Or some places only used soft wax-- which I'm not a huge fan of when it comes to getting a brazilian. Well, Alyssa was one of the few people that reached out to me. She also told me how she was still closed (i had gotten confused and thought she was open) but would text me if she would reopen soon. FINALLY, it was announced that body waxing was able to open up and she messaged me if I would like to book! Ofc I took the chance and I don't regret it! Alyssa is pretty cool and the appointment went smooth. Took her time but it felt quick! Her room is cute and comfy. When I first starting…read moreseeing her I came in with completely thin, over arched, over plucked brows because I had become frustrated with going to other places (beauty bars, nail salons, threading places) who would always destroy my eyebrows and ironically say "your eyebrows are so thin!" Imagine that. Chelsey literally saved my brows. She is so meticulous and careful so they always come out great. The first time I got them done by her she left small spaces where my eyebrows could grow in. After the next few sessions, eyebrow hairs had filled in and eventually I regained my shape. I can literally follow the progression in photos as they improved! I don't feel like I have to fill my eyebrows all the time like I used to, and its all because of her. I'm so grateful. Depending on the style of waxing studio you choose, some opt for hot wax with strips, some for hard wax that gets ripped off, some a combination depending on services. Hygiene and sterility are important, especially with not using the same stick, used to procure wax, twice. So many factors! Regardless of wax type, the most important component is obviously the skills of the aesthetician. I am so happy that I found Chelsea! She is professional and thorough. The task was not simple... In the past, 8 weeks of growth could equal increased pain and increased length of time. Chelsea is very skilled, using a combination of waxes for the Brazilian including hot wax with strips for all but the sensitive areas. For the prime sensitive area, she used hard wax and created a handle out of the wax, to avoid picking the wax off piecemeal. This is one of the risks you could take with a less trained aesthetician, as well as repeated waxing over the same area multiple times.Thankfully, Chelsea did not do either of these things. Perhaps she waxed the same area twice total? It didn't hurt nearly as much as it should have given the amount of hair. She coached me on when to take breaths to minimize pain and she was fast! It only took approximately 30 minutes to do a Brazilian and eyebrows. As she said, "no one wants a slow Brazilian." So true, Chelsea! So true! Fast is not always best if there is any sacrifice to patient comfort, but again Chelsea ensured this was NOT the case. She was clear with her instructions and I was comfortable. She was absolutely hygienic, reminding me (the nurse who started to do this prior to her advisory) not to touch the skin where she waxed to reduce risk for infection/transfer of oil. She also educated me and offered tips for exfoliation. Read through other reviews about her skills with eyebrows. She shaped and fixed my Bert (from Sesame Street) eyebrow into two happy arches. She is so professional yet friendly and makes sure you are comfortable throughout your service. Her packages are amazing and she's very great about scheduling appointments and making sure that you are scheduled for your appointments at the right time. She just changed locations but it's very easy to get to and there's even a waiting room with a coffee machine. I can't recommend her enough because she is just so great. Also if you haven't tried Sugaring before, yes it can hurt depending on your pain tolerance but it's nothing crazier than waxing or any other kind of hair removal people typically do. The only uncomfortable part is really feeling a little sticky throughout your process but Linh Is really good about making sure you are cleaned up between the individual services you are doing and your session and at the end before you walk out the door. She does additional services like facials but I can't speak to that as I specifically go to her for sugaring. If you haven't been to her before, give her a text. She's very prompt at responding and will make sure you're booked for all the right services.

I have really been satisfied with the difference in how much less dark coarse facial hair I have now. Her electrolysis has softened and lightened up my facial hair.
