Good selection of hiking brand t-shirts, pants, hats could be found in both the men's and women's areas. The back of the store had a pretty good selection of hiking shoes/boots as well as some higher priced brands for slides and things like that. They had plenty of product to browse through and even have their own name branded stuff. Prices were comparable to other outdoor type stores. Sales were good, wish we had found some stuff that we would want. I'd check this store out again if we are in the area in the future. I've heard that this family-owned business has since changed hands; my fingers were crossed that the legacy lived on. Enter Gallery at Crossroads with its cake counter marked "McEntyre's". Yes! It's the same bakeshop from my old neighborhood. Well ... kind of, sort of. As the proprietor told me, you can special order anything from the main store and have it shipped to their location in Dallas, though they do keep an inventory of cakes, cookies and other treats. The cheese straws were great! The lemon bars, as I remembered. The peanut butter bars, not so much. ("I think they're sort of stale," my daughter said -- which could be a problem with an off-site outlet.) In addition to baked goods, the store sells jewelry, gift items and antiques. It's a small shop and I was delighted to find a typesetter's draw -- I've been looking for one! -- to showcase my collection of miniatures. The woman who runs the shop is friendly and helpful. I think her location is somewhat off the beaten path ... but if you're there, stop in for lunch at the neighboring Mexican restaurant. (It's very good!) Note that the Gallery At Crossroads is closed Sundays.
