If you are coming by Train from Granville station take the Bridge Street exit and look for Good…read moreStreet just in the middle. This restaurant is just on the right hand side of Good Street. Please do not mistaken this with Himalaya Palace which is just across the road. The buffet table is located in separate room. Please mind your step as you enter or exit this room. To the left you will find salad, dessert and some sauce. One of them is definitely Raita sauce for your Biryani. For their non-veg options, I would recommend their Lahori Chicken, Butter Chicken, Tandoori Chicken and Lahori Fried Fish. I am not a big fan of Lamb dish but the Lamb Madras is yummy enough for me to come back for seconds. From the veg trays I recommend Paneer Tikka Masala, Palak (I was told there is no Paneer) and I think the other two are called Malai Kofta and Daal Makni. If you come here for the carb would suggest take the Biryani and Garlic Naan. Skip everything else to avoid disappointment. Please ensure you leave enough room for two serving of their dessert. This is what makes your dining experience memorable. The name of the dessert is (pardon the spelling) Pista Falooda which is pinkish noodle similar to Indo/Malay cendol with Pistachio Ice cream. You can definitely taste the crunchy Pistachio nuts in it. I would recommend you to start your dinner here before 6 PM to get better service.

Tried their palak paneer and tandoori roti. Must try for all my veggie friends... The palak gravy…read moreis slightly different from the regular creamy gravy but delicious at the same time.

The best Pakistani and Indian Restaurant I've ever had! The food is so good I don't really care…read moreabout everything else. So, what's so good about it, I hear you ask? Every food has the right amount of spice that kicks you as you eat them but not overwhelming. Be warned, their food is spicy, some are mild and some are really kicking. Their Chicken Kharai I always come back here for is full of flavour and it's really spicy, eat it best with Garlic Naan to mop up all those curry goodness. Try the Mango Chicken if you're not a chilli eater, it's mild and unlike any mango chicken I tasted, I can really taste the mango on this dish and they topped it with slivered almonds for texture. If you come here for the first time, you have to try their Tandoori Chicken, it's tender and tasty. Then on the next visit be more adventurous and try their other dishes, like the Shish Kebab or Nahari. Then wash it all down with Mango Lassi. Yum!

I walked in thinking this would be a 4-star review and boy was I disappointed. I'm glad Dr. Skorpio…read morewasn't with me as I would have had a lot of 'splaining to do. The main reason for the two star review is that I got charged $20 for butter chicken, basmati rice and one plain naan. What a rip-off! I ate in for this meal - not sure if that meant higher prices. The serve of butter chicken was not that generous and looked more than what it was due to the large amount of sauce. The dish was a little spicy and more tangy than creamy. The naan was fresh and hot out of the tandoor but I found that it dried out very quickly which made it crusty and chewy. Yes yes yes, I know some restaurants charge upwards of $20 for a butter chicken dish alone and some places charge $16 for takeaway. So I did think afterwards that maybe the cost was due to having eaten in instead of ordering take-away. But then I would expect that the serve of chicken should have been larger. And yes, perhaps ordering something else on the menu, ordering the dishes that are the house specialties would have made this a better experience, but alas, I didn't. I had a butter chicken craving. So if you are seeking a budget friendly rendition of butter chicken with rice, or the north indian westernised creamy version of this dish, looks elsewhere. Maybe I should head over to Harris Park where I hear they have some amazing Indian restaurants.
