I am the owner at Bargain Barn and would like to respond to the review by Lori F. I would first like to say, that no, you did not have " dealings" with me. I was not at the store when this took place either times, but I was however informed about both interactions with you. They informed me that your mother was very emotional, which is completely understandable, and that they tried to be as clear as they could that we do not accept stained items, but that neither of you were very accepting of our policies and were upset about it. As for Saturdays, we do not access accounts or take consignments, unless you have made an appointment earlier in the week. I did double check our phone message to be sure that this is clear to our customers and consigners. I did, however, feel that perhaps our message was too long and perhaps some were not listening to the whole message and shortened it considerably and feel it is straight to the point now, so there should be no confusion. Please understand that wen running a business we must have guidelines we must stick to. If we break our guidelines for one, it would not be fair to others. I apologize if you for any reason feel you were treated poorly. I was not there, I only know what my employees have told me, and what you have told me. Unfortunately, very different stories, but if you have the chance to meet me, I think you will know that I am all about GREAT customer service. I have stressed this repeatedly to my employees and believe they are trying their best. That is not to say everyone doesn't have a bad day and may find it hard to smile, but please keep in mind, we never know what someone is struggling with in their personal life. I keep that in mind when I, myself, am disrespected by a customer or consigner. Please feel free to contact me if you like. read more
