The worst experience I have ever had!! Registration was not on site as this is a property management company. When we got to the apartment. It was a basement unit that smelled like both garbage and stale smoke Concrete walls, burnt out lights, but worst of all you could not get into the bathroom fully unless you walked into the shower to close the bathroom door. We immediately called the management company to see if they could help us and they did not return any phone calls even though they said they would call us right back. We left the property immediately and went elsewhere. Never to hear from them again do not use this company!!! read more

This is the worst place I have ever experienced in my life. It was so dirty, dark and dungeon Lake, as it is underground, that my wife and I could only stay in there for about 15 minutes and then we had to leave to find a completely separate place to stay last minute. Also only about half of the lights worked. It was so dim you could barely see your clothing in a suitcase Avoid this place at all cost. The management team also was horrible about giving us a refund so we had to fight it through the credit card company. read more

there's roaches. lots of them. we came home one night and found roaches all over our shoes. it's not like we left food all over either. we never ate here. there's a roach (picture attached) in a clean sink. there's a roach in our bathroom (picture attached). i'd take more but they sure move fast when you turn the lights on. hot water didn't work during our stay here. and to cap it all off, we never got out $400 deposit back (it's been a month since here). we have videos of the conditions of the house before and after (very clean in both). Recently our family of 6 had the displeasure of renting for a week over New Years a flat in the Roger de Flor 70, and it was easily the worst experience we've ever had anywhere ever. Miraculously their VRBO profile retains a 4.5 / 5 which in and of itself may ward me off from further VRBOs. While the location worked, the building, its upkeep and our neighbors were all far less than desirable. The doors to and within our space all loudly scrapped the ground with each use; I'm not exaggerating, like a spirited horse whinnying. The design plain sucked with shitty seals on sliding doors so the below neighbors all hours pot smoking wafted directly into our space. And the fucking. Paper thin walls. You hear everything. Before you dismiss the above, let me add: we hail from New Orleans. We know and respect the party mentality and lifestyle. We also know and respect dysfunction. That said, there are limits, and they were breached. As for our deposit? No idea, but based upon these other reviews, sounds unlikely. Since I posted my original review 6 years ago, a year does not go by that I haven't been contacted by somebody lamenting over the fact they had not seen my review before they booked with My Space Barcelona and asking if I ever resolved the situation with them. Unfortunately my response is always the same, there is never a resolution obtained. Unfortunately legal costs exceed the amount of the deposit and my space Barcelona just ghosted me. This was the WORST rental I have ever stayed at in my entire life. I only wish I took the time to look up their reviews on yelp before I booked with this company. We had dust everywhere, hair everywhere, found mold in the upstairs bathroom and some sort of sticky crud in the downstairs bathroom. We also found the apartment was infested with ants and fleas. Unfortunately the way we found the fleas was I felt something bite me while I was in bed and when I pulled the cover off, a flea started jumping around. After that, and a closer look, I found additional fleas jumping around on the floor under the bed, on the couch and under the dining room table. We called the front office frantic to get help and were told that the maintenance was gone for the day so there was nothing they could do until tomorrow. Call me crazy, but I didn't want to stay overnight in a place infested by fleas and ants. So we checked out and went to a hotel. It took them over a week to respond to us and then all they could say was they found no bugs or anything in the apartment. Obviously they have no interest in helping us. The place looked like it had not been cleaned....EVER! My garage is cleaner than their apartment. This is a terrible company who is primarily aimed at cheating tourists out of their money. If anyone has any sort of class action they are taking against them, please count me in! read more

My family and I rented an apartment at 70 Roger de Flor. The building is in a really good area close to transportation. The staff person that met us was wonderful. But the unit was not what we expected. It has 6 units and they won't tell you what unit you have until you arrive. The unit did not have any comforters and only sheets. The towels were old and the bed was very hard and uncomfortable. The pics don't match the units in the building. One positive was that they did respond immediately to the drainage problem in one of the bathrooms and in addition they also fixed the broken sink faucet. But this was found in this condition when we arrived. The other issue is that the washer is on the balcony. Yes the balcony and had no dryer. The pool on the roof had about 50 plus tiles missing. A lot of potential but not worth it. The units have potential but have been neglected . BEWARE! read more

