I'm giving it two stars because the girl who did my eyebrows had an AMAZING personality but as far as why they are waxing place I must say not impressed. They basically just cleaned up the bottom and looked like the top was never touch. Eyebrows just didn't look cleaned up nor shaped. I understand the vivid restrictions, but I tried calling 4 times to make an appointment and even came down here after the failed phone attempts. When I arrived, I was hoping for a walk-in appointment, but their door sign says they only take appointments. I called, and they didn't answer, so I was a little disappointed; however, as soon as I sat my phone down, I got a text from them asking me what I wanted and when I wanted to schedule. I told them, and they set me up for an appointment within 30 minutes. I was stoked! I had never gotten my eye brows tinted, and Kayla was SO awesome. First time getting a spray tan. I went the darkest, to ensure it would look good for my vacation. I was told of after care instructions not anticipating the majority of my tan to wash off after the first rinse. I now have tan feet, white spots all over my legs, my tan looks horrible. Kaysha was so nice and understanding! I made an appointment at 1pm for my cousin and I. I asked if it's okay if my cousin was a little late she said it'll be okay since Brazilian Wax and facial wax will take more than 15-20 minutes. Which only took 17 minutes! Totally fast! I have been in two times to get a Brazilian wax and it has been nearly painless. They use soft wax with strips which I had always heard was more painful, but it barely hurts at all! The prices are very reasonable and their new salon is cute, clean, and in a good location. Sometimes getting waxed can be awkward and uncomfortable, but Jami is so quick and friendly that I actually don't mind doing it now! I definitely recommend going to His & Hers Waxing! read more

From my past experiences, I was leery to start waxing again at all. After multiple friends referred me to Madi at the Wax Institute I decided I would give it another shot. I am SO glad I did! Madi is fantastic. She is professional, quick, and thorough. I am in, out, and rescheduled in 15 minutes. She is always punctual and pleasant. She makes you forget you are even getting waxed. My work schedule is hectic and only in Salt Lake sporadically. When I am, I get waxed. My regular waxer had a family emergency so I had to go to someone else. I was looking for a new wax girl anyways because my old one is a new mommy, so in emergencies I want another regular waxer. I tried His and Hers waxing and it was OVER PRICED. Charged me $50 for a ROUTINE brazillian?! And there really wasn't a lot of hair to wax at all. Routine waxes are typically $25-$30 (less time, less hair, less materials used) but she had a flat rate. In addition, she used soft wax for the whole thing which is surprising. Hard wax is typically used for the sensitive soft areas because it only pulls hair. Soft wax pulls skin and hair and puts u at risk for getting tiger marks on your labia. So basically home girl pulled the hell out of my skin on my labia with her soft wax, and she was on automatic mode the entire visit. The upside is the owner is pretty upbeat and fun to talk to. I don't know what all these positive reviews are raving about. Don't be fooled by the front line service, but the quality of the job. read more

Pretty good experience, overall (no complaints, really). They were highly responsive via text. Customer service at the front desk could be better. We checked in 20 minutes early (hoping we could be seen earlier, especially if someone "no-showed"), but as we checked in, the other customer arrived. She greeted him, and basically ignored me as I stood at the front desk while she asked him to sign him; they both walked back after and I stood there feeling shafted. Twenty minutes later, we checked back in (at our scheduled time), and I have to say--the wax experience was great! Attention to detail is always a plus for me, and I appreciate that a tweezers was used as well to get the leftover hair. After we checked out, she turned to the next customer and thanked him for waiting "patiently." I'm not sure how long the next customer waited, but we weren't thanked for being "patient." LOL! She seemed much nicer to men. I do appreciate the Yelp coupon and we'll be returning. Bad customer service is a pet peeve of mine. We'll see how long I can withstand this type of treatment (I'm hopeful this is the exception rather than the norm at His & Hers Waxing). read more
