So, in siesta key village it's the only good store providing visitors and residents on Siesta Key with what they want to enjoy the beautiful 8-mile beach and warm Gulf coast waters. Normally I collect magnets, shots glasses, and some frames and if anything local-then I go for that, like a tiki statue in this case. From beach mats, flops and sandals, chairs, umbrellas, beach towels, and sunscreen to sunglasses and trendy surf shorts, this well-stocked shop has a great range of clothing and equipment to choose from. and coming to souvenirs - it has all the range. They even had some salsa and chip samples. They are shown to have a coupon in the touristy maps and guides. One where you can use to actually get a discount on your ice cream. I ordered the dreamsicle which is the most popular, but I didn't have a chance to look at the sizes and after ordering realized that the lady, I just put me in for the regular size which was too much sugar for me. If it does, though she was kind of rushing me which I didn't love. Also, if you're wanting to use the coupon, you have to have your own copy and cut it out/rip it out. And it's also one per order. I also ordered the Keylime pie. I like the filling. It had a very much coconut flavor probably because they use more coconut milk, but their crust on it was not very good. The cream score was actually pretty good. It was a hot day so it melted pretty quickly, but I liked the orange thing that it had and balanced with the vanilla.

I came in to buy some shells and politely asked the clerk if she could wrap them in a little extra bubble wrap since we were heading on a trip to Las Vegas and needed to protect them. Her response was rude and dismissive, flat out refusing. The bubble wrap was sitting right in front of her, which made her attitude even more incomprehensible. These are delicate and expensive items, and such a complete lack of willingness to help leaves a very bad impression. I would love to recommend them based on their selection, but the service needs a major improvement.

I got a really nice beach towel for $14, a picture frame for $6, and a keychain for $4, plus some really nice postcards. The T-Shirt Hut's souvenirs were even cheaper than the souvenirs at Bailey's or Jerry's, and you would expect a grocery store would have cheaper souvenirs than a souvenir shop. If economy is your goal, I don't think you'll find more reasonably priced, quality souvenirs anywhere else but at the T-Shirt Hut. And this store was just fun to walk through. Plus, it's a great thing to do on a rainy day in Sanibel.

The store is a bit bigger than most shops and the better of the merchandise are the t-shirts and sweatshirts. They were of better design and quality without being too expensive. By better design, I mean the shirts were not cheesy or super touristy. It does not look like you got the shirt at a giveaway. The designs and cuts were just enough to say casual beach wear and if you wanted to stock up for gift giving it won't break the bank. There are shells to buy in the back of the store as well. Sand dollars were in good condition and they have a good variety of smaller colorful shells too. Good people working there as I was not pressured to buy something. The overall shopping experience was enjoyable. I would recommend checking it out!
