His owner became ill, and If She couldn't find someone to take Him, I was told,She would have had to put Him to sleep. I Immediately stepped in. We were Homeless together for 2 1/2 years, and with the help of the VA, and VASH, ( I am an Honorably Discharged Veteran of the United States Navy), I was Approved for Section 8 Housing. After being on the bottom of a waiting list (for an Apartment) CODY and I soon got Our own place! He has been with Me as My Family, My Companion, One of My Loves, and most importantly, My Sobriety Cat. "My HERO"! We have been through a lot together. He has kept Me Strong during difficult times, (We all know how Life can be)! Around the beginning of the Year, 2026, I took CODY in for a check-up. I found Out He had "Kidney Disease". I was devastated. I didn't know what little time We had left together. His last weekend with Me, He wasn't eating and Very weak. I contacted Humane Society in Escondido, cause I live in North County. I made an Appointment to bring Him in. It was Sunday March 15, 2026. When I arrived, the Staff were very Courteous, Compassionate and really showed their Love for My CODY, like I have. They allowed Me to spend as much time as needed. I asked them if they can give Him some water, because He seemed to be trying to swallow. They said of course, and They would give Him "Whipped Cream"! When I left Him that afternoon, CODY looked so Peaceful! I Truly felt I had made the right decision! My Sincere Appreciation for CODY and San Diego Humane Society (Escondido Branch)! btw I am still maintaining Sobriety! NMRK

You can tell by how the puppies/dogs respond around her. She is a very honest, sweet, informative doggy foster mom. She provided information from toys, food & extensive doggy tips. She is always responsive by phone and text. Even when I text her late at night, she is always responding! Before the actual adopting day, she would send you pictures of your puppy to keep you updated. Truthfully, she and how Art and paw animal rescue is ran, should be an example of how all the animal rescues should be. I adopted my puppy from a group of 9 puppies and she knew everything about each and every single one of them. One thing I appreciate about her is, she doesn't get motivated by money but rather she truly cares for the dogs and want them to find the perfect home. She really takes the time to find the perfect home for each dog! You will not regret adopting! Also her company is ran from donations so please head onto the website and donate (: Thank you Liraz for the amazing experience.

Unless those are met, we do not take a vacation. On last Saturday, we went to Petsmart to get some dog food and cat food. My wife found this lovely dog that she would not leave without her. Art and Paws Animal Rescue went through all the questions about our living environment to make sure the dog was going to a right place, made sure that we were committed, not compulsive and showed us the papers with medical history and everything. Lulu is so happy being with other brothers and a sister and fit right in without hesitation. There are some dog rescues that only concentrate on making dogs adopted but Art and Paws Rescue really care for the dogs and we felt the right thing as dog owners. I already sent them thank you email plus lots of pictures ans will follow up with them continuously. Great job "Art & Paws Animal Rescue" and thank you for letting us having Lulu.

What truly sets this rescue apart is their unwavering commitment to finding the right home for each and every dog, rather than simply placing them quickly. They ask thoughtful questions about lifestyle and expectations, and genuinely invest time in matching dogs with families where they will thrive. It's clear they view adoption as a lifelong commitment, not a transaction. Beyond the adoption practices, the staff and volunteers demonstrate genuine love and compassion for every dog that comes through their doors. They don't just provide food and shelter, they offer individual attention, training, socialization, and emotional care. These dogs aren't inventory; they're cherished individuals deserving of the best possible futures. I wholeheartedly recommend Soulmate Animal Rescue as a trustworthy, compassionate organization that will place every one of their pets with a family that will love and care for them as they deserve.

Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue - Those ears! 3

Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue

Hello, My dog, who is now resting in a better place, and is…read morein other reviews for grooming places etc.... Ava. I believe I should have written Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue and asked to be a foster mother temporarily instead of jumping the gun. They were helpful when I met them at PetSmart off College in Oceanside, CA on Sunday when they have rerecurring adoption events outside. It is a great starting set up and their accommodations intertwined with PetSmart really made me feel as though I was going off on the right foot with a new puppy pal, who I named Bella. She is approx. 4 months old and she was a stray in Mexico, from what I was told, and I did not take into consideration whether I would be the one to be able to mother my two children and take her to her training because she really is worth it. She is amazing, adorable, LOVING! dog. She wanted my love every single day whether I was stressed or not she managed to do better than I did some days. I really feel as though I let her down by not being able to keep her because I was able to get her to walk around outside without trying to run up inside the Condo right away, which she did try to do for the first few days. Everyone interested in going to the humane society should know there is a difference between a stray dog that is found in North County or San Diego County for a day walking around or two, versus a dog who has had to fend for themselves from such a young and early age. Fuzzy Feet really helps these dogs and I can see that they give them the best they can and that is so much more than most places or a humane society who I can see putting them down because in the past they had put down a dog of mine who was 9 months old that had gotten out for less than 24 hours and they had already quarantined my animal and told me to pay for it or they have to put them down. Rescues like Fuzzy Feet Dog Rescue I really appreciate, and they also are once again like I said, linked with PetSmart in the sense that they will give you tons of coupons for free doggie day care day, free one on one training, free vet exam at participating Banfield, and tons of coupons within the store. My heart was empty after losing my dog of 14 years and I realized this was not the answer, but I do advocate for this rescue and what they are doing. I wish that they will provide seeking dog adopters with medication lists that the dog is on and that way you do not have to find out the hard way in your home that they have worms. lol. Puppys get them a lot and I realize this, granted my dog I had before never had them, but she also was never a starving stray and I know they are doing an excellent job. Here are some pictures of Bella in the car, and in the home just relaxing and being better behaved than my dog was for 14 years in the car, and she was twice as small. I did not want a full refund as it was not part of the contract but that is what they gave me. I appreciate that but I also wanted to donate to them more things I have, and I did not feel as though they were interested. Dogs from Mexico can have anxiety issues and whine for no reason and lead to chewing etc., more so than an average puppy. Bella is worth it if I did not have my work from home and Motherhood, I would have been able to do all the things she needed. She is an amazing, adorable, and a sweetheart and I pray for and her and all the dogs there with FFDR and I hope that they get adopted soon but I can say this dog Bella she responded to her name after a couple days she ate when it was time and then left it and she relaxed in the car. Thank you again FFDR. My only ask or constructive comment(s) would be to please get them tagged (it is also $15.00/fifteen dollars right now for chipping your dog at SDHS) and to take them established to a vet in San Diego County instead of over the border, and make sure that if they are on a deworming schedule I would have liked to know. Also, the paperwork had her beginnings of regular vaccinations except for the Rabies vaccine even though she was from Mexico and a stray and was living with other rescues and to help the adopter not have those fees and be able to take them to training right away without having to worry about the chipping and rabies vaccine. Bella was retreated twice in my home as well as I was concerned about her spaying job since I could not take her to the same vet as the one she was spayed at, I would not have been able to use the PetSmart coupon for free Banfield Exam and establishment of care without having to pay for the Rabies and Chipping later on, but her blue scars from it were raised and worrisome.

Shes still up on all of the websites and it's very misleading. Then the lady that called me to review my application was very condescending. I am 18 but I've been taking care of dogs my whole life from Shitzus to pitbulls to cattle dogs and i currently have a border collie. we make sure that he is very busy so he doesn't get bored and get destructive but the lady that was talking to me was treating me like I didn't know anything about my dog and his breed even though I was very thorough about how my dogs schedule is. She then told me that because my husband is in the military and that because we're still young we should be fine with the one dog. I come from a military family already, I've done moves with multiple dogs and my siblings and yes it can be hard but I've experienced it before and I tried to explain that but she kept persisting. After that she was talking about how the puppy I was inquiring about was so small and she was worried about my dog injuring it, my dog is the sweetest and he's very polite to other dogs he meets considering his energetic breed (we make sure he is not overly energetic by exercising him and keeping his brain occupied with the frozen Kong treats and deer antlers because he is a big chewer). I am not happy with the service I received and in the future I hope that the lady helped me can fix her attitude when talking to potential customers. I will be looking at other shelters and rescues that will hopefully have better representatives of the business.
