My dog unexpectedly became ill after his previous annual assessment of being normal. We brought him there 6 times & spent more money on him for diagnostics than any other of my dogs BUT STILL never got a clear answer of what was wrong. THEY SENT my dog into respiratory distress, I'm a nurse (completely competent to count, respirations )and I called them with my dogs respirations rate And they told me I was exaggerating and I did not need to bring my dog in, but I insisted, and when I brought my dog in the vet, tech took one look at him, looked at his blue gums and hastily grabbed him from us to be evaluated instantly by the vet. He was put on oxygen and at that point he was oxygen dependent due to hypoxia. still the vet walked in and said let's put them on pills and do more imaging. My dog have been suffering for 2 weeks due to the incompetence of this vet. I couldn't do it anymore. I would love to go into more details, but I am so traumatized by the horrific experience and the traumatizing death of my dog. I just can't do it in one day. I will update with more information. He…read moreis 6 years old, 47 lbs, and has always been absolutely defiant when it comes to even touching his paws. His nails were getting pretty long, and the hair between his toes had grown out. I knew I needed to address this, but I was deathly afraid of traumatizing him. That's when I found FurReal groomers, less than 5 minutes away from my house. Aubrey was able to get me in right away. I dropped off my dog, and about 2 hours later she called me back to let him know that he was ready to be picked up. When I arrived back, Aubrey walked him out. He was sporting a bandana, a bowtie, and the most manicured paws I had seen on him since he had been anesthetized for his last teeth cleaning! She told me that he was not happy about having his nails clipped, but she still managed to get it done and was willing to work with him again in the future. The best part: even though I could tell he was not enthused about having had his feet messed with, he was not shaking or trembling. He had not been traumatized, so my biggest fear was avoided. For that, FurReal Groomers was worth every penny. If you have an anxious, stubborn dog, I truly believe they can work with you too. Our 3 year old was in bad shape with sores on her, covered in urine and 6.5 pounds lighter. We later found out that our 14 month old died from dehydration and possible starvation. She had absolutely no food in her stomach or even small intestines. Please stay clear and protect your fur babies. We have asked for refund and have not gotten it.

My dog Panda had extreme reactivity to anything that moved. We started seeing signs of a problem…read morewhen he was about 4 months old. At 5 months, he ran to and bit our sweet and understanding neighbor with no provocation. We realized that we had a serious problem developing. Over the course of the next 7 months, we went through several pure positive trainers and training methods. This works for many dogs, but for Panda's extreme anxiety, it did not. He continued to escalate and when he turned 1, I broke down in tears as I was losing this boy by degrees. We went through several trainers, hundreds of training hours (with trainers and personally), and thousands of dollars trying to help him. It was so bad, I even considered having his teeth removed (I know, crazy). Almost every trainer at that point had said we either needed to put him down or that "he is just a dog that needs to be locked up when people are around and kept at home away from the public." Thats like going to an Oncologist and having them say "Well you have cancer, so go home as there is nothing we can do". DeepWater has changed our lives. Panda leads a full life. We can run off leash, we can enter crowded areas, we can pass playgrounds and dog parks without issue. We love the weekly group outings. It gives Panda a chance to challenge his skills and gives me the security of having experts on hand for advice. Plus its just nice to get together with like minded people :) I advocate for these trainers fiercely because they saved our beloved dog and gave us the training and tools to share a wonderful full life with Panda. Without them, we were in unbelievable despair. Many dogs like Panda are put down or relinquished to shelters with no positive future in sight. It simply does not have to be. If you have a troubled dog, you need to contact these trainers immediately. It will be the best decision imaginable.

She did not rush me; she took her time. This is big because, in the end, our dogs have to come back and live with us. Candice keeps in contact with you during the 2-week process. Being from Belton, Texas/Central Texas, she is very close to me. She made home visits during the training, bringing him to me so we could work together with his new skills, too. There are children at her home, so he was socialized with children, which is critical in having a family dog. I love that she took him to public destinations, too. Especially since we are working on him being my medical service dog as well. I am very happy with the results. I see a huge difference in his overall behavior, and so do all of the victims of his overwhelming affection prior to the training. From our very first consultation, I knew Sierra was going to be the trainer we hired. Before the consultation was even finished, she had already impressed us with how prepared and thorough she was. She came prepared with a detailed intake form to learn about Josie's history, diet, exercise, play, current behaviors, and, most importantly, our goals for her training. Sierra took the time to explain her mission, training philosophy, plan, and expectations--not only for Josie but also for us as owners. She understood that we were in urgent need of help with our wild puppy and was incredibly accommodating, fitting Josie into her schedule within a week. The drop-off was another detailed meeting where we reviewed general lesson plans and goals for Josie. Sierra was so calm, patient, and reassuring that she made leaving Josie much easier than we expected, for Josie and ourselves. Throughout the entire 30-day board-and-train, we received regular updates, pictures, and videos. Sierra was always willing to answer our questions and kept us involved in Josie's progress every step of the way. At pickup, Sierra provided us with an incredibly thorough training packet. It included commands, board-and-train maintenance instructions, schedules, structure, and examples of activities to continue at home. We also received professional training videos, along with videos specifically showing Josie's training. We had a hands-on dog-walking and basic-commands lesson, two follow-up visits included, and--one of my favorite parts--lifetime support as long as we continue following the training program. Josie has now been home for 10 days, and she is doing incredibly well--so much better than when she left! We continue to communicate regularly with Sierra, sending pictures and videos of Josie practicing her training. Sierra takes the time to review everything and responds promptly with encouragement, praise, and helpful suggestions or tips whenever we need them. What really sets Sierra apart is that she is knowledgeable not only about dog training but also about the overall health and well-being of dogs. Our experience: We adopted Sunny from the West Valley Humane Society back in January. For months we tried various different training programs. We tried online training and in person private classes and nothing really seemed to work for him. He had a ton of anxiety, was not confident, was reactive and aggressive towards all dogs but specifically small ones, did not know boundaries, etc. We really had our hands full with our Sunny boy but he needed someone that was going to be patient with him and boy was Sierra just that! We purchased Sierra's board and train class (2 weeks) and Sierra kept our boy an ADDITIONAL 2 weeks because he was having a hard time focusing and getting comfortable. Not only that, her training was a third of the price that we were going to pay for a board and train at another local place. She really did what was the best for him. Like I said before, Sunny was a lot of work and Sierra went above and beyond in every way to help our boy. She first came over for a consult to see what we were wanting to get out of her services and how we were already doing things and offered assistance with that. At the time that Sunny was with Sierra he learned: -how to walk on a leash (before he would pull your arm off) -recall -"place" -crate training -riding in the car -listening to commands -gained confidence -how to interact with dogs -& so much more!
