I received service via Allstate last friday and was helped by a driver who was a bit rude and unhelpful. I didnt get their name but he was wearing a black hat to the side. He claimed there wasn't enough space to back my car into the driveway although it seemed there was. He didn't bother trying and then became short tempered for no reason. Not sure what his deal was. If you need someone to trust in getting your car towed on a stormy day DO NOT count on Barcelos Towing Services. I have AAA insurance and requested a tow truck for my car that left me stranded. My car's electrical systems suddenly stopped working and I was not able to roll my windows up. I managed to pull over and called for a tow. I specifically explained to them that I was at risk of getting rain in my car since my window didn't roll up and the weather was cloudy with chance of rain. I had my windows down for fresh air and didn't plan to keep them down when the rain would come. Barcelos notified me that their ETA was 30 minutes. I told them ok and to please hurry because I was stuck with my windows down in the rain. An hour later, no message from them, no follow up or updated ETA, and no notification about them being able to help or not. 20 minutes later I get a call from AAA that Barcelos Towing Services decided not to help after all. Barcelos Towing Services left me out in the rain and couldn't at least message me that they changed their mind or were no longer available to help. No empathy, common courtesy or communication with customers. I honestly don't know how they have 4.8 star rating, I suspect many of those are fake reviews. Anyways, be careful when trusting this business, they can't even proactively communicate with customers, I doubt they care about customer satisfaction. read more

Was fortunate to use Barcelo's towing yesterday! I was called right away after calling AAA from their office. I was told that the driver Frank would be there right after his current drop off. Sure enough Frank came to the rescue and gave me a tow to a local tire place to fix a flat. When business was unable to perform at that exact time despite what they told me, Frank called up another local tire spot and got me over there in the nick of time. They were able to fix my flat and got me home safe to my family. I will be using this business again and highly recommend them due to their customer service and awesome work! read more

100% recommend! Barcelos towing was sent to help through my AAA after getting a flat. The driver (Mike, I think), was fantastic. Not only extremely friendly and personable... but definitely went out of his way to make sure I was taken care of before leaving. He towed and dropped me off at Costco, to have my tire repaired/replaced... helped me secure a parking spot (nor easy on a Saturday morning and took roughly 20+ minutes), waited until I could check in, and helped the other driver that gave me his parking spot by filling his tires with nitrogen (since the spots at the Costco air were all taken). I don't post often, unless a super negative experience... but Mike was so great I had to give him that recognition! Totally turned around what I thought would be a horrible weekend. My car would not start. I called my insurance company who set up an appointment to have it towed. Although the tow was an hour late, I am glad I worked with Barcellos. The driver, Frank, was friendly and very helpful. He finessed my car out of the garage and loaded it onto his flatbed. The tie downs on the truck are non-metallic as advertised. Frank was easy to talk with and knowledgeable of tows and issues that can arise. He was able to safely move my car to the repair shop. I only wish Allstate knew what customer service is and is not. TEAM FELIX!! We had our alternator go out in our car around 9:00 PM last night in East San Jose on our way home from Morgan Hill to Dixon after visiting family. We had my 93 year old mother with us. The tow truck could hold at the max 3 people including the driver and there were 3 of us total, which I had explained to the AAA operator when I call in for service, but she was unsure how that would all play out. As we were trying to figure out how to get everyone home safely when the tow truck driver (Felix) had arrived. He had acknowledged us and then immediately got on his phone. Seeing that we had my elderly mother along with my husband and myself, Felix took it upon himself to contact his boss or AAA (unsure which) to get approval to call a Lyft for us to help get us home safely and comfortably. Felix went above and beyond to help take care of us last night. He took an unfortunate situation and really turned it around for us. This towing company is owned by an amazing family. I was in a hit and run accident and this family witnessed the incident. They helped me get out of an intersection, towed me to safety, helped me get the license plate of the vehicle that hit me, and called 911. They stayed with me and supported me until the police came to take down a report. Afterwards, they gave me a tow to my residence. If you ever need a tow, this is the company to use.
