I have gotten facials from other estheticians in the area and I feel like they do not give the same care as Nicole because they would give me a very generic cookie cutter treatment and service that they use for every client. I used a Living Social Facial and chose an added peel (like an upgrade). I'd be interested to return to Nicole. Very minor complaint, only reason not 5 starts: the ambiance: I could hear the neighbor conduct her business quite loudly and it distracted me once or twice during the facial. It's been over a month since i have called, left a voicemail, and sent a text with no replies to either, My mom even went in person to set an appointment and nobody was there to help, a lady in a neighboring room told her that the spa has it's moments when the owner does NOT show up because she is busy with her kids! I have been a loyalist to Nicole since she used to take care of me at Facelogic in Tustin. That location is about 7 minutes away from where I live. When I found out she was going to open her own business, I just had to follow her. I now go to her new location which is in Fullerton, now a 30-minute drive. Yes. Usually that drive would sway me from going to her. But she is worth it. She really cares about skin care. I have been battling melasma (aka hyper-pigmentation) as well as dry, tired and dull skin. I would see her at once a month, sometimes twice for these issues. She always personalized every treatment very specifically to what my skin condition was at the time. My skin is in pretty good shape at 42, but I have noticed my melasma spots breaking up and fading, which is a small triumph (they are so stubborn to get rid of!) Icing on the cake? - She does a hand, arm, neck massage, usually while a mask is resting. It is awesome. But the "winner, winner, chicken dinner" is her face massage. So good. -She doesn't try to "sell" things to you. Such a turn-off to me, so it was refreshing for her not to push products. She uses Image and Eminence so all good stuff. Again. I reiterate. Where do I begin, I am forced to give 1 star but this place doesn't deserve even 1. I booked 2 appointments with Nicole on May 2nd, she confirmed them for Saturday May 26th at 9:15 & 10:15am. The place was a little hard to find since I don't shop in this particular shopping center too often, but Nicole replied promptly to my text to let me know where exactly she was located - a spa suite, what a great idea! First impression: the room's ambiance was on point. Music played lightly in the background, and the room was dimly lit. I was relaxed, and Nicole made me feel very welcomed and at ease. She thoroughly explained all of the procedures and products. She also offered me a few add-ons with no obligation to upgrade. I did the Vitamin C peel, which she explained would rejuvenate my skin. I purchased a Groupon for a facial. I texted the number and was able to get a Saturday appointment 5 weeks out. Not surprising since I'm sure there is a high demand for weekends. Unfortunately I had to reschedule my appointment 5 days before due to medical reasons. I texted and was able to reschedule for a Saturday 4 weeks out. I texted 3 days before just to make sure I was confirmed. I didn't receive a response. I tried several more times and left a voice mail. Finally the day before I came on Yelp and saw a few reviews about it being hard to contact anyone. I was growing worried and wasn't sure if I should show up or not. I found Nicole had responded to another review with a different number and decided to try that one. I got a response from that number late the night before saying I was confirmed for my appointment. When I arrived to my appointment Nicole was apologetic and explained she hadn't been getting messages on her work phone. The service itself was great. It is a small suite (room) located in a building with other beauty related services. The room was cozy, clean and relaxing. I was concerned about the noise level, but it wasn't a problem at all. Nicole was very knowledgeable and explained every step of the process and answered my questions. She included a light shoulder and scalp massage. She explained available upgrades and I ended up paying extra for a Tea Tree mask, but overall I feel it was a good deal with the Groupon. This is a very late review as it has been 6 months since I had my first facial with Nicole. With all of the wedding preparations I was doing, I realized I still had not booked my facial for the week of my wedding. I was busy looking all over yelp for an appointment, but many places were booked as it was the week of my wedding and I needed to leave out of town two days before my destination wedding.
