past weekend, I dropped my dog off Friday for his regular day of daycare. Saturday afternoon we took him back and left him there over night. Early Sunday morning we pick him up. My dog was absolutely exhausted and I didn't think anything of it. Monday my husband and I came home from work and notice a mark in between my dogs ribs. We immediately jump down to the ground to examine what it is. To our surprise, we find a hole in between his ribs. I don't know what caused it. It appears to look like a gun shot wound but I know it isn't. We panic and rush him to the vet. On the way to the vet I call Paws Inn Paradise to see if there was any record of anything. (They are suppose to record incidents and are suppose to inform you of anything that happens) The girl I spoke with put me on hold for about 5 mins to go check the log of the weekend and to ask someone who was there. She tells me "This weekend was actually a pretty calm weekend, we had no fights and everything went smooth" I asked her to have the owner call me as soon as possible because my dog was inured and I want to know how this happened. About ten mins later Ron calls me. I ask him what happened this weekend and he says "well your dog was aggressive all weekend; he was being a bully & picking fights with other dogs we had to take him out of daycare and put him in a private room" Well first of all, if he was in fact aggressive, why did the girl I speak with not have it in her record? Why was I not informed of his aggression and further more why was I charged for daycare if he was in fact not in daycare? Ron tells me that it is not their job to baby-sit these dogs every minuet of everyday. Is that not what dog daycare is? If I wanted to have my dog unattended all day I could just leave him at home. I pay for DAY CARE so you can keep an eye on him. At this point I am completely out raged by their negligence to my animal. I easily spend $400+ a month at this place only to find out that it is a dog free for all. Ron tells me that hes sorry that my dog is injured but it is not their fault. I hang up because I am extremely upset and disappointed. We finally arrive to my vet who thankfully rushed us through to be examined. They said that they can't tell what caused the hole but they said it happened probably Friday or Saturday by the amount of healing that has already taken place. They said it was infected but since it was already healing he didn't need stitches. They shaved the spot and cleaned it out, gave us some antibiotics and the cone of shame and we were on our way home. Thankfully he didn't need stitches but at the same time this establishment shouldn't have been so negligent toward my animal. My dog should not of had to of gone through this and I should not of been responsible for the bill. read more

I took my dogs to Paws Of a Paradise. One golden retriever and a puppy chocolate lab. My puppy was injured while staying there by her tail being caught in the door. They had to take her to the ER when The doctor had to cut the remaining part of her tail off. Such a bad experience! Ron told me accidents happen then that's when I got upset telling him it could of been prevented. He told me that I was lucky he paid the vet bill because he's not respondsible for anything that happens while in his care. & that I could sue him if I liked with a smile on his face! Not once did anyone seem remorseful for their actions he just kept defending his actions saying it was an accident. I leaves dog in your care to take care of him, not to come back to find my 2 month old pup with a cone around her head and the remaining tail bandage up. Oh by the way Ron said he has 123 other dogs to worry about and hard to keep your eye on all of them that's the problem there too many dogs not enough help. read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DOG NEGLECT! I boarded my dogs here while I was on a cruise in October and had written in my online file that my two dogs were not supposed to be in any type of daycare or around other dogs. I also spoke with the girl at the front desk about this when dropping them off and she ensured me the notes were in the file and they were not to be around other dogs during their stay. The staff did not listen to directions and had them around other dogs and one of my dogs was injured and had a head wound that required stitches. She was also placed on antibiotics from the vet. When I came to get my dogs I tried to discuss why the oversight and injury had happened and why they did not keep them apart from other dogs but they were just overly rude and would not discuss the incident. I asked for her antibiotics that I was told about over the phone and they kept saying they didn't have any. I left with my dogs on a Friday and told them they needed to have the owner call me about the incident. I called them again on Monday and once again asked for the boss and asked about antibiotics they still could not find. I called the animal hospital she was taken to and they ensured me they had given the antibiotics to Paws Inn Paradise on the Thursday she was injured. I had to call Paws Inn Paradise back again and explain I had just talked to the animal hospital and they needed to find her antibiotics because she had been without them for 3 to 4 days at this point. They finally "found" them and I came in to get them and asked if she had been given them during her stay and they told me yes and again would not discuss the incident. Looking in the bottle there were no pills missing so they never even gave my dog her antibiotics prescribed. It took the owner almost two weeks to return a phone call and he lied about the above events and tried to make excuses and call them "oversights that were not a big deal". I will never board dogs here again. It is overcrowded and the dogs are not taken care of properly and there are now multiple reports of dogs being injured under their neglectful care. read more

Paws Inn Paradise Rating Select your rating I had to attend my daughters wedding in another state. That meant the dinners and activities so I left my two pedigree Shih Tzus worth over $2000.00 with you. I filled out all your paperwork, left explicit information, and brought their food, toys, treats, bedding and food tray with dishes and the matt they set on. When I got to my destination I found out I could not log in to see them so I assumed the were being cared for. I left them Tue.evening because I had to catch a flight at 4:00 a.m. I picked them up after 6 days on Wed. in the morning. My dogs have had exquisite care since birth but now they must have been left uncared for the whole time and barked themselves sick. All you would have to have done is taken a few minutes to pet them. There beds that I sent were wet and soaked in urine for how many days I do not know. They will wet on their beds if distressed. I sent and measured out their food more than enough for my absence and never received the container for it also their food bowls were missing and when I called about them you assured me they were in their basket of things which they were not. The little girl dog was so traumatized she would only sit or hide and I had to carry her in and out of the house to go potty and they had kennel cough so bad I had to take them to their vet and they are now on antibiotics and medication for their throats. I will never recommend your place to a dog as they say. Rose M Flores, Aug. 14, 2018 P.S. You are not worthy of one star from my point of view. read more

I do not recommend this place to anyone. After a week that I took vacations and left them on boarding my dog, when I picked him up I got to my house I had vomiting and diarrhea. I contacted them to ask them what happened when my dog was with those symptoms and they told me they do not know Maybe he was nervous about leaving her there for a week. The next day I took her to the hospital and all the tests were done and her diagnosis was gastritis. As far as I know, gastritis does not come from nerves. The DR tells me that he ate something that is not tolerant in his system. I give my dog his normal food. All the tests were done, he was given fluids, injection for diarrhea and vomiting, medicines for the house and a diet. The play in $ 1,000.
