The ingredients are incredibly fresh and you get the option of splitting your pizza into two different flavours if you're finding it difficult to choose between their many options. I believe I split their large pizza into the mushroom and prosciutto. Bought a frozen cherry pie and baked it at home. What a complete disappointment, the crumble top was WAY thicker than the single layer of cherries in the pie. It should have just been called "crumble top pie" I will say, the Sunday brunch is quite good and so is the pie they serve at this brunch. read more

This is by far, the best place to eat in Guelph. The atmosphere is casual and fancy at the same time, so it's a great place to go with friends or on a date. Either way, you won't be disappointed. You can close your eyes, point to something on the menu, order it, and it will be phenomenal. I've had fish, grilled cheese, mac and cheese, and the quinoa burger, all of which were spectacular. The mac and cheese especially really hits a good place. I've had about 4 different kinds of their pizza as well and it has all been superb. Yes, it is on the pricey side, but it is WELL worth it. Also worth noting that the service is slow but again, it is more than worth it for the unbelievably good food at this place. My mom and I decided to visit Earth to Table for lunch while we were in Guelph. I have heard really great reviews from friends who have eaten there, and I was excited to give it a try. The menu is definitely more unique and would be suitable for diners who are looking for something a bit out of the ordinary. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience. The waitress was very friendly, the service was fast (considering that the place was packed) and the bread was really excellent. That being said, my mother and I were underwhelmed with our meals - they were okay, but were a little pricey and did not live up to the rave reviews I have heard from others. I might try Earth to Table again if I lived in Guelph, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. read more

Wow!!! Amazing pizza "Vampire Slayer" - simple, tasty and just plain fantastic. Perfect balance of flavors and textures. The crust is my perfect ideal: soft inside, slightly crispy outside, perfect flavors. The "Crispy Brussels Sprouts" are one of my favorite dishes anywhere and these tied for the top spot - the umami sauce kicks them up to pure perfection. The brownie is indescribably satisfying - ... ... ... ... ... ... ... Just get it. There was a minor glitch with one of the food items and the service handled it beautifully. Since moving to Guelph in March 2020, we have tried to support this restaurant visiting at least once if not twice a week. The food has been good but the service and environment has usually made the experience something better than good, at least in terms of operating in the covid world. This evening, however, after our evening walk we dropped in to have an evening dessert. The greeting party was abrasive once we explained that we didnt have a reservation. We asked if we could be seated inside and we were advised that we could BUT that "we must wear a mask while seated at our table UNLESS we were actually eating or drinking". I asked the hostess to clarify since I eat at restaurants around the country and have never encountered such a subjective and seemingly random measure. One of the greeters, who eventually identified herself as a manager, emphatically declared "its the law"... We left and won't be back. I get tested weekly and take Covid measures seriously. These type of unsupported overreaching implementations only serve to fracture our society. read more

I'm a fan of the Hamilton location, but I've only ever ordered various pizzas and mac & cheese from their menu. So when I visited this location with a friend, I decided I wanted to try a sandwich. I went for the bacon and apple grilled cheese, which was good (how could it not be?) - but what really made it special was the homemade bread. Crusty but light on the inside, it was probably some of the best bread I've ever had. And the side salad was so good it actually competed with the sandwich. I revisited Guelph after a few years away and was pleasantly surprised to see a new selection of restaurants near campus. I sat down with a friend to have a beer and try out some of their pizzas. I was impressed by the efficient service at the door and the pleasant conversation offered by the bartender. I took in a local beer from Royal City Brewing and it went very well with the Apple Bacon pizza that I tried. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone in the area. As this place is fairly unique in the city, I suggest that those wanting to check it out eat a little snack first. The wait for a table can be pretty long on the weekends. My boyfriend and I headed here for dinner after a long day. Looking at the two reviews this new restaurant had I was a bit skeptical going into this experience. One bad review, one great review.... We did not know what to expect. We started off with a couple of drinks, my boyfriend had a beer and I had the Pommies cider. Given the fact that we had recently played a 90 minute soccer game beforehand I was really looking for a refreshing drink. Pommies cider fulfilled that splendidly for me. It was a nice, cool start to my meal, which was perfect. We also ordered the calamari as a starter before our meals to split. The calamari was well seasoned and it was well cooked. Half of the bowl was smothered in mayo, however, and since I'm not a fan of mayo I was a bit displeased by the fact that it was not served on the side, which is what I was expecting. For my main meal I had the Quinoa Superstar Burger that came with guacamole, red pepper aioli (which came on the side), and arugula. The burger was flavourful and the combination of arugula and guacamole especially came together well. The dish also came with a side of fries, which were also seasoned well and were a nice addition to my meal. The night finished off with my boyfriend and I splitting a vanilla cheesecake with seasonal syrup that was comprised of strawberry and lime, paired with real whipped cream. This dessert was nothing short of exceptional. The only downside to this restaurant was that it took quite a while to receive our food, and when the server brought out our cheesecake she did not bring forks for us to eat with; we had to resort to unrolling two more sets of cutlery that were placed on our table at the beginning of the night (kind of strange seeing as there were only two of us dining out and not a party of four). First visit on Sunday Aug 2 to the Guelph location. Restaurant was not busy, we sat outside on the patio which was lovely. Server brought warm water to the table. We ordered pizza, grilled cheese and an appetizer. Unfortunately we never tasted any of the food since it never came to the table. We had to get the servers attention as to where the food was which she assured us it was coming, and we had to ask for more water. Three tables came in after us which all had received their food. We waited for 50 minutes and walked out. Very disappointed with the service, we were looking so forward to trying this restaurant. read more
