Everyone is so cool here. And you look cool once you leave. I had to get one of their hats to represent barber stars. However I can't wear it and hide the fresh look. The axe commercials came up with the idea of girls chasing down guys after watching what happens to dudes walking out of barber stars with a clean look. Kobe and Jordan's fades look like Shaq shooting free throws compared to the pros at barber stars. They know how to fade - you won't be able to stop looking at yourself in the mirror. You will be late to every appointment or meeting because you will be still looking at the mirror amazed! You may even get in a car wreck because of looking too much at your hair in the rear view mirror. Best barber shop in town. This place has a great vibe, plays excellent music and all the barbers are top notch. The owner Phil makes everyone feel welcomed and keeps the atmosphere flowin. A new school style shop that my kids and I really enjoy coming to and my wig always looks on point after I leave here. There's not one barber I prefer over the other in this shop. I generally just pull up a seat, shoot the breeze, and jump in the next available chair never with any disappointment. Phil the owner makes sure all is welcomed but on one occasion a customer came in walking his girlfriend on a leash with a collar like she was a dog or something. I want to give special props to Phil for handling that situation professionally and discretely asking them to leave. That was a hard one to explain to my kids, very degrading towards women in my opinion. Barber Starrs is definitely a step in the right direction for Gresham. I'd give this place 10 stars if I could. read more

I really enjoy this place, I only go to Jonah, he's been cutting my hair for quite a while now. He does an excellent job with my haircut, has never skipped a beat. Highly recommend going in if you want a authentic barber shop. Great atmosphere. It feels like a huge conversation going on with Phil leading the charge by starting conversations across the room, which makes waiting enjoyable, and also makes you feel involved. So, I'm a young woman who was looking for a change. My hair is curly, THICK, and it /was/ at my waist; until I walked in to this little shop in downtown Gresham. Phil hooked it up! He was super friendly, made my sister and I feel so very welcome, and he gave me the best pompadour in history. Honestly, I don't want to go anywhere else. Took my son there for the first time. The team was welcoming as soon as you walked in and they were quick to get you started. Would absolutely take him back again when he comes to visit. Th inside had an old feel that reminds me of the barber shops in back in New York. Josh, who did my son's hair was gentle and did exactly what Josh ( my son) wanted. I had the same barber for 12 years and just recently moved to this area. Jeremy was my barber and gave me plenty of options from what my normal haircut was. He basically educated me in different styles that I was not aware of. I stuck to my standard cut and he threw in his style to fit my expectation. Spot on! Great atmosphere and good people. I took my 6 year old to get a haircut here, I forgot then name of the guy but he was the one with the long beard and he did an amazing job!! Exactly from the picture I showed him.
