A great pet store! It mainly focuses on dogs, but they do have a small selection for cats too! They have the cutest car magnets and dog treats that looks so delicious! The man who works there (might be the owner?) is probably the most friendly person ever! He always gives a small gift with purchase, such as more car magnets and frisbees. read more

This is the cutest store tailored for dog owners/lovers. Everything here is doggie related. Dog nick-knacks, dog supplies, dog apparel (for humans as well as dogs) and dog treats. I got my dog an all natural lobster shaped biscuit -- which he loved! The owner also keeps her tiny little Yorkie in the store with her. Forgot a cpl essentials for our dogs. Poop bags and travel bowl. They had both and prices weren't bad...18 bucks for slurppie bottle and a bunch of bags. Easy to find and fun things as well as essentials. Decent prices. read more

This is a nice little place with both things for your dog and dog things for your house. The toy selection and food choices are a bit on the short side but I'm sure you'll find something your fuzzy friend will like. Plus the bully bones were $6 vs $9 at Bark Harbor down the street. read more

We have German Shorthair Pointers. Bark Harbor actually has several things with our breed on them! It has a lot of very cute things and a great place to just chat with other dog owners. I don't own a dog. I likely never will. Let's just say that I think they are too friendly, totally weird, and prone to more gas than I can handle as a grown man. However, this has not stopped from being one of Bark Harbor's most loyal theoretical customers. I would daresay that about 3% of Bark Harbor's net revenue stems directly from my help in its branding, most on the ugly, rancorous streets of downtown Bar Harbor, and in far-off locales like Madrid and Ellsworth. Simply put, this name is genius. When I tell my students (I hope I am not revealing too much of myself here, or making myself the subject of this review) about naming stuff, Bark Harbor is the gold standard, now and forever. I once told a packed house of 5,000 Latvian immigrants that if they wanted to make it in this land, all they had to do was come up with a name one-fifth as good as Bark Harbor. Then I told them that they wouldn't, and that they might as well head home and wait for some sort of massive political upheaval that would allow them to either steal a bunch of gold, get elected to office by accident, or start their own taxi cab business. In closing, if you have a dog, you will like Bark Harbor. How do I know? I don't. But it's so fun to say that I can't possibly imagine a dog owner would not really want to push it where it counts, if you see where I'm headed. Okay, see you soon. read more

Wonderful store. Always very busy when I go in and it can get a little cramped but still worth it. I am a sucker for cute bandanas on my dig and they have a fantastic selection. Lots of breed-specific merchandise, too. Very friendly salespeople. read more

We love this place! Lexy (black lab mix) loves their cookies--and they've got a great selection of fancy baked goods for dogs, not to mention all the other dog stuff they have...Lexy was even allowed inside.
