We drove over an hour and were signed in quickly for our appointment. The mechanic Ron and his crew found the issue within 30 minutes. Everything afterwards was a downward spiral. The service clerk Karen (her real name) told us that the repair may not be covered by our warranty but would need to be checked. She suggested we go grab a bite to eat for about an hour and she might have an answer. We asked about a loaner vehicle (since we stayed over an hour and couldn't stay all day) and was told they didn't have any. We overheard Karen state that she didn't feel like dealing and calling the warranty people because they would put her on hold. We spoke with the service manager (his jacket had the name "Dad" embroidered on the left chest) who stated there was nothing they could do until they heard from the warranty company and it could take 1-4 days. The service manager suggested we take the truck home and "just try not to drive it too much". We pay a good penny for a newer vehicle with less than 54K miles just for it to keep overheating! The department couldn't even give us an estimate of what the out-of-pocket expense would be IF the warranty did not cover the repair! We were just totally lost and upset with the ending of this interaction. Luckily, Ron came out and topped off our coolant and we traveled home without overheating.
