My friend and I were 6 minutes late to our appt. with Janie due to traffic. Which was totally our bad, (but also out of our control) We tried calling her as soon as we hit traffic to let her know that we would be a few minutes late, and she didn't answer. When we got there, she said she didn't get our call and that she only had time to wax one of us, which didn't make a whole lot of sense because my appt. was a 4 and my friends was at 4:20, and she said that she had an appt. coming in at 4:30. So if she has 10 minute appts then she should have had time to wax us both?? I understand that because we were late, and she has a very tight schedule that we were cutting it close, but I was not impressed at all with how she handled the situation. She was very unprofessional and unaccommodating in her approach. She may be good at waxing, but after talking with her for a few minutes, there was no way that I felt comfortable enough to drop my pants in front of her. We drove 40 minutes, and left work early, and she didn't offer us even an apology. I'm disappointed because I had heard good things and was really looking forward to becoming a loyal customer, but unfortunately I wouldn't ever consider going back because of the way she handled the situation: "Awkward that you guys drove all the way up here." read more

I just got a full body wax and it was an amazing experience. I showed up a bit early and she was ready & welcoming. No double dipping sticks in the wax, no bare hands (wore gloves at all times), super clean studio, and almost no pain (compared to my previous wax!). She kept checking with me about the temperature of the wax and explained things as she worked. Very detailed (used tweezers) even though I'm not that picky about small pieces of hair that are too short to be waxed. Also, I know the price was too low for that. She had very fair prices and are almost not comparable in the area (I know because I've been looking around & I'm a student). Overall, very satisfied customer and I will recommend them to my best friends ;) read more

Terrible service. Would never recommend. Never going back. Waste of money. My friend had never had a wax before so she used numbing cream because she was really nervous about the pain from a bikini wax. There was no receptionist, so we waited to ask Janie where the restroom was, her reply was "why didn't you use it while you were waiting". My friend went back to get waxed, and none of her hair was coming out and blamed the numbing cream. She has very deep roots and it would be more time consuming. She told us she was leaving for vacation and book 3 days worth of appointments in one day, so she didn't have time for her to wash off the cream to try to rewax. She went to another waxing place and had no issues. Ironically they put their own waxing cream on her. When I went back for a wax, she left two huge strips of hair on the underside of my pum, so it looked like she waxed everything. She said I had a little patch and continued to wax, making it seem like she was able to get the rest. When I called Janie to ask her about it, she just came back with more excuses. She was definitely afraid to get up in there and wax all the hair. Was soooo rude and unprofessional. No wavier. No receptionist. Overbooking. No waxing after kit. Go somewhere else! read more

I Went for a bikini wax (never enjoyable huh?) but Andrea was very welcoming and very friendly. I am not a big fan of the wax itself (too sticky, not very smooth) but she was very professional and took time to do the job right! This place also has the best prices for the job so far in SLC. I was sadly disappointed with Bare Body wax Services. First, I was unaware that they use the blue gel wax and not the strips, so this was a surprise when I got there. That was my fault for not asking ahead of time, but hey, I am always good to try new things, so I stuck with it. It was unbelievably painful. I had had several waxes done throughout my life but I have never before experienced this much pain, I had to grab onto the table to keep from jumping off the table. I felt that services were rushed. After I got home, my sweet husband pointed out that I still had long hair where there should have now been no hair on my bottom. I have never had anyone miss this before either. I started to see new growth just 4 days after my wax. I have never ever seen this before. It has now been one week and I have enough growth to shave, likely by week 2 I will need another wax. Highly disappointed, I gave this place a try because of Groupon and likely will never go back. read more
