One of the top shawarma places in London. It is always consistent. Chicken Shawarma wrap is straight fire. The building is great, huge selection of drinks and great portions. Staff is friendly. Top notch

Barakats is the best Arab restaurant in London. Their food is authentic, and never disappointing. Wait times can be a little bit slow, but their food makes up for it. The service is pleasant whenever my father and I go. I love their chicken skewers, and hummus. I usually get the family platter, which good enough for 7 people :) Also, they have senior discounts, and accept UWO Student Meal Plan Card.

Well it looks like things have changed over here at Barakat. They wouldn't honour the BOGO free soup off Ubereats pickup because they forgot to change that it wasn't sold out yet the app said it was. They stopped using crispy coated French fries and now use bland unsalted regular fry's. And to top it all off have cut the portion sizes in HALF(see photos, it looks like a kids meal) Guy at the till asks me what I want, I say everything and when I get home both shawarma combos have just meat and pickles on them. Oh sorry, my very last bite had a tiny piece of tomato. Speaking of the guy at the till who I believe is the owners son tells me to tap my card, I say I don't have tap and he tells me to tap it again then I take the debt machine to insert my card, he shakes his head at me and turns away in disbelief as if I'M the fucking idiot. Pal you sit at a counter and press a few buttons on a screen, you're a nobody. Take the silver spoon out of your ass and use it for something productive for once in your life. I don't know what happened to that place recently but it took a turn for the worst. I'll be checking out the Shelby's at Oxford and wonderland next time.

We made a simple inquiry, the owner starting arguing over the phone. Terrible customer services.

Food is above average. Service is well below average. Wait time can be quite long too.

Even though I was ordering to go, they promptly helped me and even offered a comfortable seat on their couch while I waited. My food was ready in about 10 minutes--fast and efficient. I ordered the lamb skewers dinner, which came with rice, pita, and a cup of lentil soup. The lamb was fantastic: nicely seasoned, tender, and cooked perfectly. This was a great experience all around. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to Erie so I can order again and try more items from their menu. Solid choice for quick, high-quality Mediterranean food--highly recommend!

It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night and they just had one girl working who was doing a fantastic job. She was waiting tables, and cashing out customers, and trying to help with the DoorDash orders. It is a nicely decorated restaurant inside with cute wood cuttings on the walls. We sat in a booth near the back. We ordered the baba ghanoush, which was a large portion and came with pita bread. The pita bread could've been a little fresher I think that was our only complaint. The dip was great though, very flavorful & topped with tomatoes. I ordered the chicken Shawarma platter & it came with a massive amount of kepsa rice (you can also just get plain rice, but I do recommend this special kind of rice cooked in tomato and seasonings). I got lentil soup as my side. My husband got the chicken kebab platter and I have to say after tasting the kebab that it was outstanding and I liked grilled kabobs even better than my chicken Shawarma. He had a nice size side salad as his side, and he also ordered a lentil soup in addition which comes with lemon & crispy pita chips. We had an entire box of food, including probably 4 cups of rice and half of both of our chicken portions to take home. We also had a little bit of the baba ghanoush pita bread to take home as well. We would definitely return to this place. They had free refills on sodas as well. As we were leaving, a guy came in trying to order and kept asking the price... Whatever he wanted to order he did not have enough money for and the girl finally said don't worry about it. She'll take care of it and she'll let him order it anyway! So that was nice. I mean that's not something that normal restaurants would do!

The dips were all delicious and rich, and the pita was fresh and warm. The garlic aioli was also strong and creamy. The atmosphere was very family friendly with an almost cafeteria-like feel. Very casual and comfortable environment, with fast and easy service. The washrooms also surprised me with tampons and pads for anyone who needed one. All in all, food was authentic, delicious, and reasonably priced. Definitely recommend.

I remember trying it (takeout) years ago but this is the first time I came in for dine-in. I love the cozy interiors and aesthetics. Decor is nice especially the booth seatings. Menu has a wide variety of options to choose from, but we opted for the family platter since it seemed like the best option for sharing. Portion was quite generous and a decent amount to share. We got the BBQ chicken ($74.99) which came with either rice or fries (or you could do half/half), salad of your choice (we opted for fattoush), 2 dips of your choice (we chose baba ghanoush & muhammara), 4 fresh pitas & a whole chicken. Restaurant has a lot of parking and seating. Staff were nice but it was a bit of a slow service (had to constantly ask for things, such as cutlery, plates, etc). The washroom had the A/C on blast and it was freezing cold but at least it was clean. Now for the food - everything we had was pretty good. I usually don't like garlic sauce but the one that came with the food was pretty creamy and delicious. As for the baba ghanoush, it didn't taste like it but it still had a nice flavour. The Muhammara was amazing, not overly spicy. As for the fattoush, I found it just OK. I've had better ones elsewhere and I find that it lacked the crispy pita bites, as there was only a few. However, it's worth noting that the chicken took around 30-40 minutes to be ready, which I didn't mind because it came well seasoned and well done. It was not too dry, but not juicy either but seasoned well. The rice was also ok and I like that the food wasn't too greasy, but the plate came with way too many onions... I'd recommend this spot and would come back if I'm ever in the area. Would love to try other dishes on the menu.
