Ordered some custom boots through these guys. Long story short... the boot company had terrible customer service and the boots took far longer than expected. Lindsey maintained communication with me the whole time to let me know every time she was trying to contact them for updates. Once the boots arrived, surprise surprise, they had something wrong with them. I called the store and after they went back and forth with the boot makers, they are going to get me another new pair. Even though the boot makers sucked throughout the process, the store (Lindsey most of the time) made sure they did whatever they could to help fix the shitty situation. read more

Great place for all seasons workwear stuff. TONS of Carhartt gear from shorts in the summer now, to full on rain/snow gear. They have other stuff like CAT and Dickies too. As well, a big selection of boots, work shoes and socks/inserts/etc. AND free keychains! I saved a good amount of money today too. Check them out and see what you think. And this is their winter shift time period, so keep that in mind when you're looking for something summer related, they can get it from another store if you ask and it's in stock of course. I also need to tell you of their in-house branded belt. If you're looking for a top quality brown leather belt, look no further. I posted pix here of it. It's their Barebones Workware branded belt, it's amazingly thick, high quality leather(I used to make leather goods with my family as a kid) AND made in the USA. It even came coated with the factory protective leather wax polish which is a huge sign of a top manufacturer that cares about quality that you just don't see a lot of anymore. I haven't in ages. They had sizes from 32 to 44, maybe longer but I'm not sure. Really, you can go a lot of places to find good leather goods in this area, but this is a testament to someone who wants to offer something different and high quality you just wouldn't find elsewhere. It would be nice to see a wider variety of this kind of thing in their store, but I'm happy with the belt. read more

I had the best possible experience at barebones today! Lindsay went extremely above and beyond to help me find the right boots from me. Not only did she help me find a better option when the boots I wanted turned out to be discontinued, she helped with price matching (which I did not know they did). What's more, when I made a comment about my old boots I had purchased in august being completely worn out, she was able to warranty them for me! When I finally found the boots I wanted, they had a messed up sole, so she replaced them with ones from the store free of charge. I honestly could not believe that she was willing to go so far to make my experience this good. Hands down this was by far the best shopping experience of my life, and I will absolutely be back to barebones. Thank you Lindsay! read more

The only place that has ever helped my feet feel good! I just purchased some insoles, and some boots, and their price was better than what I could find online! And the staff is awesome! My husband and I regularly shop at the Auburn, CA location of BareBones, and love it. But on New Years eve Michael went above and beyond what he had to, just to help me out. I needed to do a small return, and the sign on the door clearly stated that the store would be closing at 5:00pm, (but of course I was in my own little world and not paying attention). I walked in at 5:01pm and Michael greeted me with a smile and said, "Of course, I can help you with that!" Great selection of the Carhartt items - my only complaint is that there should be some sweat pants in addition to the sweatshirts. Also a nice array of medical scrubs, boots and other outdoor gear. Hubby likes those cargo shorts and they've got 'em there. Employees were very helpful read more

Went in for some Women Carhartt overalls to sadly find they do not carry one pair, only for men. How in the heart of redneckville are you not going to carry women wear??? only scrubs?!?! do women not get dirty around here? I understand its a small shop but come on. The guy at the counter tried his best but there is only so much he can do. He said he could order me some, however i told him i didnt know my size and needed to try one on...also that barebones doesnt even carry the purple color. So i decided if i had to take the risk in getting the wrong size i would at least like the color i want and bought them else were. The staff do get 5 stars though, they are friendly and do there best with what they are given. read more

Never have my very common sizes( Large in shirts or 36-32 in pants) constantly going in there only to walk out. Yes I know you can order it so can I. If I'm in a brick and mortar it's cause I need it now. I've spent a lot of money there over the years and have never had any difficulties returning items. Not the case now. I won't be going back and cannot recommend this place. Go to boot barn. read more

Do not shop here we have been customers for more than 10 years they sold us defective boots they shrunk when it rained one time told us it was our fault because we didn't oil them my husband tryed to buy oil from them that day they were out he said we should of went somewhere else wow really no one told us we had to oil them asked if we could exchange them not return them and they told us no it's our fault really my fault I'm a stay-at-home mom cannot afford just to go spend $200 on a pair of boots and just have a store say too bad it's your fault who does that what a horrible store we'll never shop there ever again disgusting! I love Barebones! This is definitely my favorite place to shop in Auburn. I love how local it is, and how friendly the staff is. With 3 brothers, I frequent this location a lot and have never been dissatisfied. The ladies who work there are always eager to help me and answer any and every question I have. The girl with glasses who is always working is usually the one to help me, and she makes me feel like family! I have never felt so welcomed at a business. It's not only the excellent customer service that keeps bringing me back, but the variety and quality of the products they sell. I am a huge fan of Carhartt workwear and I've always had an issue finding exactly what I need anywhere else. Barebones always has what I'm looking for and then some. They also have an amazing rewards system for people in their computer which I tend to use nearly every time I go in. I 100% recommend Barebones and I will continue shopping here! Had terrible customer service at auburn barebones will never go back to shop. Thank you Rocklin barebones youre awesome. I recieved a christmas present a carhartt vest from barebones, it was too small and i needed to exchange it. We had the reciept and it was purchased under my rewards number. When it was purchased there were no tags. I called to confirm they were open today and to ask if i could exchange as long as i had the reciept but it didnt come with tags. They told me no, that it would be noted in the system if there were no tags at the time of purchase, because with no tags it could not be proven that i had purchased it there even though i had the reciept, and that i had to contact carhartt to have them re produce tags and send them to me so i could return it. BS i contacted carhartt and they said that was false that they dont do that because it didnt come directly from them and that it needed to be returned to the store directly. So i said whatever and my bf then called, The gentleman on the other side told my bf the same thing saying he had already looked up my reciept info when it was never given to him over the phone and he remembered my bf buying it and informing him to get me the wrong size but still refusing to return it with a reciept. There whole excuse was they couldnt prove he purchased it there even though the worker admitted he remebered. I then called rocklin barebones and told them what was going on i had a receipt and it never came with tags they told me to come on down and they would swap it out with no problem so i took it straight down there and they exchanged it with no problem. I will never shop at auburn Barebones again with there poor customer service. read more