My trip was due to be March 17, 2020, and was booked through VRBO. My flights to Barcelona were canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, and with the quarantine orders in both Spain and the US, it was literally impossible to leave the country. Despite a policy by VRBO enforcing hosts allow for rebooking at the very least, MySpace Barcelona REFUSED my MULTIPLE requests for a rebooking or refund. I still want to give them my money but they REFUSED. Over $1500 lost because of pure GREED for money. I have hired a lawyer and filed every complaint possible in both the US and Barcelona. This company is a total scam from initial booking to arrival and doesn't even deserve 1 star! The company list the available apartments on various sites such as VRBO, Airbnb, Homeaway. All of the pictures for the apartments look beautiful which led us to book. Once we inquired about the apartment, we received an email from an employee directing us to pay the deposit through their own website which would secure our reservation. We booked "Apartment Rambla Catalunya City Center" (http://www.myspacebarcelona.com/barcelona-apartments/apartment-rambla-catalunya-city-center-h1012.aspx). If you book directly though myspacebarcelona.com, your money is not protected if something goes wrong. When we arrived in Barcelona, we were instructed to go to the company office which was 10-15 minutes away from where we were staying. This was a very big inconvenience since we were traveling with 8 people with luggage. Be prepared for a $400+ security deposit and to sign a contract before seeing the apartment. Once you pay the deposit and sign your life away with the contract, they give you the keys. Once we finally arrived at the apartment, it was a complete disaster and was comparable to a prison cell. The apartment had no working air-conditioning, broken furniture, absolutely filthy kitchen, and the bathroom ceilings were covered in mold. The loft, which they claim to be another bedroom/bathroom had ceilings about 3 feet high causing people to crawl on their knees to get across the room. The shower in the loft was 2 feet by 2 feet and would be impossible to take a shower. The smell of bleach throughout the apartment was toxic. Given the mold, no air-conditioning in the middle of the summer, and unsafe living conditions, we went right back to the leasing office to address our concerns. The leasing office did not have any other available apartments and they refused to give us our money back. We immediately called our credit card company to dispute the charges and are still going through the dispute process 4 weeks later. I arranged a rental in Barcelona in the Eixample district through HomeAway and My Space Barcelona substituted another unit in the same building after the lodging booking was confirmed. The unit received was a mess - dining table and bathroom are together on the sun porch. Most of the electric outlets don't work. How about a 1.5 meter high ceiling in one of the bedrooms and bathroom? My Space would do nothing when confronted with their fraud. read more

