It's also pretty reasonable so and right Downtown Toronto, so you gotta like that. If you're catching a afternoon matinee at the Scotiabank movie theater, it steps away, so pretty handy. The server was really fantastic. Very knowledgeable, and just really friendly and personable. Highly recommend for the service alone. There's a variety of booze and you can even sit at the bar if you want. So it seems to be quite spacious. You can also reserve an Open table. We had a big breakfast with French toast. I found the bacon could've been a little more well cooked for me. Especially since I asked for it being crispy, but it was OK. The rest was pretty good like I said a standard breakfast. And they did leave us alone to kind of have a nice chat . Getting there. I know there are parking garages nearby including one right next to the Scotiabank Theatre. Otherwise, there's TTC that will get you close by. It's located on the SE corner of Richmond and Peter.

Our first choice was completely full, so we walked a little and wound up at The Wicket. I'm so glad we did. We immediately managed to snag a pretty sweet table and the guy who served us was very friendly and efficient. Everyone wound up getting beer and I decided to order the Fried Chicken Sandwich ("lettuce, tomato and sriracha aioli") for food. It's a decent sandwich. The bread and toppings were quite good, and the fried chicken was fresh and tasty. I will say, though, that the chicken itself wasn't exactly plentiful. It seemed like a got a few bites that were either just bread or just fried breading. Still, I loved the ambiance and the service. I'll definitely return.

I had the Henderson's Food Truck. Henderson's is a local brewery and I've had it prior it's always good. I ordered the Fried Chicken dinner. The fried chicken was well seasoned and juicy! The Wicket is a cool spot. We are running out of cool small local bars and need to continue supporting them. I definitely recommend this place 5 outta 5!

Ambiance - 4/5: similar to most sports bar, it's dim and loud with a lot of sports games on tv. They had a lot of reservations so the tables were split off for our small reservation. It felt a little tight. There seems to be 2 levels of seating. Service - 3.75/5: we got there early but they were nice enough to seat us early. The host sweetly pulled out my seat for me. It took us awhile to decide what to order but the server was patient with us. He checked in on us a few times. Maybe because the tables are tight, servers kept knocking into my chair seving other patrons and my seat is all the way into the table. Food - 3.5/5: I appreciate that the menu gives little historical moments that happened over the years. we ordered: Spinach dip - comes with chips and pita. Some of the chips were heavily seasoned. The pita is soft but doesnt really absorb much of the spinach dip. The dip itself is light in flavor. I prefer the chips over the pita Steak frites - we ordered medium rare and they got the cook right. The steak knife is very bendy. It should have been a AAA striploin but for some reason it felt tough and was hard to cut through. The charcoal grill marks made the exterior too burnt, giving it a bitterness to the steak. It came with an arugula salad and a very genorous portion of fries. Everything was seasoned well. The arugula salad and the chimmichuri on the steak had a tartness to it which added some brightness to the dish. I typically don't use ketchup but I needed it to help me with the fries. I could not finish the fries Sundae - there's probably only 1 scoop worth of vanilla ice cream. It comes in a cup with whipped cream and berries. Overall: 3.75/5 - If we come back, I might try other food items.

We absolutely love this place. It's the perfect sports bar: an insane number of gigantic TVs, all showing different games, high-energy vibes, and consistently great service. Food-wise, we ALWAYS get the Garlic Knots; they're our absolute favourite. We've never had a bad menu item here, and the drinks are always solid. One important tip: I highly recommend booking in advance, especially on any sort of game day. This place fills up fast, and for good reason. Their drink menu is impressively broad, with a strong whisky selection from different regions, plus plenty of cocktails, spirits, and wine. I especially loved the Scotchman in Sidecar, which blends Té Bheag and Laphroaig with Cointreau and lemon. It had this really interesting balance of smoky peat and bright citrus. Naked and Famous was also great if you like something a little sharper and more refreshing, while the Mango Mojito leaned sweeter and easier to sip. The food was just as enjoyable. The Neapolitan-style wood-fired pizzas were probably my favorite part of the meal, with a chewy crust and really satisfying flavor. The Savory Peach from the summer specials was surprisingly good, especially with the spicy sauce on the side, and the Spicy Ropressata was another standout if you like something a little salty and bold. We also tried the Shepherd's Pie, which was warm, hearty, and comforting, and the oysters were fresh and good quality too. Overall, it feels like one of those cozy places that works equally well for drinks, a casual date night, or a laid-back evening with friends.
