I was so impressed with her wealth of knowledge of the inner workings of the human body, her warm and welcoming personality, as well as her expert lymphatic drainage massage skills. I searched for a massage therapist on Yelp who was skilled with body work. I am a runner and I need more than a relaxing spa massage, I need someone who knows anatomy and can focus on problem areas like IT bands etc. JoAnn is very skilled and she provides a personalized massage experience based on your needs. She has been able to loosen up my tight leg muscles and I have had good results with the different approaches she incorporates from deep tissue to light and energizing. Some massage therapists fall into a habit of giving every client the "same routine" regardless of what is tight or aching. JoAnn can feel what is too tight and adjust to spend time on these areas if that is what you want. I have gone three times so far for 90 minute sessions and it has definitely helped my running to get this type of results oriented massage. There is plenty of parking in the complex where she is located. At first it is hard to find the exact office suite because the building clusters are spread out, but in general it is a very convenient central Phoenix location. JoAnn is a very gifted therapist and uses a gentle and effective touch to resolve sore muscles and pain. The first time she did a cranial sacral session, I had such a tight calf muscle due to overplaying sports (sand volleyball). I felt instant relief and was playing again in 2 days. The best massage I have ever had! I asked for a customized massage and Joanne talked to me first, asked all kinds of questions, and then gave me her suggestions. I had an aromatherapy massage as well as the lymphatic drainage. Amazing!!!! She started with the lymphatic drainage that just about put me to sleep. She has a very gentle and relaxing touch. The aromatherapy massage was awesome. I then scheduled another appointment for reflexology.and a Chakra opening session, again just amazing. Joanne explained everything she did and why she was doing it. She is extremely knowledgeable in her field. I would highly recommend her to anyone.
