I was going to take off a star due to my food having hair embedded in the cheese on my turkey burger. The staff was so attentive to make me another burger with a quickness and they're so kind to remove it from my tab. I appreciate them for resolving that issue and making that experience not as bad. Those white sweet potato fries were delicious! I must find those to make some at home. The massage treatment itself was amazing and very rejuvenating. I just need to restate that again, and I appreciate my masseuse telling me to stay hydrated for the rest of the day because I felt the result the next morning only a little bit. I didn't have too bad of muscle cramps the next day. The entire sounds were beautiful and it was calming to view. Especially seeing bunnies hop around and even a lizard crawl by. It seems like it has many caveats from places that accept it. You can only use it for full-peice services, and you can't book a package of services or seasonal specials. The shop was comfortable and very hippie inside. A bit too many chotchkies for sale inside, but retail is necessary , I realize. The music was a little too crazy and loud for me. Everyone was very nice, and though you can purchase a membership, I loved that it was very low pressure. It actually seems like a good deal that your services can be rolled forward, and can be combined for a larger service. I'm just not a subscription person. I booked an hour massage and a facial. The facial was very thorough and relaxing. The massage was also great, but ended really quickly. When I got dressed and walked to the desk, the gal apologized, as she didn't realize that I had booked an hour. She said I could go back in and get another 30 minutes, but I was already put back together. No thanks. As I checked out, I was also given a cute little facial gift bag, with a nice smelling cleanser, toner and moisturizer. Nice touch. I had a decent service. I'm on the fence about this place. What truly stood out was the amazing staff. Kathleen at the front desk kindly helped check my boyfriend in early when my flight was delayed by five hours and the reservation was under my name. We also had a fantastic meal at Terras with Yolanda (highly recommend the Eggplant) and had a blast doing the high ropes course with Abe. The biggest thank you goes to Yessica in housekeeping. On the morning of checkout I unknowingly lost a one-carat diamond earring that even though was insured, I was devastated to have lost. I didn't realize it wasn't in my ear until I was almost at the airport and promptly called the resort. Yessica immediately organized a search, and although it wasn't in our bathroom as I originally thought, her team eventually located it elsewhere on the property near the restaurant/lobby. I am incredibly grateful to Yessica and the CIVANA team for going above and beyond to return something so meaningful. I will absolutely recommend this resort to everyone I know.
