My son (16 yrs old) and I went on the Atlantic/Gulf tour that goes around the island. Since my son was under age as far as Florida boating is concerned he had to pass a boating test. They helped him get through that so he could pilot his own jet ski. It was really cool how they went above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and laid back. My kind of people. We had a good group which allowed the guides to be more relaxed and us have more fun. There is no way I would rent from anyone else while in the Keys. Had a great time on the jet ski island tour with PJ! Both employees were extremely professional and followed all rules/regulations. The tour itself took you around the entire island and also allows ~20 minutes for some free riding. This is my second time to ride with the gang from Barefoot Billy's. We had a group of 18 that they split up and gave a great tour for all riding levels. You have a group leader and someone riding near the back to keep an eye on the group and make sure we were all safe. The jet skis are fast, and well taken care of. The tour takes you around the island, near the Navy base (watching fighter jets fly over), and even stop to give you 20 minutes to "tear it up" on your own. Super fun stuff. Just got off the boat from the dolphin tour and snorkeling. It was amazing!! Saw about 15 dolphins and a calf that just hung out with us for maybe 45 min. Snorkeling was gorgeous and the crew was phenomenal with my two kids who'd never snorkeled before. Even floated with my daughter who had a little panic attack ‍. Great day, full of fun! Had a blast! Bob and Warren were our guides and did a fantastic job. If you're a beginner rider or have children to ride around, Warren stayed at the back to make sure everyone was taken care of. I very much enjoyed the tour around the island. The guides were great about offering to take photos and the one guide happened to be a photographer and he got some great photos, so that really added to the trip. I think they could have provided some additional instruction as to how to better navigate what were fairly rough seas as I felt pretty clueless. We did the jet ski tour and had a blast. It was a little choppy-so the tour was modified due to the rough water in the Atlantic. Still a great time!! We were the only 2 jet skis (my husband/daughter on one and my daughter and I on the other) on the tour and the only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because I felt that the guide sometimes left me completely behind (my first time jet skiing, so a little slower). Several times I couldn't even see which way that he had went. A little scary, especially in the deeper water. Very glad that I didn't need help, because he wouldn't have been anywhere near to offer it. Still would recommend the tour-the guide was pleasant. read more

I was an unwilling participant in the jet ski adventure, but being a good sport, I went along for the run. I started with alot of appreciation, do you know there is no brake?! Warren and Roscoe gave us our JetSki101 and lead us out on our adventures. We traveled in single file as we saw all the beauty of Key West from the ocean view. Then it was time to play. Open play time consisted of doing donuts and running open throttle back and forth across the designated play place. I had so much fun, and at one point, I was airborne! Highly recommended tour guides were outstanding!! Because it's guided, don't let that make you feel like you're going to be going slow or be restricted, the jet skis go fast if you want too.
