Luckily, I found Cyber Tech Cafe in my search and noticed the CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) logo on their main page. Immediately, I knew they had to know Linux and could help. After submitting a request on their contact page, Nathan replied and I explained the need for their help and their patience with my dad. He followed-up with my questions and I sent my dad, computer in hand, over to the shop. Nathan updated me later with the current status and prognosis for the computer. Super nice. I had three watches that all needed new batteries. I dropped them off and went to lunch with friends. When I returned to pick them up, Susan told me that one of the watches didn't need a battery it just needed to be "shuck up" because it was an older watch and had been sitting in my drawer for a while. It needed just some movement to start ticking again. How honest is that? She could have charged me for all three batteries, and I would have never even known. Wow! I also had some jewelry with me. Some needed fixing, and a few pieces needed an estimation to see if they were worth selling or repairing. This just shows that it's worth supporting small local businesses.