I write with regards to our recent stay at your apartments, B31 & B32 gracia with pool apartments on Thursday 22nd June - 25th June 2017. We are so disappointed with your apartments and the service we had. In fact utterly disgusted!! We booked these two apartments in good faith, expecting them to be clean, the decor & contents as per the photos & description (within reason), and fit for us to use. In fact the apartments we booked we supposed to be as follows: 2 x 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 1 toilet & fully equipped kitchen (please see attached booking confirmation). What we actually received & stayed in was as follows: 2 x 1 double bedroom and 2 single bedrooms with a pull out bed, 2 bathrooms and not a fully equipped kitchen!! Please see below our list of complaints: - not 3 double bedrooms, 2 bathrooms & 1 toilet - we did not get what we booked - lights not working, mainly lights in the hallway of B31 & in the bedrooms - Filthy dirty beside tables in both apartments, B1 having drink rings and cigarette ash on them, B32 had drink rings. - The toilet seat in B31 was not attached. - The sinks in B32 bathrooms did not drain away. - There was toilet paper stuck to the tiles in the bathroom of B31 - There was poo under the sink on the tiles - The bottom drawer in B32 was not even attached - The shutters in B31 at the back did not close - There was no hairdryer in B31 - There was no kettle in B32 -The bed linen in B31 had blood stains on it. -The bed linen in B32 had dirty marks down it -The stair rail in B31 was hanging off and dangerous -There was a screw sticking out of the decking around the pool -The decking around the pool was loose and dangerous - Dents in door & cracked tiles in bathrooms - Dirty cutlery in the drawer - only 2 tea cups in B31 -broken soap dish -I stepped on a piece of glass in the bath in B31!!!! - Bathroom locks getting stuck, and eventually we did not use them as was too distressing -Lights hanging off of walls -wires hanging down in the kitchen -unfinished bathroom in B32, bare wood unpainted -no soft furnishings in B31 at all -not enough bedding in B31, we had to use bottom sheets from the spare pull out bed -drink drips down wardrobe doors -dirty red pillows on the beds I have previously attached photos for you to look at & attached more for you, i have also attached photos that were online when we booked the apartment, just to show you how different it looks from what we arrived too. After sending you our complaints and being told that someone would meet us at the apartment, no one came. This is also shocking considering there was someone from your offices in the next apartment whilst we were waiting for you, but we were told yo didn't have time. Surely you should have made the time to visit us considering how many issues we had. You did fix the lights, the toilet seat & the sinks, but we asked you not to enter the apartments whilst we were not there as we had personal valuable items there. You did not do as we requested. We did not give you permission to enter. We are totally appalled a the apartments & the lack of service from you. We paid an extra 60 euros per apartment for cleaning, yet we arrived at dirty apartments. THis is not acceptable. shocked and disappointed is an understatement!!! & now you are trying to tell us that we checked out late and want to charge us an extra 80 euros, let alone my 600 euro deposit that I have not received back yet!! This company will look for any excuse to keep your deposit. We paid for 6 people to stay in the apartment, upon arrival we discovered only 5 beds. Where is the 6th person supposed to sleep unless you are advertising the sofa as a bed? We wanted an apartment with air con, this did not work our whole stay despite repeated emails asking for advice on how to fix. One of the bedrooms (if you can call it that, two beds squeezed into a room so their is barley room to move) did not have a working light the whole stay. The apartment is advertised as having two bathrooms. Only one of these was functioning during our stay with one shower working and no plugs for either bath. once again we emailed about this issue and was ignored (conveniently your company seems to ignore emails problems your customers are having but are quick to send out emails if you have a problem) On our first day we discovered a man in our apartment. This was very concerning for five young girls to discover a stranger had let himself into our apartment whilst we were getting changed and our money was on display. We were not warned to expect someone and this was very distressing for the group. The apartment was also advertised as having a hammock, where was this? We hired an apartment with a swimming pool as it was quite far from the beach. On the one day we attended the pool we discovered the water was dirty, tiles were missing in the pool and there was only seating for one person so we did not use this for the rest of our stay. When signing the contract you ask us to keep the apartment in the same condition you find it in. This is difficult when you are provided with no cleaning equipment or bin bags. We accept responsibility for some noise on the first night and made a effort to not cause any more disruption during our stay and no longer used our speaker and made sure to be quiet when coming in from nights out. We have video evidence of other groups coming in being very noisy in the early hours of the morning and was frustrated to discover another warning letter pinned to our door the next morning. Prehaps the noise would be less if we had working air con and did not have to keep the windows open. The €250 safety deposIt is actually €400 and they will look for any excuse not to refund this. We stayed with them for 3 weeks during Christmas, in 2 different apartments. Their staff is unfriendly to the point of being offensive. In the first apartment we stayed we were robbed valuable items by them or their cleaning staff. They never responded to that even though we insisted several times,more than a dozen times, , through mail and phone. Could not get a conversation with Vanessa the manager or any other staff member about it. They totally ignored us. Then we rented another apartment with them, that did not match what was published online: it was old and poorly equipped, curtain was broken, so was the shower and part of the deck, among other things. When they ask us for the remaining payment for the second apartment we told them we would like a meeting with the manager to solve things out, and they ignore us again. We were one day late with remaining payment and they sent someone that threat us and sent us the Mossos (Police) at 10pm!!! The Mossos said that way of acting was unbelievable and encourage us to bring them to Consumer Office for a report. They left and after that this member of the staff (José Luis) cut us the electricity and water!!! At 10 at night!! Then he came back and said do you pay or not?¿ Awful experience. They should not be in business almost unlawful practice!! I am from Barcelona and I am ashamed at the way they treat tourists. And, final touch, 10 days after having left the apartment we still did not get our deposit back, which we asked about by mail, again no answer. I called today, and this person, José Luis, who of course know who I am and what he did, tells me we might not get it back because the apartment was dirty...?¿ Again, a robbery. MORE SOON. read more

This was meant to be a special trip but turned out to be a nightmare. The service is bad, as they charge for everything and do not reply to my messages. They are rude and unprofessional. "Buyer be ware" I never stayed here I emailed to inquire about rates and dates for a trip that would be scheduled 6 months in advance. The next day they called me and kept calling everyday till I book online. Upon booking I saw a breakdown in fees which stated there was a 72euro tax per person and we are a family of 10 that would be traveling and canceled 10 mins. Later the next day I was informed that their cancelation policy was full loss of your deposit and then asked "so do you still want to cancel" for this reason I would not recommend this company. And yes I did cancel and notified my bank, the BBB and am writing reviews where ever possible. read more

