This dog grooming facility is known for daycare and boarding. Located off the main Highway 6 and Lincoln Road intersection, the facility is very clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking spots, its best to park where their sign is located at or you will miss the doors like I did and hope someone opens the side door instead. Rex was able to play with other dogs in the yard before he was groomed which was a plus. The groomer did a very good job, showing pictures of previous grooms on similar breeds before we left. This was greatly appreciated, demonstrating care and professionalism. The pick up was around the time promised and the check-out was hassle-free. I highly recommend using either their boarding or grooming services if the location becomes convenient or you are unhappy with your current situation.

I love getting report cards throughout the day with updates and pics of my pup. He loves coming here and we always feel like family. The staff is very personable and welcoming. Thank you for taking such good care of our Hank!

Maybe this is normal for daycares and boarding, but he smells like dog urine when I pick him up. I feel like I need to give him a bath when I come home. 2. The last time I brought him there he developed a respiratory infection after his return. I feel better leaving him home alone rather than here for the reasons above.

I received no phone call about the change, the website hasn't been updated, nothing. This place is counting on you to just accept that you will now have to pay them more to exercise your dog or even to just allow them out of their kennel ON TOP of already paying $53 a night as the CHEAPEST OPTION. Don't do it guys. If you're going to pay for a "pet resort" to lock up your dog all day unless you pay more on top for a "nature hike", there are much cheaper places around Omaha. Don't get scammed by these greedy owners. If it's a volume issue, limit reservations or hire more staff. At a bare minimum, CALL YOUR CLIENTS about any major changes. Greed greed greed. While we were gone, we noticed our puppy was not out in the yard and called, and were told if daycare is too full that dogs are rotated for the free "included" time out, so she was not going out that day. I ended up paying extra mid-trip to guarantee her spots so she could go out daily in addition to the extra walks I had already added. I called prior to dropping her off and discussed on check in and was not told that this was the policy and was told she would be out half day on the days that I didn't pay extra for full day. When I picked her up, I asked for a discussion with the manager and was told I would be called. This didn't happen and I called to speak with manager and was very disappointed with the rudeness and poor professionalism that was displayed. We have had such great experiences in the past 4 years that we have used Cottonwood and will not be going back after this experience. It seems they are taking in more dogs than they have staff to handle, so the boarding/daycare isn't as it once was. Very disappointed.

In less than two days, she came home a complete wreck. She reeked of poop and urine, had visible scratches on her nose, chipped nails, and had fully lost her bark. That does not happen from normal "play." When I raised serious concerns, I was brushed off and told she was "playing hard" and that we were "lucky" they did not charge us for the "sanitation bath" they told me they gave her. Sheila, the owner, even dismissed my concern about my dog losing her bark by saying, "dogs bark, they bark all the time," followed by, "I can take you back there so you can hear." This was said instead of showing any concern for my dog's condition. Every attempt to get real answers was met with a condescending "we have it on camera," yet no explanation, accountability, or effort to resolve the issue was provided. The conversation ended with Sheila abruptly hanging up on me the moment I said we would not be returning. No apology. No concern for my dog. Just hung up. This is appalling customer service and extremely concerning animal care. If a dog can come back in this condition after such a short stay, that should alarm any pet owner. Do not trust this place with your pet.

I contacted Fidelity K9 for their six week train & board. Our youngest just turned a year old, and we were struggling with getting her to the same level of obedience as our older shepherd. Our older shepherd was having a lot of leash reactivity and high anxiety. Steve reached out to me directly to go over what we wanted out of the program and the problems we were having with them at home. He really went above and beyond for us. As stressful as a cross-country move is, it was so kind of Steve to give us recommendations for places to stay that would take our dogs after they finished training and was incredibly flexible when we needed to postpone drop off because of a hiccup in our move. I could immediately tell that he genuinely cares about his clients. We dropped our dogs off and enjoyed catching their progress videos every week. They were improving and learning so much! I was shocked how well they handled our older dog's leash reactivity. Our youngest is practically a new dog. Our 2 week follow-up got pushed back because of my work schedule. In that time, our dogs were in a single hotel room and were feeling the cramped environment and having some trouble adjusting. We talked to the trainer at our follow-up, and she gave us the best pep talk ever. Since our follow-up, we haven't had any further issues. She made it clear we had lifetime support and to call if we were getting overwhelmed or having trouble with them. Again, everyone here always gave me the impression that they didn't just care about our dogs, but they cared about their people clients, too. We're all moved into our house with 2 well-behaved, great dogs, and I'm so thankful to the trainers at Fidelity K9.

