I went in to look at my options for a reliable and 'pretty' street bike with a few trimmings like baby seat, bike lock, helmet x 2 (one for the little one too) and a basket. I came out with an 'eco' bike with all the trimmings I wanted at a price just above what I expected to pay. Sherryn helped me out no end and I felt like I made a new friend. She was not salesy at all and knew her stuff, answering all my questions - and there were many. She was also very patient with my 10 month old daughter who was grizzly after a big day out and didn't want to try on heavy helmets. She was also patient with me as I took forever to decide between the pink and the green striped number (a gals gotta match her bike!) Sherryn organized for the team to fix the baby seat, basket and stand as well as deliver to my home free of charge within a few days of my store visit. Will, the ultra friendly Scottish lad who delivered my bike also showed me how to take the baby seat on and off. I can not recommend the women's Clarence Street Cyclery enough. P.S. the Eco Trek bike is made from recycled, locally or sustainably sourced materials and it is very nice to ride indeed.

I have been looking for a basket although now that my front tyre has punctured getting that fixed should be my priority. Anyway Cheeky Bikes has great baskets and their prices are really reasonable (I can get exactly what I need for $25 and it is a steel mesh basket). They also have some clever innovative items like a takeout basket, which comes with an insulated cooler bag all for $90 (very reasonable). Also Cheeky Transport offers hand built bikes made by the store's owner, they look great, if you are a serious cyclist or want a really stylish bike, they are an excellent option. And they sell a whole range of cargo bikes. The shop has all the bike accessories one could want and the staff are friendly and helpful, this may be the best bike shop I've seen yet.

Centennial Park Cycles offer people a wonderful opportunity to get back on a bike and enjoy... For those wanting to enjoy Centenial park, they actually have bikes to hire on the grounds. They are of good quality and there are different styles and sizes depending on your requirements. Bikes cost between $15 - $35 an hour.... and if you're feeling a little daggy why not get the Tandem bike ($25 and hour) or a 2 person pedal car ($35 an hour)

The provide helmets and rechargeable lights. The location is easy to get to and centrally located. The first day is expensive but long term rentals are very cheap. The process to buy and book my ticket was really easy via their website, and the cost is reasonable considering the time and the entertainment value of the experience. They provide blue helmets for safety, and the best part?? THEIR BIKES!! Being from a bike heavy city, I was prepared to do some work cycling around Sydney. But BB has these fantastic bikes that are electric. They are battery powered but respond to the power and effort of the rider him/herself. You have to pedal to move, but it does make going up hills much easier and not leave you as a sweaty mess. They explain everything and review safety prior to your ride, but it makes it really easy to enjoy the trip. The only hazards really are the pedestrians! You go through some heavy walking areas so be aware and careful. Occasionally you'll hear pedestrians complain, and my response is "just because you're walking doesn't mean you can be an asshole". As far as I was concerned, we got off and walked our bikes in the areas it made sense, and rode them where it was safe or clearly marked for bikes. BB makes every effort to fit in their city, and also maintain the safety of their riders. Awesome awesome tour and I HIGHLY recommend them!!

Wanting to ensure the bike was in good roadworthy condition, they booked it into Wooly's for a going over...check all the bits and bobs to make sure it was good to go. Paid almost $100 AUD for the service and was assured everything had been checked and attended to. Imagine the surprise on day 2 when the front wheel almost detached from the bike whilst cycling... Shoddy "workmanship" 10/10 would NOT recommend this business to anyone

The shop is not near where I live but I would head back there if I cannot find what I need for my bike close to home in the future.