After months of research and looking at 100's of properties to find the perfect apartment for my family of 5, I selected the apartment, The Ramblas Luxury A. I booked it 7 months in advance. The pictures were absolutely stunning and one of the reasons of choosing this apartment. Unfortunately, the pictures are completely different than what the actual apartment looks like. The apartment has been stripped of everything you see in the photos and is just a shell with only furniture and wall mounted lights. Everything single piece of art is gone from the walls, every rug is gone, every throw pillow, bedspread, blanket, decoration, etc. is stripped from the apartment. It was shocking to walk in and see the desolation. Apartment was not clean, floors had to be mopped. Internet is intermittent at best and hot water is non-existent. No usable towels, washcloths or bathmats provided. Advertisement states there is a balcony but is not a real balcony. It's actually been turned into a bathroom. There is no access to the outside except by window. Also, be aware you MUST check in to their office across town to get the keys.This was not relayed until AFTER booking. This is terrible if you are traveling with a group with luggage after a long haul flight. These issues were brought to the attention of the staff and we were completely ignored. Sent a worker who I showed live bugs to, they stripped beds. No offer of a habitable place, or even an apology. Then refused to refund my money. Luckily credit card company took care of that. We found a nice apartment through AirBNB. I recommend looking elsewhere, anywhere else. read more

We have had the following problems: The apartments were not found to be in a good stay: - There was pee on four beds - Two apartments were smelly from piss in the bathrooms - they haven't been cleaned properly - We found remainders of cannabis in one apartment on the table - not precisely the kind of business experience you would like your team to have - Door handle broken, making one apartment only accessible at 11:00 PM at night This means four bedrooms have been fully unusable. The situation was shared with My Space Barcelona three times (2x phone conversations + e-mail). Despite those approaches, My Space Barcelona did not clean up the apartments as a result of this - latest at this point in time this becomes unacceptable. A refund was not given. read more

None of the apartments looks like advertised. The rental also comes with a long list of things you can't do. (like using the balcony after 8pm.) One thing you need to be aware about if you book any apartment through Myspace Barcelona is that they will try their absolut best to NOT refund your security deposit of 300-400 euro. We finally got our deposit back one month after our departure and after dussins of e-mails. They replied twice that the refund was completed but that turned out to be a lie. We are not the only ones who has experienced this so don't expect your money back at the first try. read more

Myself and 2 friends stayed in an apartment belonging to Myspace Barcelona 5 years ago. The apartment was average and when we complained about a couple of things they did nothing. They were minor and we were only there for a few days so just accepted them. But afterwards I received marketing emails, I unsubscribed a number of times but I still received them, eventually after getting in touch with the company direct the emails stopped. Recently I have been receiving marketing emails again and again even although I have unsubscribed from them at least 5 times and been in contact with the company I am still receiving the marketing emails. If you do want to book an apartment through MyspaceBarcelona just be aware that you might not get what you asked for and that they might continue to email you after you have asked them not to. Not only did they give us an apartment that wasn't the one in the photos, (in the same complex but different apartment), which we got a small amount of compensation for - they took out 400 euros out of my account back in July 2016 on arrival! They've given me lots of empty promises again and again via email but no money back to this day! They only gave me the compensation, as Housetrip made them but seeing as they've taken 400 out my account and said sorry they will return it asap, that compensation is irrelevant now! read more

The place we lived in was dirty, sticky, no additional toilet paper, dirty towels, bad wi-fi signal, floors sound terrible when you walk down the stairs, the neighbours were eventually not warned about this place policy (no noise after 10 pm), they had parties every day till 5-6 am, it was impossible to sleep. And the worst of them all- bed bugs!! They were everywhere, we had to check every single piece of belongings to make sure we won't bring it home. We have been emailing since June to see what progress has been made with our complaint. But we are being ignored. A very special birthday was ruined by the awful apartment and the total unsuitability of it for our group. The apartment was dirty, the bathrooms were appalling, there were no dining chairs or cooking equipment and the pool was empty. The photographs and description are completely mis-leading. To add insult to injury we were overcharged compared to the price we were quoted. One of our group has been in contact separately about this but has not heard back either. read more

The apartment we stayed in was perfectly nice, however even though we left it exactly how we found it they are refusing to refund our 400 Euro deposit. During our stay we received a noise complaint, this should not however effect our security deposit which is for damages of which we caused none! We paid an extra 80 Euros to check out late on our last day, they didn't mention at any time that our security deposit would not be refunded at that point. If they had made that clear we would not have paid anything extra! From reading previous reviews it would seem that they keep everyone's security deposit for one reason or another, complete scam! We were a group of 10 women, if you are looking to go out and enjoy Barcelona night life I would not recommend this apartment, you are overlooked by residents who complain at the slightest amount of noise. Our flight arrived at around 10pm, when we arrived at the apartment we sat outside at the table to have some dinner, we were just talking and eating and received a complaint about that. On our second night we made some noise for around 20 minutes when we returned home from a nightclub and received another complaint. This apartment is not suitable for anyone looking to have some fun on their holiday, it is in a built up area surrounded by local residents, which is completely unsuitable for holiday makers. This should not affect whether or not a damages deposit gets refunded! read more
