Stopped in for a drink as we were at a Airbnb across the street. Nice people fun atmosphere. Large space with pool tables and tvs. The hotdog place next to it had really good fish and chips and street tacos. We ordered food there and they brought it to us in the bar. read more

We had a nice impromptu date night while staying in Munising. Tonight there was a food truck there and the grub was solid, which was a plus. The bartender at this place was on her own, but she was a total natural. No delay in fetching drinks. You go to the bar for your order, no waiter/waitress service. Was rudely treated by management... Acts like she's the Queen of the castle and she waits on your when she wants to.. My husband left a bad review and then I was kicked out, hm.. My husband has a mind if his own... And when she kicked me out for doing nothing, I was trying to get a ride, as I'm disabled and couldn't walk all the way home, she screamed at me and told me I had to leave or she was calling the cops, me frustrated and hurting from the walk there, was trying to get a ride and she was ssreaming at me again that I had to get out!!! I ended up crying in the rain with no ride and Having to walk all the way home just because I wanted to have a drink in the only bar in munising!!! My husband and I were visiting from Gaylord Mi, and this is the place to go. They have amazing food trucks outside. The atmosphere was great, even though we weren't locals, we weren't treated any differently. The 3 bartenders we felt with were friendly and attentive. When we do another mini get away from the kids we will definitely be back. read more

The owner kicked us out with our service dog. He asked to see her papers and said "did ya get these on the computer?" We showed him her tag and explained that she is a legal service dog for seizure support and he told us to leave. read more

Great place to watch a Michigan football game! It has been an annual tradition for me, well, 3 years running to watch the season opener here. The beer choices are not great, and getting food can be interesting - but the atmosphere, if you're a Michigan fan, is memorable! Looking forward to being there for the big opener against Notre Dame next Saturday evening. Go Blue! read more

The space is beautiful and really clean. Decked out with Michigan sports teams. The patrons are awesome people and so are the bartenders. However, the owner is a complete jerk to his customers and does not know how to handle situations professionally. I cannot support a business owner like that and won't be back. This is a bar without food. Food was outside at Johnny's Tacos, Johnny's hotdogs, and a German food stand. You could get drinks at Barge and food at these other places and eat in a common area. Couldn't take pop on Barge side or drinks from Barge on Johnny's side. Johnny's fish taco we're okay, but I have high standards for Mexican food. read more

We had a very pleasant evening here in early August 2017. We brought in our own pizza and enjoyed beer and cocktails. They have a small, but good selection of local craft beer on tap. The bar maid was very nice to us. The Barge Inn has a nice local tavern atmosphere, and their big outdoor beer garden is a plus. read more

Went there for beers but got food from the famous hot dog stand next door. The daytime manager (owner?) was a complete jerk. We sat in the open seating and he was VERY upset about placing one of our drinks (that we got from his restaurant) on the railing. The burgers are so good. Lots of locals sit at the bar and are in and out so it was a little daunting at first. Not many tourists came in. But it was so worth it. Everyone was so nice. read more
