One of my fave caffeinated beverages in México is café de olla. I asked them if they have it. The barista replied no, but that he could make a latte taste like café de olla. I ordered a latte sabor with lactose free milk and he did in fact make it very similar to café de olla.
I ordered a turkey sandwich on a bagel. (It's called "ham" in TJ, but it isn't made of pork, it's turkey, just like in most places in TJ.) The ingredients were very fresh and delicious.
I also ordered a delicious dessert. Please see my attached photos.
Employees wore masks. Before crossing over a barrier and setting foot on the premises, all (masked) customers were offered hand sanitizer and a staff member took their temperature. All places that I visited so far in TJ did this. This is probably why they have CoViD under control in TJ, in sharp contrast to the state of California and many other states in the US.
There was a lot of outdoor seating.
This café is a chain or a franchise with multiple locations in TJ. This location is very convenient because it's right across the street from a dance club and it's walking distance from Costco and other businesses. There is a taxi stand right out front.
The employees are very helpful and they deliver fast service. A staff member even asked me if I wanted to use the restroom before closing and cleaning it for the night. How considerate... Please give them a raise and promotion. I highly recommend this place. read more
