Island Bazaar Gift Shop:…read more Island Bazaar Gift Shop has a wide variety of souvenirs and gifts, making it a convenient stop for finding something to remember your trip by. The shop is well-organized, and there are plenty of unique items to choose from. Although they used to have pet gifts and none were found on this visit, in fact we bought nothing... Our group found the prices to be a bit steep, which made it difficult to justify purchases. Island Bazaar Gift Shop is okay to visit if you're in the area and looking for souvenirs, but there's definitely room for improvement in terms of pricing and items presented. It's decent but it didn't quite meet expectation

It exists it what can be rather accurately called a dead or dying strip mall. The location is a challenge but also a benefit. The RC, being a store in a dying mall, deserves attention. The RC, being in a dying mall, doesn't get any. The store carries a host of local gifts, t shirts and knick knacks. It doesn't carry items that you "need" per se, but things that would make fun purchases for yourself or others. I looked at a few things, for the location the prices seem fair. What I didn't see was anyone working there. If you are in the area, stop in and take a look. Just be reasonable with your expectations.

I was told there were no returns on bathing suits and they were final. I asked to speak to a manger and was told he was not there but would be there later around 6 PM. I left my name and phone # for the manager to call me and he never did. I grew up on the island and I live in Manatee county, I also own properties in Holmes Beach that I rent out. I will make sure that none of my renters visits this store due to the way they conduct there business. They lie and do not have the courtesy to return a call to a unhappy customer. I have three children and grandchildren and I know the store owners on the island as well and I will make sure they all know how poorly this location is ran. I also saw all the negative post on there site as well about the customer service and rudeness and being lied to. I would never recommend this store to anyone, stay away they do lie and are not customer friendly.

Some days the staff is friendly and inviting, while other days they are short with their answers to the point they are rude when speaking to you. Once on a recent visit, 3-4 employees were taking up so much space with racks to restock (buggies or rolling racks both in the aisles and walk ways), no one could get through. They didn't notice because they were talking about their plans after work. With a few attempts from me and other guests failing, I had to find a new path to my destination. This isn't a one off thing. It happens more times than not while visiting this store. As for cleanliness, it is about the same. Not talking about having rolling racks out for restock here. It looks as though no one is sweeping/vacuuming for weeks or longer when you see the dust and debris pilled up. Maybe I notice these things because the four year old that accompanies me enjoys picking up all the shiny things she can find. 10.06.2025
