This was my third time getting my hair cut with Jo. After she cut off half of my left eyebrow while trimming it but my hair cut looked NOTHING like the picture I showed her. I don't know why she would do this then ask me if I liked it. I can only assume that I am not welcome and now I have to get a fix cut because I don't want her anywhere near my head again. This is the worst place I have ever experienced to get your haircut. The names does everything vanishing... It would be best for all of Gresham in the state of Oregon if this place disappeared and vanished altogether. The positive reviews likely came from the person and no longer works there... A younger guy who understood what it means to do a fade. I got a dumb ass looking undercut that I am likely going to have to go get another haircut to try and get it fixed. Jeremiah did my husband's hair. Have him the full TLC and ol fashion experience. My husband is usually very nervous about how his hair is done, but it's too reserved to describe how he likes it. I don't have much hair left, so going to a salon to get a haircut is like taking an old VW to a Bugatti shop - what's the point. Walking into the Vanishing American Barber Shop is like taking a trip to Mayberry, and dropping by Floyd's barber shop - a little glass store front with an old fashioned barber pole on the wall. It's a one chair affair, and on Saturday the locals show up for a trim - little league in tow. I wait my turn and listen to long-time customers, old friends and neighbors, joke, tease and gossip. Like I said, there isn't much anyone can do for my hair, but a trim doesn't cost much, and my neighbors are entertaining. I also like knowing the money stays in my community. read more

Best Barber shop in town! I had an interview a couple weeks back and needed a haircut. Originally went to a big chain haircut shop and they totally messed up my haircut. It was so bad I didn't think any barber would have been able to fix it. Lucky I ended up stopping by here and Joe was able to completely fix my hair. Great home town barber shop for classic haircuts. $15 for what would cost $25+ at Bishops or downtown. She does shaves, beard trimming, and will clean you up with a straight razor and hot towel if you tip well. read more

My son's long blonde curly hair was butchered by the lady at this location. My husband says he told her to trim his hair and shave the sides a bit and she says he told her something different. Either way she made a crown ponytail, trimmed his hair from the ponytail (which is uneven), and shave all his hair off (which is also uneven) with the lowest setting. She stated that she just did what she was told, but my husband states he didn't say to shave that high up. My biggest problem is she is the professional and if she thought that wasn't a good idea (which she stated on the phone) then start small and see if that is what they meant cause maybe (like she said on the phone) he didn't explain right before you do something you take back. Instead he now he has very little curls and not enough hair to cover his bald head 2 weeks before school pictures. Words can't even express how disappointed I am. read more