I don't have access to genetic testing and neither do you. I brought my 2 year old German Shepherd in for a private session after the dog growled at my wife when trying to get him inside. Steve said the dog would benefit from a 6 week board and train for $3500. Thinking this was my last option I dropped him off a week later. The busi doesn't give you any updates other than 720p footage of the dog walking with a trainer, or their attempts to play with your dog. After 5 weeks and 3 videos Steve the owner called me saying "were just scratching our heads and don't know what to do with your dog". He said he was moody, and probably just had anxiety. He recommended trying a medication so I called the vet and brought in pills the next day. After 6 weeks I went in and none of the trainers there looked confident in their work, and were still scratching their heads other than saying the dog "had bad genes". They had me sit in the training room and were holding the dog by two leashes, and figured the best way for our dog to see us was to hold the leash and have him approach us with tension on the leash as we sat. The dog growled at us and it was clear he was worse than before. The dog could not come home with us and now I'm out $3500, and a dog. I have no i what I paid for other than making the dog worse and confirming everyone's at the homes fears about the dog. I believe Steve has no idea what's happening at his business and they're not standing by their work. That dog would of done better had be never gone to that the 'board and forget' training program.

AWFUL. NEVER AGAIN…read more This is the first poor review I've ever left for anything in my entire life. I am a 15 year military veteran and have boarded my dogs dozens of times for trips, deployments, holidays, etc. Never could I have imagined "dog boarding" to not include kennels? Here was our experience: I was slightly late trying to get Christmas boarding secured for our two dogs. I made the reservations approximately two weeks before Christmas as a result of our normal 3 locations being booked. I found the Paws N Play website via Google and called to inquire availability. They advised they had room for overnight boarding on the dates we needed. I then filled out a 5 page questionnaire and emailed over vaccination records for each dog. When I arrived to drop the dogs off, there was no one working in the main area inside the doors and there was a sign to come around the corner to the garage. The door on the garage said knock softly, so I did. Then the door opened and 10+ large (100+ pound) dogs came running out, surrounding me, several jumping on me and my dogs (mine were both leashed). The owners? asked the dogs names and when I'd be back. I looked around and noticed the areas where the kennels were did not have heat (it is the middle of winter). I asked where the dogs would sleep? They advised the dogs would all sleep together in the "garage". There were over 15 dogs, and only 6-7 kennels. I told them it seemed odd to me that all these random dogs would be allowed to run loose together and then would be left alone overnight not kenneled? They said it was fine and reassured me it would be alright. I had to make the decision of skip Christmas vacation out of town, or leave the dogs with these people who obviously have no business in the boarding business. I left the dogs as we would only be gone 48 hours. They advised the dogs were supervised from 8AM -7PM daily and were "put to bed" around 7PM daily. When I returned slightly less than 48 hours later, the lights were off to the building and I could hear all the dogs running around together, not kenneled. Dogs ranged in size from 20lbs - 130lbs approx and all dogs were allowed to run together completely unsupervised. I then had to go knock on the house (detached from the boarding facility) and ask to get my dogs. When they let me in the facility, I confirmed the lights were off and the dogs were free to do whatever with no supervision, and not kept separate from each other. We have lived in many different cities, and boarded our dogs at dozens of locations over the years. I have never had a bad experience anywhere, and don't pay for lavish accommodations. This was the most expensive I've ever paid at $56 for 2 dogs for 24 hours. This was also the worst possible experience I could've imagined. I thought for sure I would be returning to find severe injuries or illness to each dog. That luckily did not happen, but I can assure you - at some point it will become a reality for this horribly managed establishment. I will also be following up with the State of Nebraska to conduct an inquiry as to the policies and practices of this facility. I would not recommend any services from Paws n Play Omaha, and will continue to spread the word to avoid at all costs.
