Delicious burritos. Crunchy chicken is by far the best, and it was packed full of ingridients

Man, what a hidden gem!…read more Worth the drive, if you don't live close by, for the BEST birria tacos in the GTA. I've also tried Comal y Canela, and I love these ones even more. They even have a special on Wednesdays and Fridays: buy one set of tacos and get the second 50% off. Bring cash as you get an extra 5% off! Food: Birria Tacos - 5/5 - I never give anything this rating. I don't know if I was just really hungry, but these were the best tacos I've had in the GTA. Truly delicious and the birria sauce just hits the spot. Carne Tacos - 3.8/5 - Still also really good and authentic, but compared to the Birria, probably wouldn't get this again and just stick to the Birria. Rice and beans - 4/5 - Tasty and authentic; it is what it is! Service: 5/5 - The friendliest, cultural staff, with a smile on their face and happy to serve. Ambiance - 5/5 - Reminded me of Mexico City... brought me back in time, really hit a sense of Nostalgia from one of my favourite places in the world. Loved, loved, loved this place and can't wait to go back!

Stopped by for brunch at Next Door, located in the heart of Main St. Unionville. The restaurant is…read moreunique in a sense where it's situated in the historical Unionville Planing Mill. Was seated in their dinning hall ( the other side is more of a bar) and ordered a brunch tower for two. The tower includes their signature malaysian scrambled eggs, chorizo sausage, bacon, Brussel sprouts, toast with buttermilk pancakes stacked at top of the tower. The tower was beautifully presented and what I love most about the tower is their pancakes. Truly fluffy and light with whipped cream on top of it. Overall, service was efficient and attentive, often checked on and refilling water. On top of that, the restaurant has great decor and parking is provided in the back of the restaurant. Its considered on a slightly higher end for brunch ($20-30 range), but it was truly an amazing experience. They also have daily promos so worth checking out for dinner and late night deals.

I must say that I do understand why people are drawn to the restaurant - it is very pretty and makes for wonderful pictures! This includes the lovely visuals of the food, which is beautifully presented and extremely photogenic. The taste of the food, although quite acceptable, fell just a bit short of its looks. The variety of colours was not matched with a variety of flavours, and everything was somewhat on the salty and greasy side. That being said, we very much enjoyed the potato hash, pancakes, and French toast. The portion sizes also outdid themselves - if you're coming here for brunch, just be prepared for a long nap in the afternoon! Service was excellent: prompt, helpful, and friendly. The interior is fairly spacious and elegantly decorated. Overall, a pleasant experience even if it's not the most spectacular - and perhaps worth a visit for some based on the aesthetics alone.

I simply remember a post that said that a new location was about to open in Scarborough. It serves Middle Eastern fare. My habit continues when it comes to looking at food apps to decide where I want to fetch takeout. I found Lonzo's Kitchen on Uber Eats and gave it a shot. There were a bunch of buy-one-get-another-free offers that I couldn't refuse. After having completed my grocery shopping in Whitchurch-Stouffville, I placed my order through the app, which consisted of these items: - Snack-sized wings in mild sauce (5) - BOGO - Snack-sized chicken plate with salad - BOGO It would take me 25 minutes to drive down to northern Scarborough. My food was ready in 20 minutes, so it all worked out. This eatery is on Nashdene Road. I have a vague recollection of hanging around this area when I was in my late teens until my undergraduate years. My mom worked in this area. When I had my dad's car, I'd pick her up from work and we'd run a bunch of errands, from getting tofu cubes packed in water, to fetching a ton of samosas, all within this area. Lonzo's sticks out like a sore thumb in an industrial-business area. Folks get hungry. Boom! There's Lonzo's. It's a smart move. I oddly did not have any problems finding the place. It faces Nashdene. I parked off to the side next to a fence and parallel-parked. You can also go around each unit and park there. I walked in. There were two male guys there. A chair propped the door open. Its position made me wonder whether I actually do enter or if I stand there. I did the former. I said my name. My order was in a paper bag on the counter. The men didn't seem all that friendly. The one man simply said, "It's here." I said thanks and took it. I also took photos. The other man just looked at me as if I were nuts. I didn't really care. I wished them both a nice day. I got nothing back. It wasn't the warmest interaction. I'm not sure if it was due to a language barrier or if that's who they are. Anyway, I happily put my dinner in my car and drove home. I then chowed down. I had the snack-sized chicken plate. I liked the size. It was perfect. The description on Uber Eats was a bit confusing. It said that this plate didn't include salad, but I was able to select salad as my base. The other base options were fries and rice. The chicken morsels looked good underneath the red and white sauces. I was excited to try this meal. It was delicious. The spicy red sauce wasn't excessively hot, but there was some heat. The white sauce tamed it. I just wish that the white sauce had garlic in it. The chicken was nicely seasoned and juicy. The salad has sliced cucumbers, lettuce, tomatoes, and onions. It was crisp and fresh. I would order this dish again. Luckily, I have another one that I plan to have for lunch on Thursday. I love wings. I could not pass up the BOGO wings deal. I got the wings in mild sauce. The wings tasted more like a marinara sauce. There was breading, but they weren't crispy. I did love the flavour. The chicken was tender and done nicely. I chose ranch sauce. This place was generous with the sauce. Other than the lack of warmth that I got from staff, I enjoyed my food. I'd come back and try more. There's falafel, beef, and sweet chili chicken that all intrigued me. (144)

I got the chilli chicken on rice and fries and the flavours all mixed together with their signature sauce is exquisite. Atmosphere: Nothing special about the atmosphere, your typical shawarma place vibes. Price: Very fairly priced, my rice and chicken and fries cost about $14.99 before tax. Food: This is the kicker, the food was so tasty and flavourful. I was so happy I decided to give this place a try, and I hope you do too! Overall I was very satisfied, and I will definitely be coming back!!
