One has to feel very confident when you are leaving a loved member of the family in the care of a groomer. Once you walk into the door & see the wagging tails under the groomers gentle care you know this is the place to leave your dog with confidence. We take a 15 year old Mini-Schnauzer & a 3 year old YorkiePoo & they both love their fluff & buff hair cuts & nail cutting/grinding treatments.

Having our pooch move from another city to Waterloo meant we had to look for a new groomer. Looking…read moreat other services around the KW area, I was drawn to Clippers because of the homey feel I got from their page and reading about their staff. The parking lot is a little small but it's in a nice location where you can easily hop over to a coffeeshop or other places while you wait for your pet to get their cuts, etc. done. I liked that the staff in the back (who would be doing the haircut) was the one directly talking to us to get exactly what we wanted. She asked us the right questions, and in great detail. My partner and I had concerns about our dog's nails and they were able to clip them (which gave our little one great relief!). I was very happy with the service and we got exactly what we told her to do for our dog. Overall, it was a very good experience!

When I came in for my cats appt- there was no hello or smile it was just " whos this". Even though there is a chart right in their hands of previous appts- I still get asked what would you like today. So I said the same as last time. After some more rudeness I had drop my cat off and came back an hour later. The girl at the front asked me what I was there for. I was shocked that just an hour before that I had dropped my cat off to her. And after I said I just dropped him off - more attitude. A customer had come in when I was sitting there waiting- and she again gave attitude to another customer. The customer said " hello how are you" and right away the recptionist said " who's this" very rudely. I would be going to another place but unfortunately there are not many places around that will cut cats. I don't want to make them look bad but this has been happening many times now and I feel that if you are dealing with the public- a simple hello and or a smile would be nice. Especially for the price I pay for my cats hair to be cut. The employees that actually work- in the back- are great and keep up the excellent work!

The attention to detail, the kindness and the love and care they put into taking care of any pup that comes in is outstanding! We brought in our beagle, Olive; who HATES nail clippings. The amount of patience they had with my fur baby is amazing. Melanie and Vicky tried different techniques to get Olive to calm down for her clipping and it turned out nothing short of perfect. I'm never let down by Central Bark, and it's now my go-to; even if I have to commute a bit to get there!

It was a game-changer! Now on grooming day our little one happily walks US to the door for drop off! The experience is caring and professional. We appreciate that Greg takes the time to listen for any medical updates or special grooming requests, like what we call the "Summer Beach" cut. After each appointment, our guy always looks and smells divine. And he knows it, pretty much prancing back to the car! I want to close by acknowledging I have learned that grooming sessions are about more than "cosmetics", they are also about "quality of life". Greg has made observations and shared suggestions like how to address matting, what/where hot spots are and even when a vet appointment would be wise. I repeat, we are thankful - and we recommend!

The first time I met J&M, they came by to get to know my pets and collect the key. They took a lot of time saying hi to each cat and learning about her personality. I immediately felt safe leaving my animals in their hands, and from that point I used their services many more times, including over the Christmas holidays. I was always so impressed with their care. They would call if they had any questions, clean up very thoroughly, and write a very cute report of who did what and how much everyone ate. They would also play with my pets and keep a close eye on how everyone was doing, which was impressive because I have two anti-social (ex-feral) cats. I loved coming home and reading about what my pets are up to! I don't have J&M come visit anymore because I moved away from Waterloo, and I deeply miss having such a great resource nearby. I highly recommend Janice and Murray and WPS. They have fair prices and they care very deeply.
