I guarantee this is an extremely unique experience for them, and they were absolutely not smart enough, not caring enough to be accommodating and inclusive. I even told the spray tan girl who was some younger 20s blonde girl from Florida who was dumb as rocks because I told her that I'm a pre-op trans woman, and she looked at me before and goes slay girl! Then proceeded to treat me like a man. This company did absolutely nothing but give me the runaround when I complained about it. They said they would talk to the company and see if they can change the verbiage on the website and in the training so that they know what a trans person is and a month later nothing has changed on their website and I doubt anything has happened behind the scenes except them seeing me as a crazy person when I'm simply just trying to get spray tan like every other woman and had a mortifying experience that no trans person should ever have to go through. I am a larger woman and her many many years of experience along with her speed made her the best. I found out she was let go (she opened her own studio now) and it has just reminded me how I could not believe i paid sugaring LA's price for so many years. They have started offering a membership which is just slightly less expensive but since i only go every 6-8 weeks it was not worth paying.
