For our Spring Break trip, our family made our reservation in January with Kappy's. (We chose…read moreKappy's, as local a FB group suggested them and we wanted to support those affected by the hurricanes.) For our 3 day rental, we paid $575. The initial golf cart that was delivered did not have seatbelts. We asked for a golf cart with seatbelts (we have small children) and were told by Brandy (the manager) that FL law for Boca Grande does not require seatbelts. They agreed to an exchange, and delivered a golf cart that was at least 25+ years old. PLEASE see attached picture. We frequently vacation and rent golf carts all over Florida and have NEVER had this type of experience. We have golf club memberships and have never seen golf carts this "vintage" in circulation. They are NOT pictured on their website. We strongly suggest other companies, as we paid MORE than other local vendors and received product that is EMBARRASSING to drive.

Fortunately, I recently met Venecia of Footprints in the Sand Shoe Gallery at a Chamber event. She carries the top fashion brands from Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, Israel, and Hawaii. Shoe brands she offers include Merrell, Avanti, Spring Step, Aetrex, Fantasy Sandals, Eric Michael, Italian Shoemakers, Island Slipper, Ethem, and Naot. Additionally, she has quality leather handbags, wallets, belts, and hats made from raffia and sea grass. Her prices are reasonable and her customer service is remarkable.

The outside…read moremay be a bit unassuming, but the inside of the store is clean, organized, and -- best of all -- has no overpowering fragrances or "thrift store" smells. The lighting was soft, there was no loud music, and the whole space felt calm and low-stimulation, which is rare for a kids resale shop. Prices are very fair (comparable to Once Upon a Child) and the quality is excellent. The owner hand-selects everything herself and washes all washable items, which really sets this shop apart. You can tell she's very selective because everything was clean, fresh, and in great condition. She does not buy items for cash like Once Upon a Child does. There's a large selection of books, puzzles, Montessori-style items, doll toys, kitchen/food toys, baby gear, clothing, shoes, and much more. I was also impressed to see such a large maternity section. There's a boutique-style area with like-new pieces including brands like Kate Quinn and Binky Bro. I found a couple of Hanna Andersson items as well. The owner was so kind and welcoming, even with my kids noisily playing while I shopped. It was a refreshing shopping experience and I highly recommend!

This is the second time and both times a woman named Lisa was working. However, she is not the Lisa that owns the store. She was very rude. She was on the phone both times and would not stop talking long enough to answer a quick question, much less serve the customers. At one point I overheard her discussing a customer that she didn't like. She was saying terrible things about this person too. What sales person would trash their customers? The owner needs to RE-evaluate her choice of staff. This ugly, rude woman should never work in customer service.
