This is a hidden gem in Largo. A true mom and pop shop that cooks all of the Sunday comfort foods. I often get the oxtails and rice. I have also gotten turkey wings as well. I love that they deliver within a 3-5 mile radius. Prices are reasonable and portions are very good. Southern style food but they also have sandwiches and other American fare. Food is decent however when the told us it was 59 bucks.should have only been around 46 - 47 because of the prices on their website! So when I checked the charge this morning 69.70 have an issue with somebody increasing the charge by ten dollars by either adding a damn tip or somebody signing it off. Dont ever go through this place! Because obviously a customers debit card number is not safe. this is how they conduct themselves . I spent my last couple bucks on a celebration dinner for my family. The pork chop dinner at this place is FANTASTIC!!! So good it's all I have ordered in the last few weeks. The Moonlight Shrimp and Sausage is good in both Cajun and Garlic Italian. I have had the Oxtails which are very good also. And their corn bread is the best I have ever had. I don't even like cornbread but I ordered extra this time, it's sooooo good!!!! best food in the area, bar none! Only gets 4 stars because they are understaffed and super slow and some days don't answer because they closed for the day without notice. I've had them say come pick up in 20 minutes, I give them 30 min and show up and have to wait another 30 min. Posting this review today frustrated as they are apparently closed again today. Edit: revised my rating to 5 stars. Reason? A couple days ago they were closed and I had quarter pounder combo McDonald's. It was gross and actually cost more than a meal at Barb's (TJ's). This joint is also much tastier and cheaper than Charlie's Philly cheesesteaks across the street as well. I had a club sandwich it was the worst ever 1 piece of turkey /1 piece of ham/ 1 slice of tomato/ 1 slice of bacon a whole lot of lettuce on 3 pieces of bread. Ordered 2 dinners for delivery. Was told it would be 1 hour. After 1 1/2 hours I called and was told it was being delivered next. It was another 1/2 hour before I got the food. The place is only 1 mile from where I live. So 2 hours to get the food and then it was not even hot, just warm. Nobody said they were sorry. Must be nice to have soo much business that you don't care how you treat the customers. We order from this place very regularly, but they just lost us as customers. This is a "must visit" place! Every single thing is made to order, and freshly prepared. The food was delicious, service was very friendly as well. I had a salad, she cut the veggies and meat all to order. The homemade dressing was worth coming back in itself. The owner of this establishment is the most unprofessional man I have dealt with. I ordered the stuffed tomato and once I cut into it was rotten on the bottom, under the Tuna. It was black and moldy. I called and at first the woman who answered the phone asked, what do I consider rotten or moldy. I ask them to please bring my money back and then the owner got on the phone and said "I just bought the tomatoes yesterday and they are fine. You are the only one to complain about the tomatoes and next time you order, make sure you stay away from the tomatoes." Not quite the response I was expecting. Very good food with ample portions but I probably will not be ordering from them again. I phoned in for delivery at 11:54 am and the food was not delivered until 2:39 pm! Over 1 1/2 hours for a 3.2 mile delivery. I don't think the driver is at fault because the food was very hot when delivered. But, on 4/29/2015 my lunch partner and I visited. Apparently they have new owners. The menu hadn't changed. It took 30 minutes for a patty melt and a chicken salad sandwich to arrive at our table. This restaurant is under new ownership. The new owners specialize in soul food, which is not exactly what I'm used to. However, I have tried, the fried chicken sandwich; which was tender, juicy and extremely flavorful. Last Friday, I tried the fish sandwich which was also very yummy. I came here today for the first time and I will definitely be back! Everything from the food to the service was extraordinary! When I looked at the menu everything stood out! I didn't know what to get because it all looked so good! I ended up getting the patty melt. It was awesome! I could taste every flavor! My sister got the chef salad and it was the freshest salad I've ever seen at a restaurant. She got the blue cheese dressing and it was the best blue cheese I have ever tried. The French fries were delicious, and hand cut there. They had a seasoning on them that was so good! Our table split a cup of the chili and again it was the best chili I have ever had. The table behind us ordered the wings and they smelled and looked better than any of the wing places around. The service was outstanding!
